OOf, that’s intriguing.

Well, yes, that’s true. I feel better now. Shakespeare made up TONS of words and phrases. And I thought the only thing we had in common was wearing tights when shopping at Walmart.

Post script: I will indeed MURDER the tech monkey who INSISTS that every electronic device I own will auto-correct to “we’re” instead of “were.” I’ve wasted 32 months of my life fixing that damned error.

On Insider Podcast the PTB were discussing loose ends, unresolved plot points, etc. Schnauz intimated that they did not or COULD not address each one. Not every fire needs to be put out. I had thought about going through this entire forum and try to find EVERY so far unchecked box. But then I had a better idea: get a life! I’m still curious if Jimmy’s “Lalo” slip will mean anything. Will Wendy be instrumental to Kim’s downfall. The birthday phone call? Anything there? The diamonds? Will they be used? Will Marion be the late introduction who affects the man in character—like Uncle Jack did with Walt? Will Kim be the Jesse to Jimmy’s Walt? Will someone be shot at Taco Cabeza? These are just off the top of my 2nd cup of coffee induced brain flicker. I am certain there are MANY MANY MANY bigger and better and more important points. I’m just not doing the research, although it would be fun and interesting. I don’t think we’ll get a Disney ending. Jimmy’s sad face of dismay will be the last thing we see.

Oh, great. Why’d you put THAT thought in my head?! If that turns out to be true, I’m sending Ernesto, Omar, and Lyle to work you over. Thanks for this. Clears up things.

I think Saul simply adapted to the circumstances. If he’s dining with a bunch of cowboys, he’ll say: “He’ll YES, I want 2 shots of rye and a 48 oz rare ribeye, 2 pounds of bacon, and a can of dip.” for breakfast. With a bunch of lefty tree huggers he’ll have “2 teaspoons of oats, raw, an almond, and a half liter of soy water in a sustainable recycled non-plastic container.” A bunch of old ladies: “A glass of cold whole milk and 6 home-made chocolate fudge cookies, warm, fresh out of the oven.” So dealing with METH DEALERS, he’s gotta talk tough. Bumping people off? That’s nuthin. It’s part of doin business! It is his way of ingratiating himself with his audience. He’s a chameleon.

Yup. So true.

Old people are not as useless as many young people think. And young people are not as hopeless as many old people think. For generations old people have been lamenting the declining state of upcoming generations. And also for generations young people have been groaning about how old people have screwed up the world. I just read where Bill Russell died. In my opinion, Bill would have dominated today’s young basketball stars. But I’m a crusty old fart. But to put things into perspective, Jesse Owens would have left Bo Jackson behind. And many of today’s youngsters don’t even know how freakish Bo was. Of course this is sports I’m talking about. But entertainment is similar. George Burns, Jonathan Winters, do kids even know who they were? The aforementioned Alan Alda, MASH, and also Archie Bunker and All in the Family. Ground breaking stars and shows. Do young people know them? Similarly, Dave Chapelle, Key and Peele, Bill Burr…oldsters may not find that humor to their liking. Heck, there are records of people from 500 years ago whining about young people and their slovenly habits. Young artists thought Da Vinci was an old fogey who was behind the times. Oh crap, gotta go, time for my Metamucil Jello smoothie and Golden Girls/Murder She Wrote marathon.

Interesting and valid points re: Carol Burnett, age, audience knowledge due to time, etc. I suspect (think, hope?) that there will be more to her character. She may have been duped by Gene early on, but a Mama Bear has pretty good instincts. She may sniff out something that could prove problematic for Gene.

Si. GPH is completely made up.

I gotta be honest, when the word FETCH was first introduced into this thread, I saw, in my mind, FELCH. It made me worried about the minds of the people on this thread. Then I realized my mistake and worried about MY mind. (if you don’t know, don’t look it up) it’s kind of like this one not so famous chess player. When one googles his name, things TOTALLY unrelated to chess show up.

ONE EPISODE If you were trying to convince somebody to start BCS, which episode would you choose to get the juices flowing? My eldest son actually watched BB before anybody in our family, but short of zip ties, toothpicks, and gorilla tape, I cannot get him to watch BCS. I thought PIMENTO, since it has some cool fisticuffs that would appeal to a young man, and I don’t think it gives away too much of anything. Plus, as a BB alum, he’s familiar with Mike. Any suggestions?

I’m gobsmacked. What does fetch mean? I have had that said to me a few times. But enough about my mother in law.

Good Points Here. I’m a hip teen. I know all the lingo. swell. keen. bees knees. neato. golly gosh. gat. heater. slap leather. grab iron. I invented et cetera, the ampersand, the schwa, 11, and papyrus. DEATHLY afraid of sending a unicorn or rainbow or eggplant or pineapple or teddy bear when I just want to indicate ‘valid point’ or ‘well said.’ plus GPH is easy to spell AND remember. So don’t give me any more lip or I’ll sock you.

THANK YOU to SOMEBODY. Someone on one of the threads mentioned a new BCS podcast they were going to listen to. I did a quick search and found Spotify has these for the whole darned 6 seasons. In most cases the podcasts are longer than the shows they are discussing. But Wow! there is a lot of material. I’m only on S1Ep2 but very enjoyable. Great to listen to as I repaint my Suzuki Esteem.

For me the whole “is Gus gay” thing is just a device by the G&G crowd. It causes interest. The ambiguity lingers. It creates a more important connection with Max. It shows us Gus’ reason for his fury. Gus’ orientation is simply a tool similar to the use of colors in clothing. (Blue for good. Red for bad.) Certainly not exactly the same, just kind of similar. It points our minds toward his affection for Max. And therefore it gives us a clue as to his motivation for revenge. BCS has largely stayed away from social issues: race, women’s rights, etc. Perhaps the Mesa Verde logo thing with the artist was the only foray into the oppression of a particular group. And that was not heartfelt. Just a tactic by Jimmy. Had the person killed by Hector been Gus’ business partner AND girlfriend or wife, the ambiguity would not be there. But we would understand his need to avenge the death. But the simmering curiosity not would be there. With this “gay not gay” thing, the G&G posse has made us more alert to Gus’ movements, actions, and motivations.

Wasn’t the primary reason for Saul to visit the security office with the Cinnabons to thank the guard for calling the medical folks when Saul fainted? He did him a “SOLID.”
