  1. I laughed that Drew thought he'd be welcome at the hospital, seeing as how everyone but Willow hates him right now. And then he adds to the tone-deafness by deciding it was the time to berate Carly's parenting. He's one to talk. He's been a very absent father to Scout for most of her life. He willingly put Carly's kids above her when he went to prison. I hope Scout rakes Drew over the coals for that when she's older.
  2. I don't care if Joss is in harm's way, because she's awful and needs to be taken down a peg or fifty, but it's ridiculous that Girl Detective is the one who's figuring things out. Great that he's doing so well. Does he still go commando?
  3. I had to laugh at this. Carly is probably thinking there was no way to predict Sonny's fireplace would explode (or however the fire started) and Michael would be burned. I also laughed when Sonny solemnly said, "That was meant for me." Yeah, no shit, Sherlock.
  4. I amused myself by thinking that the nurse is masked and gowned because it's actually Katelyn MacMullen, not some random day player, as an easy way to meet her minimum. Hee. Okay, Girl Detective. You find out what the PCPD can't. I guess Chase does have his hands full at the moment, and Dante still isn't back in PC. Same. Drew was right when he said Willow wasn't dealing with Michael anymore. Carly is not going to go quietly into the night, and Sonny will back her. LOL at Cyrus using his mouth to take off the needle cap.
  5. The non-Carly is always the guilty party, no matter what.
  6. I had to laugh when Drew was bleating to Carly that he went to jail for her and almost died. No one asked you to, pal. That was all on you. That he expects Carly to show him some human kindness is ridiculous. Have you learned nothing from being with her and then seeing her work from afar? Carly is out for herself and the five other people she cares about. You are not one of those people, Drew. You never were—you were a placeholder until Jason returned. He realized that when he preemptively broke up with Carly, but he seems to have forgotten it today. What a dolt. No sympathy for him and his galactically stupid decisions.
  7. When Michael and the other kids were still living at home, whatever collateral damage they were because of Sonny's business was definitely Carly's fault. But now that Joss and Michael are adults (supposedly™ Silas Clay forever), it's on them. They know the risks at this point. Sonny has been and always will be a target, but his kids hang with him anyway. That's on them. I know it's a bit more layered that this, but the point is, they have free will here and exercise it. Sucks when their desire to be with their dad and his bidness overlap. There was a woman there with him. I think that might have been the social worker. I guess Chase was there as back-up to make sure they complied with the court order. That's what I was thinking as well, that Chase was there to make sure they complied with the (completely ridiculous) court order. You know Nina isn't going to calmly let the kids leave.
  8. Even if the show hadn't been signaling the reveal for months, it would still be boring. It came out of nowhere—it's just to give Gio a more solid foundation. But he's boring, so who cares what his backstory is? Certainly I don't. I fervently hope that Ava uses the fire at Sonny's penthouse against him in the custody fight for Avery. (From the previews, it looks like she does. Go, Ava!) It's not about Diane. it's about Carly and her kids never losing. Diane is just the current instrument to making that happen. I'm genuinely surprised that Jason talked to Anna and Chase without Diane there. He always has a lawyer with him when he officially talks to the police, no matter the context. He's getting soft because of his feelings for Anna! Drew and Willow in D.C. while Michael was on fire are two completely separate incidents. Why everyone on the show is acting as if they aren't is beyond me. It's not as if Drew and Willow lit the match and then scampered off to fuck. "Michael gave you those kids!" What a gross thing to say. Joss is really on her moral high horse. She seems to forget that Michael wasn't exactly Mr. Innocent while Willow was married to Chase. Or even the reason she married him in the first place. Shut up, Joss.
  9. Here's an American guide to Robbie Williams. There may be a paywall.
  10. Of course her underwear is white. She's no harlot in red or black lingerie! "I'm just thinking about what comes next." "You mean when we get back to Port Charles?" Drew, you're a congressman. Your job right now is in D.C. He should be a NYS rep if the show wants him in PC all the time. If he were my congressperson and spent all of his time banging his nephew's wife and doing no legislative work, I'd want a recall election, stat. Also, Willow, you are acting on your feelings for Drew by sleeping with him. WTF? Uh-oh. Jason's gonna be mad when he hears he's not the strongest, steadiest person Carly knows, Joss is. LOL. Those salads Carly and Jack had looked really good. "Somebody tried to take you out, and Michael paid the price!" Carly, you forgot to say "Again!" Remember when he was shot because someone was aiming for Kate, who was with Sonny in the warehouse?
  11. This is what perplexes me. Eva LaRue is not some unknown who caught on with the fans, causing the show to frantically backpedal. She's an established soap actor. Why did they come in so hot and ugly with her character? This fakakta show, man. Not that it matters, but
  12. My DVR calls him "author Graham Norton," so maybe it's his latest book, Frankie? It was published last fall but is now out in paperback.
  13. Brad has always owned (albeit after the fact) that he has atrocious judgement, but he means it and he's paid the price. That's one of the things I really like about him. He'll make excuses in the moment, but when he knows he's done wrong, he admits it.
  14. I think it's fine there's some corruption within the WSB, but as usual, it's been handled so ineptly that today's version is impossible to figure out. If Terrible French Accent Agent wasn't supposed to be a sniper, why didn't Jack fire her on the spot? The character is less than tertiary, so it's not as if anyone would care if she were gone/replaced. And I fear that @jsbt is right and we're stuck with Sidwell long after this dumb diamond story is over. I'm sure some heretofore-unknown relative is already in Port Charles. UGH.
  15. As stupidly as CD's departure is being handled, I give the show props for hedging its bets by putting Michael in a fire. If CD returns, we saw his Michael pre-burn. If they recast, Michael is injured enough that a new face is soap-logical.
  16. I like that she knew it too. I also liked that she shut down his "The mission approved my working here" with her own "I'll call the mission and fix that." She acted logically for a change. I loved that too. When he's allowed, Jason can be pretty funny. For me the character has been badly written since they shoehorned him in to placehold for SBu's eventual return. I think BM's version got marginally better writing and plots, but it was a thankless role then and still is now. CM's Drew is getting dreadful writing and dreadful plots, and his acting choices aren't helping either. Same, but I wish Lucy weren't written as such a ditz. She's always been flighty, but she's rarely been abjectly stupid. Her total ignorance of Sidwell strikes me as OOC—if she can do enough research to fill a gift basket appropriately, she should have at least some idea that he's not totally on the up and up. But we have to have at least one innocent to his evilness, I guess. Michael always gets a nice edit. He's a Carly, so he never loses. Even as a comatose piece of burnt toast he'll win. It took CD leaving, but at least someone is showing reasonable injuries from being burned. Spencer and Ava had scratches on their cheeks.
  17. You missed nothing, but Jenz knows all! ETA: I'm not surprised Michael is being painted as the saint. It gives everyone even more reason to berate Willow, and it will pile on the guilt for her. Even if CD were staying, I can't imagine Michael wouldn't get the hero edit. He never loses. I crack up every time Willow worries that the "scandal" will cause Drew to lose his seat.
  18. Michael, you did nothing to try to save your marriage! Unless sleeping with and impregnating Sasha is your idea of saving a marriage. If that's the case, okay, you tried. Color me surprised that Michael realizes a facet of Willow's psychology—being whatever someone wants her to be—is due to her being in a cult. And color me more surprised that Sonny was actually kind of sympathetic to that. Carly would never show an ounce of empathy. Sonny, are you going to feel ashamed when you tell Avery how you constantly belittled her mother and sued for custody more than once? Of course Sidwell is the new owner of Wyndemere. SWSNBN had her snow globes, Dex had his heirloom tomatoes. He did hold them for Holly for a bit and was going to facilitate fencing them for her, so he's not entirely clean here. LOL at Jack not being able to open a file. I can so relate to that. WOW, Carly was being peak Carly today. Though I thought LW was very funny when Carly angrily asked Jason if he was going to follow her to make sure she didn't go to D.C. to drag Willow out of Drew's bed and Jason mildly replied, "No, I'm going to see Sonny," and she says, "Oh." I'm pretty sure it won't be someone we want to get shot.
  19. Carly would rail no matter what.
  20. That's all true, @YaddaYadda. But even if Willow does want the divorce, why not try to work out custody issues with Michael first? That's what's so stupid about them not talking. Neither thinks the other is a bad parent (for now), but already Michael wants to use Willow taking Wiley to D.C. without his permission against her. I don't want to watch yet another custody battle. I'm as tired of them as I am of pregnancies on this fakakta show.
  21. It's so stupid they haven't even tried to talk about it. Nina was the one who put the divorce wheels in motion, but Willow certainly could have said that she wanted to talk to Michael first. But instead she let Nina scare her into thinking she'd lose access to the kids. If that isn't a reason to talk to Michael first, I don't know what is. But Willow has been astoundingly dumb ever since she became enthralled by Drewfus. I wouldn't put it past Carly to try for custody, and given that she never loses.... "And mine wasn't so great either!"
  22. That situation always fascinates me. Is it timing? Different tastes? National chauvinism? Probably a combination of things. Williams's performance was fantastically entertaining. He can sing, so the surrounding showmanship doesn't feel like it's trying to distract from that.
  23. We've discussed forever how moving Sonny out of the mob opens up a lot of story possibilities for the character, so of course they'll have him decide that since no one can replace him, he's going to stay in the bidness forever. And she handcuffed him to a chair. Just to tell him to back off her granddaughter, when he did absolutely nothing untoward. Good lord. I did appreciate that they had him tell Anna that next time she tried anything like that she'd regret it. I hope he follows through. I'm still hoping for a tock, Sasha's trauma porn be damned. There is no excuse for another unnecessary kid. I'm waiting for Willow to announce she's pregnant via Drew. You know the show won't be able to resist. That's the MO for just about any medical story the show does. Sonny still drinks even though he's on bipolar meds. We were teased that Carly would stroke out at any second while she was pregnant with Donna and that, sadly, went nowhere. She wasn't even woozy once. These are cheap plot points that get made and then forgotten/ignored.
  24. I guess all of Michael's posturing about not wanting to use his kids as pawns the way he was as a child was just that—posturing. It was stupid of Willow to take Wiley to DC, but that doesn't make her a terrible mother. Like a broken record, I write again: If Michael and Willow just sat down and talked, they could probably work out a custody arrangement without lawyers getting involved and escalating the whole thing. But of course that's too reasonable. Luke pretty much stayed out of his kids' lives unless they asked him for advice or help. (The complete opposite of his niece, Carly.) He had a very laissez-faire attitude toward them.
  25. Nina wants it both ways here: persuading Willow that Drew is scum without having to tell her that Drew also slept with Nina. Good luck with that, Nina! I did laugh when Curtis was on his high horse about Drew sleeping with a married woman. Your romantic past isn't exactly pristine, pal. She did. I wonder doing what. Both Bobbie's and the MetroCourt restaurant, are connected to Michael (and by extension, his nightmare mother), and the Grill, or whatever that other restaurant is called, doesn't seem to be a set we see regularly. So if she doesn't cook, what is there? Back to Deception with a new line for pregnant people? When I was waiting for my flight home last week, there was a little boy (around 4, I'd guess) constantly asking his "Dada" questions. The man had the patience of a saint.
