Every episode we have seen the captain doing some menial task, and never complaining about it: swabbing decks, washing dishes, holding on to the rope so the guests sunbathing on the trampoline don't float away. Captain Lee is by far my favorite cast member.

The virtual body's not even cold yet, but when I read this I thought, "Christine...Christine...what season was she on? I don't remember a Christine..." -
They did give an update on them, they broke up after 2 weeks. I didn't realize that's how long it takes for restraining order to take effect. I hope someone takes poor Lacy aside and gently informs her that it's okay to wear make-up, just not ALL the make-up at the same time. With all the colors she had going on (yellow eye shadow? REALLY???), she immediately made me think of the woman who was recently arrested for stealing makeup and looked like this in her mug shot: http://q13fox.com/2014/09/02/woman-accused-of-stealing-144-of-eye-shadow/ I'm happy for them, because I like for people to fall in love, but good lord are they ever the most boring people to walk the reality TV planet. Even Sarah was more interesting than always-so-serious Marcus and baby-talk-smiley-clown Lacy. On Andi's season, I found Marcus' looks to be absolutely breathtaking, and I do still think he is incredibly handsome, but were I in Lacy's position, I don't think I could stand all the constant love-intensity and lack of humor. I would still take my jeans off in bed with him, sure, but the next morning I'd probably have to excuse myself. Can't imagine spending my life with someone who doesn't make me laugh, but thankfully Lacy seems completely satisfied with what he has to offer her: 80% romance / 40% earnestness. Also, he pronounced imagine as "eye-magine", and she probably didn't even notice. Match made in heaven. Wasn't really prepared for Michelle to be so blunt about her initial concerns about Cody's package size, and then to show up the next morning honking horns and waving flags about how great the sex was. Good for them and all, but ew. I wonder if that's what Cody was talking about when he kept telling Andi that if she would just take the time to "get to know him", she would love him. I, too, was disappointed that Ashlee didn't explode into a ball of fire and fury when Graham dumped her. I don't really believe that she liked Michelle as much as she claimed - I think she was just being really careful what she said about her because she knew Graham cared so much about Michelle. Wouldn't want to be on camera showing a true feeling, now, would you Ashlee?

Yes, it's definitely a real opportunity. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/epcot/epcot-divequest/ We inquired about it a few times while we were there, and have seen divers come in and out of the tube in the lobby area. We never found the wait list to be less than a year, so we stopped bothering to check, because I don't commit to things that are a year away. I committed to a Cirque Du Soleil show 3 months in advance, got the date confused, missed the show and wasted $150 on the tickets, so...let's just say I'm more of a spontaneous, fly by the seat of my pants sort of person. I think Frankie said that was the reason he became scuba certified, was so he could dive at EPCOT. He must have been assured he would get in before he made the trip, if he had time to get prepared. HAD to be sister related, because there is no other reason why Frankie would get preferential fast-lane treatment for this highly sought after experience. Jerk. -
When Teresa was shown praying, I thought the camera angle said a lot about how the editors feel about her grand show of contrition. When do they ever do a shot from the floor up to encompass the entire room someone is in, including the fancy ceilings, in order to show the enormity and opulence of the room? She was praying in hopes to show that she is but a simple, religious woman looking for help from God, and while I know that you can pray anywhere because God hears all things, it just doesn't look as good when she is laid out on a $10,000 rug in a room bigger than many peoples' houses, asking to be protected from justice for crimes she committed to get money.

Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out

For me, it's not actually conflict that makes a Big Brother season interesting. As long as there are real relationships formed, and people in the house are capable of making their own decisions and playing their own games, I'm happy enough. I personally much prefer that people get along well on reality TV - yelling and fighting makes me very uncomfortable and lights up my instinct to flee because I always expect and fear that violence will erupt. One thing I do appreciate about this season is that, even though there has certainly been some hideous behavior, no one got into any scary fights, all the mean things happened behind everyone's backs. I don't condone backstabbing as a general practice, but it's just a reality of this particular game, and in the past I haven't loved watching people get into knock-down-drag-outs over betrayals and such. Or in the season of Evel Dick, screaming and abusing people for other reasons. In this season, I don't think any of the relationships formed are of real value, or will last for long once the cameras turn off. In the beginning, I thought Zankie was real, because I hadn't realized yet what Frankie really was. Caleb believes they are all going to just keep on hanging together, going on vacations and visiting each other forever after this, bless his heart, but I just don't see that happening. The most I can see is a few people possibly keeping in touch with Donny, through phone calls and emails, that will dwindle off over time. The majority of this year's players have had so much time together to bond, but they mostly just talk game, over and over, all the time, endlessly. And 99.9% of the game talk is all just bullshit that never came to fruition anyway, so they may as well have been speaking Elvish for all the good it did. -
I do feel bad for the kids involved, but what bothers me about Teresa constantly bringing them up and featuring Gia's pain on TV is that she is not doing it to say how terrible she feels for bringing all of this stress and uncertainty into their daughters' lives, she is doing it as a reason why she and Joe should not be punished for their crimes. Crimes for which they admitted guilt. Everything on this show now is damage control, to make anyone with power over their future who might be watching, like maybe the judge, think, "Aw, man...I was really gonna stick it to those Guidices, but they've got these kids, and they seem to really, really NOT want to go to jail, so I guess I'll just go with probation." Everyone but Teresa knows the judge isn't watching, but even the other people on the show are going along with the redemption arc, like when Dina says stuff like, "We want to take you to Florida, Teresa, our treat!" and "Teresa doesn't care about having material things, all she cares about is her family", it's just part of playing their roles in the "Let's Try To Make Teresa Look Like A Better Person, Especially One Who No Longer Wastes Money" show.

Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out
Irritable replied to Stinger97's topic in Past Seasons
As horrifying as it is for me, as a woman, to type this, a big example of why I don't think Caleb is a sociopath that comes to mind is that he said he wanted to be the star of a TV show where he goes around taking fat, ugly women on dates to show them what it's like to go out with a nice guy. While it sounds at first like pure narcissism at its frat-boyest, that he has enough empathy to understand that all women should know what it's like to be taken out and treated well by someone tells me he is capable of empathy on some level. It's just on a shallow level at which he is still, of course, the hero. I think if he were a true sociopath, he would think fat, ugly women don't really deserve to go on a nice date with anyone, and especially not with a super fine catch like himself. He has shown glimpses of true kindness throughout the season, and I think when it comes down to it he really doesn't want to see any people (that he likes) get hurt in any way, not even feelings. No matter how much he may have improved these last few months, he's not perfect by any means, but for my money if I had to place my bet on the true sociopath of the house, it would be Frankie. -
We have been waiting with delicious anticipation all season to see The Master at full strength, and damn, was that ever a womp-womp-wooooomp. I've seen better special effects / monster makeup on the first episodes of Face-Off. Did they accidentally blow the whole budget on the Master's fingers and worm special-effects and then say "Oh, crap...we forgot to have someone mold the head of The Master! Anyone here got any experience with molding clay who's willing to do it in exchange for a sandwich and their name higher up in the credits?" For serious, those vigil-ante vampire things looked way better than he did. Disappointed!!!

Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out
Irritable replied to Stinger97's topic in Past Seasons
I think these forums just reflect the tone of season. If the show this year had been fun, we would all be having more fun discussing it. I think things were a little more lighthearted here when some of the likable people were still in the game, and also because during that time Frankie was still trying to hold up some semblance of projecting himself as a nice, fun guy. But his mask has not only slipped, he has ripped it off and stormed around in a super misguided fit of Frozen's LET IT GO, where he can no longer restrain who he really is inside. Every now and then you can almost see a glimmer of self-realization in his eye that he has just said a whole lot of insufferable stuff in a row, and that's when he jumps up and starts doling out a big fake hug and "I LOVE YOU!" to everyone, one at a time, even when there's no natural segue that would lead to it. It's really hard to find things going on during these last few weeks in that house to have happy, fun discussions about. All that I really have left for that is Caleb, and it's a huge stretch for me because I am totally against things he has done and said in the past, but I'm holding out hope that this experience has broadened his horizons a bit, and that who he really is inside is the guy we are seeing right now. I honestly believe that he is simple minded enough that many, if not all of his beliefs about race relations, politics, gay rights and women stem from him growing up around a bunch of people who think that way. He came into the house and in so many ways showed by his actions that no matter what he has said in the past, he doesn't really feel that way at his core. He doesn't understand that killing a hog with a stick is cruelty to animals because it's "hunting", and he was raised to believe everything about hunting is not only okay, but it's awesome. He didn't understand that claiming Amber as his woman like some caveman, and then becoming infuriated when she didn't reciprocate and get right in line was grotesque misogynistic behavior, because in the places he comes from, misogyny isn't a thing that is dealt with in his circles. Stories he has told about his brothers with women have proved that. I am of high hopes that Caleb has truly grown as a person from these months, and that he will continue to look for adventures in life that will take him forever out of the gross mentality that he came into the house with. If he just goes straight back to inhumane treatment of animals and aggressively stalking and trying to control women, well, then I give up. But for now, he is the one person in the house that holds any interest for me at this point, aside from the burning flames on the side of my face that Frankie gives me. -
I am not really a fan of Jeff and Jordan, I can take them or leave them, but I do really like love... I'm a total sap for that stuff. Since what we have left to work with on this season is so lame and boring, I was quite thankful for all the time spent on the proposal. It was incredibly sweet of him to surprise her, and bring in everyone she loves to celebrate, including her dog. Seeing people who are truly in love makes me happy. I want everyone to have a partner who is as perfect for them as Mr. Irritable is for me, it's what makes all the shit sandwiches that life serves up taste almost bearable. I was grateful to see something on this season that was genuinely sweet and almost Frankie-free (I agree that him tearfully clutching the dog was gross, because everyone knows why he did it - CAMERAS LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! But truth be told, in that exact same situation, I would have also wanted to hug the dog, just because it was a dog). I hope it's okay to say this here because I don't consider it any kind of spoiler now, but I had read that Caleb had seen the guitars standing in the corner and assumed that meant he was going to be asked to sing. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, Caleb. This guy. When they were humiliated and stammering about who should take the credit for the house being such a filthy sty, one of them should have just said, "We evicted all of our housekeepers."

I know, right? Now Frankie is messing with my beloved Walt Disney World / Disneyland, and has crossed a serious line with me. DO NOT SULLY THE NAME OF WALT DISNEY, you pathetic, disgusting Peter Pan's talentless asshole cousin. I'm not even sure what he meant about Disneyland teaching him to push his way to the front of useless lines, because the lines in Disney parks are always legit, and well managed. I remember he was speaking weeks ago about getting to scuba dive in the aquarium at EPCOT, and how that was something that normally had a waitlist years long so he was lucky to be able to do it without waiting, and I assumed it had something to do with him being there with Arianna. So he got special privileges on hallowed Disney grounds and then turns around and shits on them by trying to convince other people that they are fat losers if they stand in their lines like civilized human beings? I CANNOT WITH HIM. He only gets worse the more you learn about him! I enjoy satire as much as the next person, but that did not read as satire to me at all. It read exactly like Frankie when he's telling a story. He thinks he's funny, and he thinks his funniest material is when he says ugly shit about someone else. I can picture it as if I were a fly on the wall as he typed - he wrote all of that with a smug as fuck ducklips look on his face, stopping only to give himself finger snaps and roof-raises, because he knew that this story was going to just KILL with his fans. If he was really attempting satire, he failed spectacularly and should probably read The Onion more to see how it's actually done. -

While I was not a fan of seeing Christine and all the Codytouching, I also don't think it's a crime punishable by public stoning. I don't think she should wear a scarlet letter and hang her head in shame when she's back behind the counter at Starbucks (if they even want her back after all the nasty things she said about their customers, and admitting to giving away free coffee in exchange for tattoos). But booing her is a far cry from stoning. It's a sound people make with their mouths to show their dislike for someone. BFD. She didn't actually have sex with Cody, she just displayed behavior that was unbecoming to a married woman and that could be hurtful to her husband, who is on the outside looking in, literally. (I hate that word now.) I don't see why Christine's feelings being hurt by an unfriendly audience is any worse than all the ugly things that she said about other people while in the house, things that those people will all hear once they are able to watch for themselves. Donny hearing her call him perverted and saying she hated him so much that he disgusted her will certainly sting more than if she just booed him. I'm sure Amber and Brittany didn't feel great when they heard how much Christine was bashing them, nor will Jocasta when she finds out. With or without the Codytouching, Christine is just a toxic person, and if booing is the worst thing she gets after all the meanness she has displayed on this show, then she's getting off pretty easily, in my opinion. -

Ideally, I would have them go through the voting process, and have Julie say, "By a vote of 2 to 0, Victoria, you WOULD have been evicted from the Big Brother house, but the RESET BUTTON HAS BEEN PUSHED. HOLLA!!!!!!!!" -
Yes, I don't love the way they portray that the "primary" is the only guest whose happiness REALLY matters on these charters. I guess it's because they are the one who decides the tip, but to me, whoever they bring as their guests should be treated with all of the same courtesies and excellent service.

This is my fear, also. I can't completely unclench and fully enjoy that his efforts this week are for naught, because if the rewind is a TRUE rewind, then the competition Frankie won would likely be the same as the one he already snagged. And even if it's not, he has too much of a great chance of winning again. I thought if Victoria had a chance at winning anything, it would be the morph challenge. Not that this particular win would have mattered, but it just shows that there really isn't a competition out there she can win, legitimately, on her own. When Caleb was stuck in the beehive room, he made me laugh twice. Once, when he announced how proud he is of himself, because his hair has grown. Growing hair is another one of Beastmode Cowboy's stellar accomplishments!!! The other was when he said his birthday is in November, he's going to throw himself a huge party in NY, and everyone is invited. Everyone. Mr. Irritable and I were delighted, and will be definitely making plans to go to New York in November and look for the guy wearing a Beast Mode Cowboy shirt (he wishes he already had a shirt that says this so he can wear it through the airport on his way home and "represent"). -

I want to believe it will greatly upset Frankie, but part of me thinks that at this point, he won't care who goes this next week as long as it's not him, which it can't be. He believes he can beat most of them in the end, if not all of them, so while he may not be pleased for say, Caleb to go next, it won't destroy his game if he does. This won't break his spirit like it would have if the reset had been introduced a few weeks ago. I won't be happy until his spirit is broken! -

That's right! I had forgotten Julie was on the list of people Christine kept saying she haaaaated. In the big picture, a few boos from strangers in a tv audience is nothing compared to the absolute skewering she is getting online, from people who are using their words, and lots of them, to express their intense dislike for her. And of course, there is dealing with Tim, her family and their church, which will at the very least be uncomfortable. I look at the booing as the first step in transitioning Christine into what's waiting for her when she gets out. I would rather hear some brief boos than read what people with time to really articulate their feelings, who are protected under cover of anonymity, have to say any day - and whatever is said on this site is comparatively mild. I mean, people will say horrible, soul-jarring things in the comments on a video about kittens, just because they can, so Christine should definitely buckle up because the ride is only going to get bumpier. No way is she going to be able to avoid seeing some of it, no one will be able to insulate her completely from the haters. -

DE = Double Elimination Frankie has never heard boos like that before because you can't hear it when someone boos your YouTube videos. I am too lazy/don't care to look up any of his to see if he allows comments. I could absolutely see him turning comments off to avoid any negative feedback. -

Irritable replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
We can't know that all the people in the audience that booed haven't seen the feeds. If they are real fans of the show, then they probably know a lot more than casual CBS-only viewers. The one person I read about who was in the audience this season and gave a long rundown of the experience, including being asked not to boo, was a big fan who was very informed about everything that has gone on in the house. And we will probably never know now if Cody would have been booed, because that shit is going to be on lockdown now (and even if he is booed, I will believe some of those people did it because he has been the wimpiest wimp ever throughout the season - who swore to Donny he wouldn't put him up for eviction and then did it anyway because of cowardice - and a huge part of why this year has been so frustratingly predictable and sucky). Cody has at least had a few endearing moments, like punching himself in the face, and being a clumsy dinosaur, but I can't think of anything Christine has ever done that has been charming or redeeming. I have no reason to believe that Christine's hecklers only did so because of the Codytouching, because it's impossible for me to know that's the case. Former HG's on previous seasons have fully cheated on their significant others as far back as Shannon very blatantly cheating on her boyfriend with Dr. Will, and not been disliked as much as Christine, if the boos are the gage we are using here. Shannon was by far more disliked for cleaning the toilet with Hardy's toothbrush, and harassing Autumn about her weight because she knew that was her Achilles heel. True, Christine is married, but she didn't even kiss Cody, so I really do think it's more than possible that there are myriad reasons why people in the audience booed besides just the touching. -
First, they discussed that Kim has not had contact with her parents since the lawsuit, and that she does not miss her mom. Then, they discussed why Kroy is no longer in contact with his, and the first reason they gave was that his parents didn't like that Kim already had two children. They went on further to say that his family had been judgmental and said things about Kim that he didn't like. So they don't speak to parents on either side of the family, and with Kroy it sounded like more than just his parents that he had cut off.

Irritable replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
True, but again, a lot of people who dislike her may feel that way because of the awful things she said about Donny. I just can't stand who she is as a person, in general, and her Codytouching was inappropriate, but by no means the only reason people may have booed her. And she strikes me as the type who would boo the loudest if she were in the audience when someone she didn't like came through the door. She's vicious and unnecessarily nasty. Of course, one thing that I need to remember here is that the people who watch these episodes don't all watch live feeds and BBAD, so maybe they don't realize how truly vile Christine has been. I guess CBS has only really shown her Codytouching, and left out so much of her other gross behavior. It's hard to keep straight what I've seen on the broadcast and what I've seen elsewhere, it all starts to blend after a while. -

WOW. Okay, so I take back where I said Krista was smart, because I just watched her answer "mushrooms" to a question that she knew was in the category of fruit. Am I supposed to dislike Kent, still? I find his friendship with Bunky sweet, and am giving him credit for opening his mind and heart enough to be able to love Bunky for who he is. He came into the house a bigot, and that's gross, but I can't help but be so happy that he was willing to accept and appreciate that Bunky is a great person even though it went against his disgusting beliefs to the contrary. Isn't that all we want from homophobes? I can't remember if Kent was a forever-villain, or if the general consensus was that he came out a whole lot better than he was when he went in.
