  1. The decorating was just as bad. I don't care about how Gio's family did it. "The big return wasn't without its hiccups." At first I thought Martin was referring Sam's death, and I thought, That's a rather flip way to discuss it, and he actually meant Cyrus at the facility. Sonny, if Kristina wanting revenge on Ava isn't honoring the baby, neither is you doing something. Laura, you can blame your friend Anna for Valentin skipping town with Charlotte. I can't believe what babies RH and JJ were when they were first on the show together.
  2. I know you wrote this as a joke, @ulkis, but I don't mind this idea. I think WR is a good actor—it's not his fault he got stuck with a role that had such ridiculous changes—and he'd give Michael edge that is desperately needed. My only quibble would be that there still isn't enough time between now and when Petah was finally killed. It's nearly three years, but he was so polarizing that more time is needed. Yikes, I preposterously forgot about that. It would make things interesting!
  3. One of those fan's name rhymes with Jingo Thrademacher, I heard.
  4. I know! It's not as if Trina couldn't have tacked on some talk afterward.
  5. What do you mean, "almost nothing"? Carly is a Spencer. Isn't that all the family needs? /s It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone (except TJ, because he's a selfish clod) that right now, Molly doesn't want children. She's lost two of them in about a year. Annoyingly, though, she probably will change her mind, since on GH a woman is worthless if she doesn't have children.
  6. What's also stupid is that Trina expects Kai to understand how important that class is to her without giving him the same respect for his football. Even if she knows nothing about college sports, she has to have some inkling of what being QB1 means in a football powerhouse like PCU (heh). Like hypocritical mother, like hypocritical daughter. This is a fair point, but I also sort of get why she hasn't (or at least, we haven't heard that she has). Kristina is a complete emotional mess, and it's probably better for Danny and Scout not to be exposed that. If I were Dante, I'm not sure I'd want Kristina around the kids for the time being.
  7. The whole thing is so stupid. Ava has done terrible things, but she's not going to deliberately injure a pregnant woman. She had her own experience with Nina. I wish Ric had brought that up so Ava could emphasize her horror at allegedly hurting Kristina.
  8. I don't like the misogyny of women being unable to handle their feelings—or other people unable to handle their feelings—so they're institutionalized, but if Sonny wants to send Kristina to the island for a decade or two, I can support that.
  9. Oh, god, we're back to Lois and her accent? I CANNOT. And Noted Bigot and Perjurer Natalia. It is for Molly. People grieve differently, and there's no right way to do it. As Molly said, just because she doesn't throw herself on the baby's grave every day and sob uncontrollably doesn't mean she's not grieving.
  10. I'm sure that this time, Carly will come through.
  11. Good for her for getting those national residuals!
  12. Jordan asked TJ about it. He just shrugged it off. Couples counseling would mean TJ has to admit he's been a complete jackass during the whole surrogacy process, and he'd never do that. It's all Molly and Kristina's fault—mostly the latter—for what's happened to him. I was being sarcastic, @Bringonthedrama, because Curtis and TJ called each other Nephew and Uncle to a degree I found completely comical. Sorry to make you rehash their dumb history.
  13. No matter how hard they try to redeem her, she'll always be Noted Bigot Natalia to me. And Ava is STILL the villain in this for recording Noted Bigot Natalia being a Noted Bigot. It's as aggravating as Nina continuing to be blamed for Drew going to prison for insider trading.
  14. "Molly isn't grieving!" No, TJ, she's not grieving the way you find acceptable. At least Molly knows that's one of his problems, not that it's helping right now. What is the relationship between TJ and Curtis? I'm unclear on that. Of course Jason has no compunction running off to get someone else's child while leaving his own grieving son behind. Way to break a promise you barely had time to keep, you jerk. LOL (and RME) that Dante thinks Sonny is the king of blended families. The man who's been in multiple custody battles with practically every mother of his children? Noted Bigot Natalia thinks committing perjury is going to put her on the way to being a better person? I really hope the perjury is discovered and she's tossed into Supermax and we never see her again. Brennan's assistant's French accent is worse that Tony Geary's Dutch accent, and that was terrible. I'm kind of surprised the verdict in Ava's trial isn't the Friday cliffhanger. ETA: Over/under on when Carly storms into Brennan's office braying about betraaaaaaaaayal?
  15. I'm surprised she didn't call Jason to help her open a new jar of pickles.
  16. Ugh, that's just as bad as Gio being Dante's son, IMO. It's okay to have people completely unrelated to one another, Show. Why can't you understand that? I'd call it more of a glow-down, heh. If only "play[ing] against harder material" wasn't always tears/crying/wobbly voice. FH doesn't have anything to prove, so why is she turning Anna into a soggy dishrag? The writing certainly isn't helping, but how she interprets it is on her.
  17. Curtis should be whining to Portia about his work problems, not Jordan. Though I loved how he said "Fuck it" and told Jordan about Drew being involved with both Willow and Nina. I cannot listen to Anna yet again bemoaning Valentin and Charlotte. Too little, too late, lady. Suck it up and accept the consequences of your actions. The retcon of BLQ, Cody, and Dante being at camp together is okay—it makes sense that BLQ and Cody would know each other, especially since he knows Olivia well enough to call her "Mama Q"—and I'm okay with her having a crush on Dante. But it should have stayed a crush, not result in the golden retriever puppy that is Gio. I liked the Alexis/Molly scenes a lot. Finally Molly gets to talk to someone who just listens. So stupid. She's going to try Wyndemere? As if no one else had thought of that. Good lord.
  18. Ever since the baby rabies started, TJ has been written as a supremely selfish jerk, and I have no idea why. This story has been terrible soap on so many levels, and it's taken down too many characters with it. They can't end this soon enough for me, and it'll be just my (bad) luck this is the story where they decide to drag out the followthrough.
  19. I will not miss CD's smug smirk in the opening credits. Ugh, Noted Bigot Natalia and Sonny need to be off my screen yesterday. She needs to STFU and he needs to be arrested and convicted for Jagger's murder. FFS, Jason, give your grieving son a hug. He needs that much more than a gentle hand on his shoulder. I did love him telling Carly she'll never find out why he clocked Drew. Poor Lucky, having to fill in Lulu about what's been going on. I'm glad they wrote it so that both were measured in their emotions. That was good soap. (It cracked me up when Lulu said, "What now?" when Lucky hesitated after she said she needed to thank Sam.)
  20. Like geez, if you need Laura offscreen, send her to the PCPD or something to oversee the search. Why do they need her offscreen in the first place? Just do the usual wacky time shenanigans where it's day in one part of town and night in the other. I don't think Mark Teschner (the casting director) has much say when Frank brings in his favorites.
  21. Was Drew really using a SUP on the Q lake? And he's one to talk about Jason not being around for Danny. Like he's been hands-on with Scout for her entire life. Of course TJ doesn't think Kristina going out the window was an accident. I can't feel sorry for TJ because he's making it all about him. It's about time he and Molly broke up. It's no fun to watch him berate Molly for not agreeing with his every thought and deed. And for him to talk about wanting another child so soon really shows how self-absorbed he is. They are hellbent on making him the worst. Thank Jasus they didn't drag out Lulu and Dante seeing each other. I agree. It was good to see her in a place she absolutely should have been, instead of shoved into scenes where she wasn't necessary. Alexis, Kristina is relaxed about her testimony because Sonny basically said he'd get rid of Ava if she was found not guilty.
  22. The writing on the show is so bad I think pretty much every character can lift right out. IR thinking he was singled out somehow is his pride talking.
  23. I wonder if that's why we haven't seen Lucy in a while (not that the character has been needed). Poor LH.
  24. @jsbt, I agree that Lucky's situation is more complicated than my post, and I was trying to keep it simple. I also agree with your larger point that he runs away when things in Port Charles get too much for him. The bit I quoted above to me also shows that being able to help strangers soothes his ego, that he's not as bad a person as he fears he might be because he runs away. Sometimes it's easier to help people you don't know, because they don't have more expectations of you outside of needing that particular assistance. It can be a lot less messy to swoop in, solve an immediate problem, and move on.
  25. His ego couldn't take not being Lulu's hero, and that's why he was all ready to leave. I'm not sure wanting to be Elizabeth's hero means he's yearning for her. A lot of it is about trying to redeem himself for himself.
