Naw, no judgement intended. I had a feeling you were being ironic or sardonic or some other -IC word…..with these people it’s like having Pinocchio tell you he always tells lies. What?! G&G and their crew should have been involved in the disinformation game in WW2. Reminds me of a book I read years ago about Operation Mincemeat. So much misdirection.

She was Saul’s hooker who took the Nutrigrain bar as she walked out the door. Sheesh, some people!

At the risk of confirming my mush-headedness, what are these TITLE CARDS that are being alluded to? Are these the things like the phone ‘booth,’ the beach scene, the caddy, etc., that accompany the opening credits? If so, I never noticed that there was only one per episode. Furthering the confusion, based on my perhaps faulty assumption, are you all theorizing that due to 3 additional episodes, the show makers will need to create 3 new title cards to keep up the symmetry?
-
I had feeling, when I first saw the title, that we were NOT gonna get anything lighthearted….these people seem to mislead at every turn. I think they know we will try to decipher what will happen based on ANY clue. There were moments, however. The shower comb-over was too funny.

I don’t mean to ring everybody down, but I have a confession and I don’t know where else to turn. I heard from some relatives that a certain show was “great, amazing, awesome!” so my wife and I watched several episodes. Yes, we watched a few episodes of TERMINAL LIST. My question is: should we drink poison, jump off tall buildings, stab ourselves in the ears and eyes with ice picks, or take an ice flow out to sea for a slow and painful demise? I feel as if we have absorbed all the worst elements of 80’s and 90’s action movies, all the cliches, all the fan-boy first person shooter vid game drama, all the dregs of a John Woo production mated to John Wick stapled to Michael Bay’s worst Penthouse forum love talk combined with the spellbinding dialogue of the Star Wars prequels. I feel unclean. I know my IQ has been lowered. As well as my self esteem. please tell me there is hope…

Jimmy: You’re searching for perfection…..and perfection is the enemy of perfectly adequate. ————— Kim: She worked at the DMV. Jimmy: That’s like the fifth circle of hell.

EPS 4 and 5…jumped the shark. had 2 “friends” tell me the series was great. EPS 1, 2, and 3? eh. Typical teenage shoot ‘‘em up wanna be seal crap. about as real to military/seal world as hallmark is to relationships. but 4 and especially 5 really dug deep into the manure pile. Every cliche from every action movie was touched upon. Keep expecting to hear “it’s just a flesh wound” next episode.

A while back it was noted, again, by an "authority," that Mike would have to go somewhere "dark." I don't think dealing with Howard's body is that darkness. I fear it will entail Mike being ordered to be certain of Kim's silence.

My mental thesaurus seems to be limited to words with 4 letters…but the thought struck me that……dammit, what was the word? Yes, FORESHADOWING! so I’m watching MABEL and it dawned on me that Chuck foreshadowed , if that is the proper term, the burning down of his house. This was done with his little recollection of Jimmy’s little knock-off Daffy Ducky night light. So an advanced person, at least chronologically, I get real proud of myself when I notice these things. It usually takes more than one viewing, and many times days, weeks, even years for the nugget to pop in my brain. There are whole YouTube vids with Easter eggs. They usually repeat the same ones. Lots of copy and paste action going on. What are some of your favorite examples? Of foreshadowing or whatever the term is.? Some really stealthy ones that slide under the radar. I mentioned somewhere else the Mike quote repeated by Jimmy thing in the recent teaser. The one where Jimmy was looking for guidance on the stress over the bail money camping trip for Lalo thing.

Did anybody notice Saul/Jimmy paraphrasing Mike in the latest teaser? Or is it so obvious and I need more medication?

Were there TWO fires at LPH? I thought just the one by Nacho and Gus.

So in 5 eps we’ve got to have Jesse, Walt, Jesse AND Walt, Marion, Gene, Jimmy, Kim, Howard’s wife…who am I missing? All with fairly significant screen time. Obviously, geez, Saul too. And maybe more Gus and Mike. Maybe Tuco, Dr. Caldera, Cliff, Wendy has to factor in. Hector, the twins? (please no more Kaylee and the DIL of Mike—for me the 2 weakest characters/sections of the BB/BCS universe. Fran pouring a cup of coffee has more meaning, nuance, and depth of feeling than anything in that KAY-DIL cringe fest.) Jimmy, Kim, Gene, and Saul, all should get the majority of the attention. Gonna be a snugly packed quintet. wow that sounds perverted

Perhaps I’m oversimplifying things, but it seems that if Kim defends Jimmy, the listener is doomed. Chuck re: 1216 vs 1261 Rosella scheme Howard re: the will and 5000 bucks (and a litany of other things) Lalo re: get your “stuff” in order not many people left for her to tell off, but if I lived in Albuquerque, I’d not get in a conversation with her.

Yes, I had it on “good authority” that Howard’s wife would be in Ep 8. So it would appear that some of these sources are either flat wrong or intentionally yanking chains.

I had spoliation in college. Antibiotic cream cleared it right up.

Yes. This is on point. Everybody reacts differently to serious stress. P.S. MY NECK HURTS

The anticipation is not unlike the mania surrounding the "Who shot JR?" phenomenon over 40 years ago. At least to my recollection. I did not watch that show. But one could not escape the tabloids at the supermarket checkouts and the few cheesy promos for programs similar to Entertainment Tonight. Upon a rewatch of BCS S 1&2, I noticed the impact Marco's death had on Jimmy's resolution to drift toward a Saul-like path. I did not pick up on that before. I have yet to find a similar jolt to Kim's deviation from the straight and narrow. I'm sure it is there, somewhere. Anyhow, I hope we have a real good worth-the-wait experience this evening.

You heard it here first: scene 1-Jesse is defended by Kim because he fired up a fattie, in the hospital, for his Aunt Ginny while she was recovering from chemo. scene 2-Walt is defended by Saul for public masturbation, in a Starbucks, while looking at a photo of (principal) Carmen in the high school yearbook. I can’t tell you about scene 3 because I signed an NDA. But it involves a tarantula, a box of Raisin Bran Crunch, a bottle of club soda, and a Queen Elizabeth collar usually found on dogs after abdominal surgery. Oh, and a plunger. —————————- Speaking of club soda, I can just see Abuelita sprinting into Jimmy and Kim’s apartment saying “club soda! club soda!” for the Howard ‘salsa’ stain.

Yeah, looked a little blurred. Also seemed (mostly) like a goodbye to Kim.

Thank you. Gotta love that 7:3 ratio. If I were king all advertising execs would go to Belize.

Mike Ehrmantraut: You need 5 stickers
Lalo Lives replied to shapeshifter's topic in Better Call Saul
Rewatching BCS, and the question came to mind: When Jimmy and Mike first interact (i.e.: The Great Sticker Wars) had Mike started doing freelance work yet? Had he started working for Gus? Again, at that point? just trying to get the timeline down. -
Very nice. wish I’d thought of that one.

I suspect CB will have a significant role. Otherwise, why bring her on? The Howard’s mother thing is what hit me first. I think I read somewhere that Howard’s wife will be seen in the next episode also. Lots of angst in the near future. J&K on the back foot.
