  1. Thanks @Scarlett45 for inviting me to this fourm! I've never read the books, but I'm seen the movies, inclulding the orginal Flowers in the Attic with Louise Fletcher as Olivia. I saw the prequel, and man...so much to unpack. I do hope we see more films, I would love for them to explore more of Joel and Harry and Nella and her family--even Corrine and Christopher.
  2. OMG No, I didn't!!! Thanks for sharing and the invite! I will definitely check it out!
  3. The scene with she and Hailey, allow me to see it from her perspective; to her it wasn't about the money. The Pynk is her life; it is all she knows--without it, she's lost. Besides, Uncle Clifford is horrible with money, that 5 million will go faster than Usian Bolt's 100m world record time. Do I agree that she should have blocked Hailey access to her accounts.
  4. I think we were all saying it, but unfortuntely, he's still on my screen...ugh. I saw the look of guilt on her stepsister's face, I think she was coerced by her stepmother. ..and she attacked a cop; given that cops are trigger happy towards black and brown people, she's lucky she got locked up. Just like the Flowers in the Attic Prequel I saw recently on Lifetime; the long suffering wife severely injures her husband and incapacitates him, he was totally dependent on her, and she made him miserable. That's what I want. Exactly, Handing her over to Terrica was a good gesture, but now that Patrice has two streams of income, there is no reason why she can't run Mercedes her coins--that is the least she could do. Mercedes should use that a leverage to get what she wants from Patrice.
  5. I DESPISE Derek and that wicked stepmother; I want nothing but the worst for them. Good for Keyshawn for kicking his @$$; that was a long time coming, I just hate that she got locked up, and not Diamond can't come to save her, I have a feeling Derek will bail her out, she'll end up right back with him. I hope I'm wrong. Speaking of Diamond....ya'll called it. Big Bone down with Montavious's crew. I knew she's nothing but trouble. I don't know if he'll be back for Season 3. I hope he shifts the blame on Derek. So Hailey got played twice over. I can't say that she didn't deserve it--she overplayed her hand with Gerogie and lost out on $5 million dollars; additionally, she betrayed both Uncle Clifford and Mercedes after they saved her from Montavious. Loved the read Uncle Cliffor gave her, I just hate she emptied Clifford's account. I don't really don't care if she comes back for Season 3--well, at least the Pynk has been saved once again. Is Andre really going to stay with Brittney, after he admitted that he's unhappy with Brittney? He's was right; she didn't love the "real" Andre; the marriage was about status for her. I'm disappointed--yet not surprised that Patrice won, but I am here for the inevitable clash between she and Kyle. I still hate her for stealing money from Mercedes, but I think allowing Terrica to stay with Mercedes was her way of apologizing for being a trash mom. Speaking of Mercedes... I am so happy the finally got a win after two sesaons taking the L's. She got her mojo back from the pole; got a huge payday from the photos--which helped her fullfil her dreams of owning her gym; she got her daugther back, and finally, she could retire. I hope she moves forward. I love Uncle Clifford and Lil Murda together; the fact that she was willing to let Lil Murda go and pursure his dreams, and Lil Murda passing on the tour shows their true love.... and Lil Murda just lowkey confess to Mane that he popped Pico?? Dude is bold. Did Corbin said that he the liqour made him feel little C U Next Tuesday -ish. That said him selling his land for the casino and deny Hailey her payday a HUGE power move; well played, Corbin...well played. Yaaayyy!! Grandmuva Ernestine made it through!!
  6. ROFL!!! But am I wrong tho? LOLOLOL!!!
  7. Not Andre's wife making a surprise visit; now that he has a shot of winning the mayoral race, she wants to play politician's wife. I hope he doesn't take her back. I know most folks aren't feeling Andre and Hailey/Autumn, but I do find them intriguing; they have amazing chemistry on screen, and I do want to see them together--that may happen now that she could be pregnant. I have a love/hate thing with Roulette; I love her bad@$$ ways, but she’s nothing but trouble, plus she is sooo disrespectful to Mercedes. And pimp out Toi…trouble. The photos of Mercedes were sooo stunning, I loved how it was viewed as empowering, and patrons saw her as more than a stripper. Heck, I think it Mercedes felt empowered—that was right on time after the confrontation she had at the Pynk. I hope it inspires her to seek something bigger as Uncle Clifford suggested…… I’m glad she shot Faith down and set her boundaries, and kudos to Faith for respecting it. I think they’ll end up good friends. On a shallow note, I am sooo mad they had Faith looking like someone’s Auntie at a church cookout. Did the wardrobe crew borrow one of Tyler Perry’s bad wigs? I mean seriously. $h!+ is about to hit the fan after Big Bone saw Keyshawn kissing Diamond. She’s another one who’s up to no good. I am hoping for Keyshawn’s clean break from Derek. I realized the Pico’s demise was addressed on the last episode, but since it’s an ongoing storyline: Why did he think it was a flex to lie about popping Big Teak?? Why would anyone think it was cool to claim such a thing—and on video at that. It was mad disrespectful. I think Corbin and Uncle Clifford may have hooked up at some point during their friendship. Corbin is giving me closeted vibe. I hope Ernestine pulls through, too. I love seeing Miss Devine on my screen
  8. Absolutely to both!!! I never heard of him was before his role as Big Teak, now I am officially a fan. Now, I want to check out his previous roles. This is definitely his breakthrough role, and I hope gets more work after this. Katori never misses--she is a masterful storyteller. An Emmy would be a great and deserving addition to the Pulitzer she won a few years ago.
  9. Whew, this was tough to watch. I sense something was amiss with Big Teak, because he was very calm, peaceful--and even joyful throughout most of the episode and him letting Lil Murda go was writing on the wall. Despite Lil Murda's coaxing, his family trauma--which was horrific, years in solitary confinement and the inability to adjust to life outside of prison ;eft him broken to the point where he felt he was beyond repair. Now, I am worried for Lil Murda; I hope Uncle Clifford-- or someone can help him through this. Lil Murda admitting to Uncle Clifford that he was not okay is the most powerful scene in the entire episode. Men, specifically black men, internalize their problems and they are afraid to show their vulnerability for fear of being perceived as "soft", and that scene does a masterful job of relaying the message that is it's okay not to be okay. I love how this show allows men to be unapologetic with their vulnerability. I was cheering for Keyshawn when was making her escape, only for my hopes to deflate when that POS disabled the car. I hope he doesn't find that gun she hid in that pillow. I find it interesting that Coach was in his feelings because Mercedes and Faith got hot and heavy during the threesome--when it was HIS idea in the first place. What did he expect to happen? He was neglectful and dismissive towards Faith, and she got her needs met with Mercedes. He should've kept it between the two of them. I am mad at Faith for not insisting that Coach pay Mercedes--at least give her partial compensation as the job was not completed. Shelle had some calling nerve her an unfit parent when she's in no position to care for Terrika herself--who ended up like pregnant the same age as Mercedes. Corbin gets on my nerves. I don't recall him having this energy last season when his half brothers were disrespecting him. And why was Andre acting all brand new with Hailey at the event?
  10. Did anyone notice how one of Keyshawn's stepsister cringed when her father kissed her?
  11. Fun fact: Tyler Lepley who plays Diamond, and Blue Kimball who played Rome, are both "alumni" of Tyler Perry's. Tyler played Benny in the "Haves and Have Nots", and Blue was on "Ruthless"
  12. That part. I would not be surprised it this end up happening. I hope it's doesn't, though.
  13. I loved that Mississippi's backstory was Southern Gothic version of Cinderella; sadly, her story doesn't end happily ever after. She is still a victim of abuse and exploitation. I am so worried for her; I hope she finally finds the strength to leave--or at least call Woddy to "handle" Derek the way did Rome. She has so much potential, and I want to see her win. Speaking of Woddy, I love he is protective over her and Lil Murda. Derek is trash, but growing up in an abusive environment, in addition to the bitterness and anger of being disowned by his family, explains his rage. Tragically, he continues the violent cycle with Keyshawn and his children. .Big Teak is intriguing; I hope we get a backstory from his and his relationship with Lil Murda, and I want a love triangle between, him Murda and Uncle Clifford
  14. I agree that this episode was underwhelming; while I felt bad for Tiffany, I think this should have been a separate episode to fully address her post partum. I just wanted more focus on Molly and Issa repairing their friendship. I visit other forums, and they called it on Condola's pregnancy...and this is why I did not want Lawrence and Issa back together; she got her hopes up--only for them to be dashed. In fact, I agree with that Lawrence should be written off the show The ship has finally sailed between the two, and it's time for Issa to move forward. Keep him in San Fran I knew Andrew would get tired of Molly--and I don't feel bad for her at all. I mean, Karma. More Kelly, please.
  15. I was hoping Issa wouldn't extend the olive branch to Molly, because I knew it would end badly. I have been rooting for Molly since the beginning, but now I've washed my hands with her. Therapy was a waste of time; she still lacks the insight on how she treats people, and she is unwilling accept responsibility for what happened at the block party--and had the nerve of her to cut Issa off, and expect her to grovel--Girl, bye! Issa is better off without her; it was on the verge of toxicity. Andrew has the patience of Job, but that's wearing thin; I think their break-up is inevitable, and it will be Molly's epiphany. Unfortunately, it may be too late to repair the relationships she ruined, and she will end up alone and bitter. I was disappointed to find that the opening scene with Issa and Lawrence was real; I reeaally do NOT want them together, but I can't deny their chemistry. I do like them as friends. Finally, I am glad that Nathan confided in Issa of his bipolar diagnosis, but bruh, you could have kept the sista in the loop. He got Issa all f'd up when he ghosted her last season, and who's to say he'll do it again when he has a manic episode? Now I do, however, like their chemistry as well.
  16. Ya'll, confess that I am officially a fan of the show; since I'm now working from home, and can't go to gym to unwind, she has been my go-to source for after work entertainment. I can overlook the awful fashion choices and her extreme enthusiasm, which I find endearing. As a fellow southerner, I am here for the "ya'll's"-- use it all the time, too. I just hope she doesn't change and become a diva like Ellen is rumored to be. ...and congrats to her for the Daytime Emmy nominations!! It's well deserved!
  17. I think she's a troll trying to gain some social media clout like that 'cash me outside' fool. I don't think she believes the idiotic crap coming out of mouth.
  18. Whew, chile. That show was a bowl full of crazy--animal abuse, polygamy, hitmen, drug dealers all in seven hours. They were all trash people, but Carole was the worst; at least Joe, Doc and even Jeff were transparent with their crazy. Carole, however, was a wolf in sheep's clothing. There is no way that I'm convinced that she was not involved in her husband's disappearance. I felt bad for bad for the employees who worked long hours for very little pay, spoiled meat and cockroach sandwiches. Granted, they were complicit, but in both Joe's case, he was their saviour; he offered them jobs and housing, so I understand their loyalty to him. What baffles me is Joe's romantic involvement with Travis and John knowing both were straight men; why did they agree to become marry him? For housing? Meth? Desperate for employment? Perhaps, they're bi but in denial? I don't get it. Of course, those poor tigers; people have no business owning them as pets. They belong in the wild--not in a cage or someone's family room. I refuse to visit a private zoo after watching this $h!+ show.
  19. I co-signing with most of the comments; I love me some Kelly Clarkson, but she is doing the most on her show. It's just her first season, she'll either tone it down a bit, or the audience will get use to her hyper enthusiasm. I do like how she opens the show with a song; it adds a unique touch.
  20. THAT PART. Given Kenya's history of inserting herself in other folks' relationships--most recently Tanya's, I'd say Nene gave her a taste of her own medicine. I don't feel bad for her at all.
  21. Pearl's beatdown story confirmed. This guy on YouTube reached out to the lady who shared the story, and she granted him an interview. She also revealed the identity of the women who gave her the beatdown; I read the comments, and there is talk of rewarding them by adding money to their books, lol.
  22. Ahhh...sweet karmic justice. This could not happen to a more deserving person.
  23. Right. That was not the time to act petty; I'm glad the ladies invited them to their table--and Marc shutting her down once again. ...and this is why I don't feel sorry for Kenya. She is not in a position to shade Tanya and Paul's relationship, when her "full on" husband finds her repulsive. That said, Marc is trash, period. I cannot see myself eating in his resturants; I bet he's trash to his employees, too.
  24. Absolutely. The most painful part of the series was his Mother's Day gift to his mom; despite the horrific abuse he endured, he still loved her unconditionally. DCFS failed Gabriel miserably; I did not have one once of sympathy for the workers involved as they egregiously dropped the ball on his case. Worst of all, this could have been avoided had he remained with his uncle and grandparents who provided him a loving home. The blood is on their hands. I take comfort in knowing that their fellow cellmates are coming for the necks. They DO NOT tolerate harming children; especially since some of them are parents themselves. If the mom isn't placed in solitary by now, she's going to wish that she was.
