How true. I also would have liked it if Mike would have then said: "You know if you pry, Eve is going to not tell you anything." "Haven't you learned that?"

Star Wars Rebels - General Discussion

Very happy with this episode, even with the Sand People. Ezra got taken by surprised and why he didn't use his lightsabre. However, so many great moments. Chopper running out of power and Ezra hugging him. His moment with Kenobi and that final bit after Maul was defeated and how Obi-wan closed his eyes and that look. Wow! It might be 3D animation, that scene hit you in the feels when Maul said: "Then he will avenge us both..." -
I agree with that. Also, going back to Eve, at this point in time, when someone is in their late teens and they are like the other parent, most mothers or fathers just go: "That's how they are." and leave it at that. With Vanessa it is like she never learns anything, but it goes back to how Mike acts. He has gotten to the point he is so "His way or the highway thinking." Every time he makes a decision, he is forced in that world view. It was like a few episodes ago with the entire tutoring in Outdoor Man and Vanessa trying to start a tutoring business. Mike read it and was like: "Not in my house and not with Ryan. Screw that crap!" Then Vanessa was all: "Oh you are so right, Mike!" Bullshit! In this case all Mike had to say was: "Vanessa, get over it!" "Eve is old enough, she is like me, she doesn't care. If she does, she will tell you or me. Like she always does." Eve could have stopped it all by saying: "Why can't I come to your parents?" Simple as that, and he would have given her the main reason.

I'm in full agreement. I think if they would have just had Mandy and Kyle basically shown that winning isn't everything. They would have come across as less idiotic. Sadly, much like other shows that are on the air too long, they start focusing on the troupes of characters. Kyle and Mandy haved to the point I'm surprised they can get dressed in the morning. Everything with Eve could have been avoided if Eve would have just said: "It feels weird that my boyfriend doesn't want to invite me to his parents because what does that mean for our relationship?" "Should we just break up or talk?" Simple as that, no they have both Mike and Vanessa come across as stupid. Mike wants to be: "I'm a guy, I don't care about feelings." Vanessa: "I need to know what is going on in my kids' lives 24/7." As for Kristen and Ryan, I mean really, what is the point anymore? They seem to not care about anything, Kristen caves to Ryan's idiocy, Ryan has to have an opinion on everything and never wants to hear the other side of the story. Plus, the wardrobe department makes Amanda Fuller look horrible, I mean I have not seen her in one outfit this season that doesn't make her look horrid. I mean the green dress with the faux leather jacket. Made her hips look HUGE.

I think it was nice that it expanded on the data implants and here was an entire crew set up to not only be data retrievers, but spies too. -
I'm not there, but really after this, it's getting closer and closer to me turning off the Baxters for good. I'm tired of Mike having to be an asshole over the smallest things. Vanessa needing a brain, the constant giving Ryan of responsibilities that he and Mike will ALWAYS turn into some stupid debate and everyone else missing a braincell or forgetting what happened two episodes ago.

I've learned over the course of three seasons, don't mess with Hera in general. I was wondering when someone would catch on that Chopper had been an infiltrator many times. Yes, the Empire has been watching, they just didn't put 2 and 2 together. I don't know why, but LP's song at the end had me laughing. -
Yes, the episodes were aired out of order. Kate Mulgrew even had an interview in TV guide about her new hairstyle, but said it would be back and forth for most of the season because the filming schedule was done due to other actors summer commitments. If you notice in the season some actors appear only in certain sequences.

S01.E20: In the Hands of the Prophets

I agree, Winn's problem was I felt that they had this problem putting her in either full on villain mode than misguided religious leader with entitlement. Flash forward to season 3 and the entire situation she caused over farm equipment. That just painted Winn as a moron who had too much power. Like a food manager who was 23 and making $80K and all of a sudden feels they know better than anyone. After that, I had groan every time they used her. The final two seasons, they seemed to finally balanced the character again and her end was fitting in the finale. -
I'm not sure why the writers think that as soon as Vanessa gets a good standing on anything, they have to have either Mike or Ed tear it all down. Not to mention, WHY THE HELL DOES SHE ALWAYS TURN TO RYAN? Especially when he was one of the main reasons she quick her job at the energy company along with Eve's stupid classmates, who are never mentioned EVER! This is only the 2nd time they have mentioned that Ryan has a degree in History and since he got certified to homeschool Boyd. Now, Vanessa figures out he should have been a teacher himself, which several people have said, including me since day 1. Of course, it has to turn into: Mike vs. Ryan's political views again. I also like how Mike said that during the Regan years America was at it's financial best. Umm... no. He had to lift the debt ceiling almost 8 times he was very anti-communist (which they got that right) he had to deal with a very hard time on the economy and other situations. The 80s was a good time, but wasn't the financial best. I did want Vanessa at the end to just tell MIke: "Why is me either having a goal or when it has anything to do with the house all of a sudden a bad thing?" Same goes with Eve's music all of a sudden, she cares about it again? Wasn't it just three episodes ago, she was done for good and went back to the Air force? If she would have said she wants to just get a little extra money and doesn't want websites to get most of the money. Then OK. Other wise it was like she wanted to make it BIG again. Poor Kyle, leave him alone.

Spoilers and Spoiler Speculation: Benchmarking
readster replied to stopthestatic's topic in Grey's Anatomy
The fact that Diane has the type of breast cancer that she has. It would be much more noticeable and I hope they explain that she has been with some kind of treatment while she has been gone. If she hasn't, she look like she had been hit with a car. I'm wondering if they will explain why she told Maggie that after leaving her father, she felt she finally breathe for the first time in ten years. That response means that her ex-husband was controlling or in Diane's mind, made her feel like she was being controlled. Being Grey's of course she had to be cheating on him for almost 4 years with their car guy. Which seems that relationship was over the way Diane was talking last time. -

I can see how Thrawn would have talked: "The new TIE Defender worked perfectly!" "Yes, they were able to get the better, but this proves my plan was great." Crewman: "Admiral, the other Star Destroyers are lost causes." "Quiet!" "I'm immerse in my amazing plan." -

I'm sure the Governor survived, I would have been happy if that would have been her final scene because it would have been fitting with Mon Motha setting up her Alliance and the governor's beginning to fall apart. -
I know they wanted to bring Opaka back, but Michael Piller said they couldn't figure out the right story to bring her in. Hence they left it until as you know, she shows back up in the novels. It was like how they killed off Bareil, while his final arc was so sad, the plan was to put Winn as a main advisory for Sisko and the crew, who viewed the Federation as just as evil as the Cardassians.

Something I think that was a problem with the entire DMZ was I think they put Starfleet as idiots who wanted everyone to play nice. I was happy that DS9 wrote out Admiral McChariff, she was such a useless character. Something however the bothered me was having Tom show up in classic TNG uniform when Generations had been out a while and he should have been wearing the current uniform. With all that said, I loved the use of Tom, especially his strategy against the Cardassians and how he saw things with the Maquies.

Star Wars Rebels - General Discussion

There were some very weird plot holes or rushes. Another thing was both Star Destroyers left ablaze from the nebula. I would have loved one completely exploding and then our usual "run away villains" coming out looking scared and hurt and then Thrawn seeing this going: "Well played." I liked how the TIE Defender was destroyed. -
No he just discovered that The Republican Party can do no wrong, EVER and the Democratic Party is EVIL! no matter what. Yet, Liberals and environmentalists are complete MORONS! Why they made Ryan a left wing idiot vegan who finds something wrong with everything, even where your shoelaces are made. Because it's money and evil!

Loved everyone's reaction from the TIE Defender popping out of hyperspace and taking out Gold Squadron. However, I also loved how they took the TIE out and the Star Destroyers with the nebula. I sadly did want a certain mustache admiral to finally go down with the ship though. -
Pretty much. As they said: "We noticed a temporal anomaly and then you appeared." From how I can even give the Bosmon a pass for almost hitting the Enterprise. Basically they were just on their merry way and then they saw clouds and when they came out there was the Enterprise. Like a car that backs out suddenly from the driveway and doesn't see the car coming down the road.

Besides her outfits, they put her in a wig since she had her hair shaved underneath and they kept parting her hair and it look just horrible on her. She has looked like she has been either pregnant, too thin or too heavy in half the outfits they have put her in the last three years. I still can't get over those two uni-boob sweaters she was in last season. I think besides the writing, the wardrobe has given up on several of the actors. There was an outfit that Nancy Travis was wearing that tried to make her look like she was 28 again and while I still find Nancy a very attractive woman. The outfit made her look like someone having a midlife crisis.

Yes, Cause and Effect was one of those episodes that could have gone wrong, but went pretty well acted and filmed. I do remember they said they filmed the destruction of the Enterprise from 8 different cameras and angles. Because they wanted to just blow up one model up. However, each time it looked like a different destruction of the ship, but from different angles. Poor Beverly though, no matter what she did, she just couldn't keep her glass from breaking. The only problem was when the USS Bosman almost hit the Enterprise. It was like they were on instant inertia. I mean I get the Enterprise couldn't get out of the way, but why the hell was the Bosman just going forward so when Kelsey Gramer said they almost hit them. I wanted to say: "Why the hell didn't you hit your thrusters or try to alter course?" They just kept going.

That's exactly it and when Vanessa was saying it was something she enjoyed doing when she was young. What? Since when has there every been a main emphasis on Vanessa's church going? I mean they constantly want Ryan to be so anti-church because: "how can you believe in something you can't see?" Yet when the Duck Dynasty guys were on, oh he's praying with everyone at dinner. The inconsistencies are horrible. I mean Ryan hates Christmas because his dad was never home, but he loves getting presents and eating candy and food. Yet this past Christmas he didn't make one complaint. That's another thing, they talk about Kyle's church, but have we ever in the course of 6 seasons ever seen him there?

I loved her on Chuck, even her short term piece on Dr. Vegas was better. I think the problem that really drove me crazy with Berlanti and the Everwood crew was them throwing storylines with no idea where to go with them. In fact, Sarah Lancaster had been cast on Dr. Vegas before they even filmed the last three episodes. They didn't have to do the baby story or had it where she decided to get an abortion or something. Because many fans and critics said that despite a very dramatic story. The reaction was very negative because it was done with no thought process in mind. Similar to Andy's affair in season 3, which everyone admitted it went on way too long for almost 10 episodes and they had it basically being that Andy was trying to get back at his ex-wife for cheating on him. Which even Treat Willaims thought was out of character for Andy, but they said there was a plan, but he didn't know until about 2 episodes before the storyline ended and his reaction was: "Next time, tell me the plan because I hate this and I'm sure others will too." Which they did. Same goes with introducing Nina Young as Erves daughter. They planned on him dying since season 4 started and even told all the actors, but Nina was busy on another project and they producers knew she would be busy. So the excuse she wasn't at her own father's funeral or showed up post funeral was because her baby had an ear infection and her husband couldn't watch the baby by himself. Which made no sense at all.

Yep, he should have. Thrawn might not have known about the planet being replace in his data log. However, Thrawn isn't an idiot, taken by surprised, but no fool. Sad to say, I was hoping the moff was going to get killed by the lieutenant. It would have been a fitting end and would have taken out two problems at once. I think this season is going to come to an explosive end for all of them.
