Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood - General Discussion

Miscombobulated, tho? -
Even when Ralph Angel took Kenya from Blue on his way to class, he didn't berate or humiliate him; he explained his reasoning for taking the doll in a way that assured Blue that Kenya will still be there when he returns from school. In fact, I think Ralph Angel believed that his son would be bullied mercilessly for playing with dolls, and felt that he was protecting him by taking Kenya. I am intrigued by the relationship between Charley and Nova; I sense that Charley was the favorite, which may explain Nova's resentment towards her, add to her being filthy rich with a family, I have to wonder if that something she wanted as well (the family, of course, Nova seems to be content with her career). I felt bad for Charley; she lost her dad, husband is caught up in a scandal, and her siblings nearly shut her out of the arrangments. She couldn't win. I don't condone Nova seeing a married man, I do respect that she is realistic with her with Calvin, and like someone mentioned understand the boundaries of their relationship. I do wonder how the relationship began; did they have history before he got married and reconnected? Did she go into the relationship knowing he was married? Inquring minds want to know. Yaass at Kofi Siriobe in all white; totally complimented that dark chocolate complexion. It can't be said enough, the show is incredible; it's getting a season pass on my DVR.

Oh, can I just say how I love Blue and his little Barbie doll? It is so refreshing to see a young boy play with a doll without the assumption of being effeminate. Love Ralph Angel not shaming for it.

Doug Llewellyn! Talk about a blast from the past! I remember watching him when Judge Wapner was on the bench! So good seeing him again. I couldn't stand Kurt; he could be such a jerk.

The show exceeded my expectations for all the reasons mentioned in this post; the acting, writing, all superb. It was like watching an indy film rather than a TV show--if that makes sense. Ava knocked out of the park as I expected her to. I do have one question: where is the mom? Did she exsist in the novel? Was the father widower or divorced?

Safaree or whatever; I already cannot with him. -
So no one's going to talk about how everyone went all savage on Ann Coulter--even the guest of "honor" got some good digs in. To parapharse Jewel, as some one who DESPISE her, it was delightful.

Wow Brandi; blowing your baby's entire savings on a store that's likely to fail within a year. No words. I can't be mad at Max if he decides to divorce her, because that was incredibly selfish of her. -

Jason Lee *vomit* why is he still on my screen? Go away. -
GO RUPP!!!!!! Congrats to him for winning the bronze another US medal in distance running! Maybe not medaling in the 10,000 was a blessing in disguise. I know Salazar is estastic! Yay for Kipchoge I'm happy to see the Kenyans finally winning an Olympic marathon. Great performance from Ward, too! I really hate that Meb struggled, but I liked how he handle it; especially after that fall toward the finish line. Such a gentleman.

She was the one who comforted Vashti Cummings after she was eliminated. She was so gracious when she hugged Beita.
-
....and that's why I love Lagat. Class act.
-
Yay for the US men for winning the 4x400 gold again!! I'm glad Chelimo got reinstated; I honestly don't think Lagat would've want to earn his medal over a DQ. Besides, he's earned two when he ran for Kenya...it still would've been nice if he earned another one. Chaunte Lowe? Class act. I hate that she lost out on a medal again. Although Jamacia are dominant in the sprints now, it's great to see the growth of US distance running; they really racked up the medals--most of them for the first time in years--if ever! I hope this continues.
-
Yay for the women winning the 4x400! I'm especially thrilled for Allyson; she's had a rough year, not to mention narrowingly losing the 400, so I'm so glad she ended it on a high note with two gold medals. 6 golds and 3 silvers? Pretty darn impressive.
-
Well I'll be; Chelimo got DQ,d that sucks, but yay for Lagat for moving up to the bronze! I felt so bad for Vashti Cunningham; but she's just 18, the Olympic is learning experience for her. By time she's 22, she'll be the one to watch. It was sweet of her teammate to comfort her.
-
OMG Centrowitz! I remembered when he missed the podium four years ago, now he takes home the first gold in that race in over 100 years!! I am so thrilled for him!!! Loved his family's reaction. (On a shallow note, he's a cutie!) Congrats to Caster Semenaya! I am so happy for her.

They lost the appeal. http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/US-Mens-4x100m-Relay-Team-Disqualified-After-Claiming-Bronze-390767131.html

Oh no! I hate Daley didn't make the finals. I was rooting for him, but yay for Boudia for bringing home the bronze!!!!

I will say that Bolt changed the perception of the track and field sprinter; as you mentioned, most of them were extremely arrorgant and unlikeable; especially the US men. In fact, it was nothing for them to engage in some trash talking. Bolt, on the other hand, was cocky, but he is so affable, relaxed and carefree. You could tell he's having fun, and you want to join him. Notice how much sportsmanship and comaradrie improved since he came on the scene. That's why the crowd goes crazy when they see him---is worth millions in endorsement deals. I remember when after Lewis matched Jesse Owens record in LA, I didn't remember him signing any deals/sponsorships after the Olympics.

Given that he's caught twice, Justin should have received a permanent ban from the sport. The first time was he was on meds that contained a banned substance; the second strike? Out for good. He knew better. I was intially rooting for Gay, but now, I have no sympathy for him. He cost himself and his teammates a medal because of his cheating in London. And Rodgers was caught cheating, too? So not only Mitchell had a history of dirty urine in the past, but 3 of the 4 runners did too. They could not find any clean runners?
-
Yay, Gwen!!! First US gold in the Triathalon! This is HUGE for USAT! Way to go!
-
I'm having difficulty posting photos, but Sprinter Tori Bowie should pursue a modeling career; she is stunning. Flawless skin, long legs...get her a contract, stat! Elaine Thompson is goregous, too.
-
Although I want Boudia to win, I do have a soft spot for Tom Daly, and would be just as thrilled if he gets the gold. Plus, he is super hot...goodness.

Question: Just how long has Mitchell coached the relay team; I read that he's been coaching since 2014, if that's true, how does that explain the other disastrous performances over the years--specifically in Bejing? Not to mention that Mitchell was caught doping back in the day. If USATF want to regain their dominance in the sprints, they seriously need to clean house.
-
Seriously, someone needs to fire the coach responsible for this US mens team. Between dropped batons and DQ's, 16+ years and they still can't get it together. SMDH.
