I had a friend who was a lawyer who supposedly married "down". I put this in quotations because she basically married a man who made less money and was less educated than herself. I don't know if anyone else would consider this "down" but a lot of people in her friend and family circle certainly thought she was throwing herself away. She made the mistake of thinking that because she was the main breadwinner her husband would hold it down with the housework. Well, she was wrong. She was making most of the money and was responsible for most of the housework since he grew up with his mother doing most of his chores for him. He also cheated on her because she made him feel 'inadequate". I like Chris but in reality, he is an older man with children by a couple of women and does not have the financially secure background that Candiace's family provides. I imagine the two GEB think Chris is with her for the come-up and will happily go somewhere else for "comfort". It would still make him a more caring husband than Juan or Jamal.

I think the weak willed Dodi was cast as a contrast to the handsome charismatic Prince Charles. The actor who plays Prince Charles has such a beautiful voice. I could listen to him speak all day.

It feels very contrived but I do think he wanted his son to marry Diana. I don't know what his reasoning would be beyond he thought she would be his ticket to some sort of acceptance. Unpopular opinion...I do not like the lady playing Diana. I feel like she is letting her resemblance to Diana do all the heavy lifting. She is like a Diana impersonator. The lady who played young Diana does not look much like the real thing but she seems to have got the real essence of the woman that many in the world adored, rightly or wrongly. I know I am alone in this so I'll go sit at my table for one.

I think you both make valid points. It really drives home how these two people are definitely not meant to be together.

I am going to guess that Mou Mou was thinking that if Diana and Dodi had children, they would be half-siblings to the royal heirs. He thought this would be his ticket to British citizenship or perhaps something along those lines.

Desperately trying to keep her place on the show while her husband pursues his true love... which is most likely Juan. Maybe we should do a show where Juan decides whether he will give a final rose to Michael or Robyn.

The funny thing is, when the show first started, I liked Ashley, not Candiace. I thought Ashley was a hustler who was making the best of a bad situation. Candiace seemed like a spoiled entitled brat. Now, Ashley just seems desperate and Candiace has turned out to be an okay person, as far as I know.

I think Ashley measures "accomplishment" by how much money the husband brings into the marriage. Both Ashley and Candiace married older bald white men with kids. Michael's kids, with his first wife, are just a little younger than Ashley. In Ashley's eyes, Chris is the one who "married up", not Candiace. That being said, Candiace has proved to be a hard worker and I hope her music career goes well.

@Baltimore Betty you need to get this on a T-shirt. It would have been the perfect thing to wear at Bravocon.

I think Holly is in a really odd position. A lot of people remember her as part of a fun show about silly girly stuff. Now, Playboy feels really gross and dated even though some people probably thought it was glamorous when the show was actually on.

This should be played before each episode of the show.

As a short woman myself (not that I am saying you are short), I swear that the experts only matched Charlotte's Amber and Homeless Matt because they got a kick out of a tiny girl married to a very tall failed former basketball player. Of course, let's be honest, they have matched people for worse reasons.

I noticed Juan's defense of the hotel receipt situation was that the woman was unattractive, not that he would never cheat on Robyn. Robyn wanted to write off Coach Brie in the same way but Juan started getting dreamy eyed and claimed that she was definitely a "beautiful woman". Robyn's response was, "Yes, she looks like me". CRICKETS from Juan Juan thinks of Robyn as his landlady that he might pity fuck if he is bored. How long before we see pictures of Juan doing "laundry" with Michael Darby?

I honestly think she is some sort of actress and this is totally set up as the "party girl". It seems crazy that someone could be around 30 and that clueless but I know different people mature at different times.

I knew a lot of Emily types in college. These girls get a lot of mileage by just being semi-attractive blondes. My two blonde roommates always had guys do their bidding. When we were moving out they always had an army of guys doing all the work for them, even though they had no intentions of dating any of those guys. I also had a third blonde roommate but she was a total sweetheart who would never take advantage of anyone like that.

Hey, we got a new type of person this season. The "I don't like the Matriarchy of my culture but I live at home with my mama" guy. Just kidding...love ya Orion.

Orion is such a sweetheart. It kind of breaks my heart that he will be cheated on. He was so pleased with his bride's beauty and personality or at least that is what it seems like according to the previews.

The snowy wedding setting is gorgeous.

The weddings make me disappointed after the spoiler has been revealed. Some of these couples actually seem quite sweet together.
