The Hat actually said that he can't take them any where he hasn't been, so they couldn't get to Menagerie that way.
A characteristic which seems to be common with teleporters, so that makes sense.
Not liking Dreamgirl-1 or Brainy so much these days. A little over-exposed and definitely over-the-top most of the time. Jesse Rath's acting choices and delivery are definitely beginning to bug. No reason we can't get the more human Brainiac 5 from the Legion comic books.
And man...J'onn abandoned that pacifist stance pretty quickly. This late in the show's run and they still can't figure out what to do with MM.
Funny, before sitting down to write this post, I really liked the episode. Other than seeing Manchester Black I'm now feeling kind of meh about it. I think a lot of that feeling comes from the writers not being nearly detailed enough and trying to cram so much content into every episode.

Actually, as my former GF and her co-workers were fleeing Downtown Manhattan that day, she correctly (and almost immediately) surmised that we were under attack when the second plane hit. She and her co-workers walked across the Williamsburg Bridge into Brooklyn - a questionable strategy to me because I expected al-Qaeda to start taking out the Bridges and Tunnels next, effectively isolating Manhattan. It really was a nightmare day from Hell. Re: television coverage: I seem to be the only one who remembers (or mis-remembers?) this, but I swear I recall all the TV stations (at least in NYC) going off-line for an hour around 8pm that night.

This show has been growing on me, so I have mixed emotions about the season finale. I lived in NYC for most of my life and resided in Brooklyn on 9/11. My then-SO worked four blocks away from Ground Zero. So that day was a very real thing for me, something I'll never forget. Especially the strong smell of jet fuel in the air two days after the event. So having strong emotions almost 20 years after the event kind of makes sense to me. Honestly, I still get nervous driving over the Brooklyn Bridge, wondering if/when we're going to get hit again. But life goes on, and as other posters said, Jon had enough other crises going on in his life that committing suicide because of survivor's guilt somehow rings false and hollow.

Yes, more Wendy, particularly since we're getting too much Tammy. Six seasons in we know virtually nothing about Wendy. She cries a lot, is a good Nurse, and has a lot of roommates. That's it. We see Tammy get laid, but Wendy only occasionally mentions male companionship. The character deserves a stand-alone episode, at least.

Yes to that. As another poster noted, it was almost like Lena was looking to start a disagreement as a means to end the relationship. The way Katie played it, that was Lena's whole demeanor in the Limo.
Poor James, so unlucky in love. And since we've already been down to James Olsen-Lucy Lane road with this show, my guess is his next romance will be with a brand new character, although TPTB love recycling characters from cannon.

Thank you for that Hater, it made me both happy and sad. That YT clip reminded me that even in 1993, a little past its Zenith, GH was still re-writing the genre. Real action and adventure in the afternoon. Damn. Today's show runners can't pull that off - even worse, they don't even care that they don't have those kind of creative chops. All we get now is blind Borgs pulling their guns out for no real reason. And as a TG/Luke fan, it's kinda painful to think there's a whole generation of fans who don't realize how cool he was back in the day (retconned rape S/L aside). The best reformed character we get now is fucking Franco. Gag. Retch.

Yep, it's definitely a Lorre thing. In reality, Stuart's life has never really been all that pathetic. His store struggled a bit (hard to understand since he always had a stream of regular customers), but now it's successful, and he has a cute-ish girlfriend with a great personality who definitely seems to "get" him. A lot of real-life folks aren't doing that well, lol.

Well the guys do it all the time (the Katie Sackhoff and Summer Glau episodes come to mind). Oddly enough, the ladies come off creepier and more lascivious than the guys. Which kind of makes sense if you've ever been to a women's strip club.

Yeah, the show did a nice little fake-out with the near kiss. Eddie seems to be growing up a bit, and it might still be possible for the two to reconcile.

Even though there are still some inconsistencies, AMLT is definitely getting better, more of the show I was hoping we'd get. There's been enough good stuff in the past three or four episodes to bring me back next season.

Agreed on both fronts. It reminded me of some of the early season episodes, a bit mean spirited, with lots of nerdy, scientific goofiness. No Anu, but that was kind of ok. Here's hoping the show runners can duplicate this magic eight more times this season.

We didn't get as many UCG moments today as yesterday. But "go away Lulu" still has me cracking up at random moments. Kin Shriner is Gold.
Another funny spot was when Laura verified that Kevin, not Ryan, had visited her in France last year (they apparently had sex then). My thought was "don't worry Laura, Ryan would rather bite the head off a rattlesnake than make love to you," lol.

Not just sillier, but also louder and at times unintelligible. At one point I was ready to activate my closed captioning to figure out what the heck he was saying.

On another note, did anyone else catch MB as John Gotti in the Victoria Gotti Lifetime movie. Interestingly enough, Mo didn't mumble, stutter or stumble over his lines, but the real John Gotti was much more handsome and dapper IMO.

I have a suspicion that something is going on in the actor's personal life and the writers don't feel a need to address the injuries on screen. Since he actively boxes on the show it could have easily been written off as sparring injuries.

Jill acting like a snobby bitch insulting and degrading him is not baggage. I'm glad his self esteem is high and he challenged Jill's shitty treatment instead of accepting her apology and going forward. Her feelings, as latent as they may be, say he's 'less than' because of her wealth.
Maybe the S/L hits too close to home for me, but I really think Jill's reaction is because of Andy's looks, not his social status. Remember, Rick Fox plays her ex-husband.

Not to burst your bubble, but NutMeg would only be replaced by a clone. Apparently there's a standing rule that her seat on The View has to be occupied by an ignorant, immature, babbling, unpleasant, disrespectful, narcissistic, right-wing, nut job/ass wipe. You'd think those types would be in short supply, but the View seems to have a very special, seemingly endless pipeline.

As another poster mentioned, Lucky is off in Africa doing charity work. And Luke and Tracy are living happily in Amsterdam, or so we're led to believe.
With different show-runners, JJ and Jack Wagner would have been lured back to GH, then teamed with Anna and Robert (and maybe Dante if the actor decided to come back) to do an all-new, kick-ass era of WSB stories (with no Sonny or Jason). The fun action/adventure S/Ls could be a regular Tuesday/Thursday arc to balance out all the ridiculous bullshit.

Despite what the co-hosts say about getting along off-screen, I can't imagine any of them (outside of Whoopi who clearly says she's just in it for the money) enjoys coming to that set every day. If they were really so buddy-buddy outside of work, how does that just suspend itself for one hour daily? Hmm...have we all been duped by a scripted reality show with NutMeg playing the Omarosa role? The mind boggles.
