"Shut up, Al!": Announcing Voices We Love and Hate
sereion replied to selkie's topic in 2016 Olympics
Sanya Richards-Ross mentioned that she wanted to get in to broadcasting after retirement, and I am so glad NBC gave her a shot. She is doing a excellent job, and she has great chemistry with Ato (LOVE) and Tom. I'm also impressed with Trey Harder -

No Tommie didn't have a big tear in her tights. I hope Stevie didn't noticed it....and did she really roll up in Karlie's place without knocking--and jump on her counter? She's a nutcase. Mama Dee's background story was interesting; it answer the question on she went from a nurse to dope dealer to reality star. I'm glad she and Ernest are working on their marriage. Joseline was smart to take photos of her contract; at least she has proof should Stevie tries to pull a fast one. I enjoyed the scene with she and Mimi; to think, a few years ago, they HATED each other, now, confiding in each other. -

If Loving You Is Wrong - General Discussion
sereion replied to Meredith Quill's topic in If Loving You Is Wrong
I agree; Marcie is the only one I'm rooting for on the show--and Claudia. I want to kick the rest of them in the neck. -
Sister Patterson claimed she was perfect and tried to quote the Bible, but Steve called her on it by stating that her behavior does not exemplify perfect, and that no one is perfect. When she tried to takeover, and still denied New York's pregnancy, he basically told her that it was his show and that she was crazy. He went so far in telling her that her brand of crazy makes good comedy material, and their segment was the worst ever because of her. She was so horrible, she ended up being the running joke for the remainder of his show--even a four year girl prayed for her.

Oh Julius, surely you didn't think you'd get a nice inheritance after you tried to off you dad, did you? You need to stop. Now that we know Claudia's sceret, maybe she can finally tell Esperanza to F' off. -
Whoo! That was intense! I'm also glad Ben survives and I can't believe that I actually cheered when I saw Cato; I kinda figured he would, though. Oh, Noah. You should've shot that slave catcher and kept it moving. I hope he finds freedom, too. I enjoyed the standoff between him and the lawmen. Brilliant plan. Careful Suzanne, Ernestine ain't nothing to mess with--just ask Pearly Mae and your husband. With that said, what an evil witch. I hope she gets the worst form of Karma--preferably from Ernestine. I enjoyed the character development of Rosalee; she went from a sheltered housegirl to a full fledged freedom fighters---and she's joining forces with Harriet, lol! The show was phenomenal; the acting, writing, historical references were excellent, and I appreciate the fact that the take no prisoners attitude from the Macon 7 and Ernestine. After watching 12 Years a Slave, it was refreshing to see them stand up for themselves--despite the risks. Season two cannot get here fast enough!

Excellent post, tiredofwork, I could not have said it better myself. I love his movies and his sitcoms, but he falls short when it comes to soaps; I get the campy factor, but as you mentioned, the writing/dialogue is TERRIBLE!! He needs to watch old clips of classic soaps like Dynasty or All My Children as a blueprint---heck, just watch Empire. -
I forgot about that! Welp, you know what they say about Karma...

I know!! I'll take this one--Did they screw and we didn't know about it jGot engaged? Professed their for each other?? If not, she needs to get her life and cut the waterworks. For all she knew, that chick could have been a relative or business partner and she's crying over some man she barely knows. Girl, stop! -
He was starting to grow on me as the show progressed. I have a glimmer of hope that he makes it, but he was at such a disadvantage, I would be surprised if he survives.

Lawd. I need a drink right now---I don't even drink. Tonight's episode had me on a roller coaster. So did Noah throw Cato to wolves? Or did he know that he was capable of fighting the bounty hunters off?....and did he make it? I totally didn't see Rosalee stabbing Ben coming.... This was the best episode yet!

Does anyone watch Steve Harvey's show? Dr. Jen and some of the cast members were guests yesterday; and Sister Patterson showed her evil behind. Tiffany (aka New York) reveal that she had a miscarriage and how Sister Patterson was not supportive, during that time. Her responsive was so dismissive and cold, even Steve was fed up with her to the point where he had put her in her place. Michael and Dina were on there as well, and they seem relatively civil towards each other.

Another Intervention fan in the house! Though I haven't been watching in a while, lol. I agree that Tommie is a little loony, high or both. I sense that when she was willing to catch a ride from a random truck driver and half naked. Does Scrap have children with this chick? If so, he needs to RUN. Since when did Joseline become all messy boots? Isn't that Karlie's line of work? I sooo cannot wait for the Mother's Day Special; Mama Dee and Rasheeda's moms are about to go toe to toe--with Deb as the referee! -
Oh Cato....I knew you couldn't be trusted. Just sad that he threw Zeke under the bus. He went down fighting, though. I just wish he had enough strength to off Stabler. I hate that Ernestine had to poison Pearly Mae(?), but I didn't think she had much of a choice since her daugther is now on the run. I think Rosalee learned her lesson as to not to so trusting.

THANK YOU, Cardi! It's about time someone read Peter for filth! He does not get to call someone a "ho" when he's making babies all over NYC and getting two women pregnant at the same time. I'm so sick of them three; at this point, they need an intervention with Iyanla so she can fix their lives. As dumb as Amina is, she's right; Tara is the Mistress. Seeing two 50+ women fighting on stage is ridiculous; I'd be so embarrassed if that were my mom/grandmother. -

Wow, Kenya's more delusional than I thought; has she not check Kim's IMDB profile lately? Better yet has checked hers?? Before RHOA, Kenya's acting "career" was sporadic at best; Kim, on the other hand, has had a steady and successful career since childhood---which is a huge accomplishment given how some child stars have difficulty adjusting as adults in the entertainment industry. "I'll let the social media have fun with that one"... They will, Kim...they will. I enjoyed the side convo between Khandi and Sheree.

S01.E07: Conspiracy Theories
sereion replied to Tara Ariano's topic in American Crime Story: S01 The People v. O.J Simpson
Ohhh Chris, I wish you'd called Bailey's bluff; you played right into the defense's hands. I didn't think I'd react so strongly to the glove scene, but I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. Maybe because I remember watching most of the actual trial. As soon has he OJ struggled to put the glove on, I knew he was going to be acquitted. Sure enough.... To think, that I actually rooted for the defense back then, now that I'm getting inside story from this show, I sympathize with both Darden and Clark; they may have dropped the ball a few times, but they were up against a group of legal juggernauts who wanted win at any cost. The defense was always two steps ahead of them. And the media scrutiny against them was just awful. Had I known what I do now, I would've definitely give the "Dream Team" the side eye. I will admit, if Johnnie was still around, I would definitely hire him as my attorney--the man was an incredible attorney.
