  1. Wendy is usually correct in gossip - she does have her team of 'insiders' at different TV shows and networks. I believe she knows what she's talking about, and I believe it's true. I think she innocently jumped the gun because she really thought Sara had made her announcement already. She does like Whoopi and Joy, and she admittedly has grown to appreciate MM on the show. It's obvious she doesn't like Sara - and I don't think Sunny, either. She does like Ana. She did say this is her second favorite show on daytime TV (hers is first, of course).
  2. According to WENDY WILLIAMS today Sara is leaving the show, too. She first covered MM's announcement that she's leaving the show . She then said ABC will have two seats to fill, because Sara is also leaving the end of this season - which caught everyone by surprise, but she thought Sara already announced it. She assured everyone it's true - Sarah is going, too. (She also said Sara is 'easily replaceable').
  3. According to WENDY WILLIAMS today Sara is leaving the show, too. She first covered MM's announcement that she's leaving the show (to a big round of applause from the audience which WW wasn't expecting), and claimed none of the other cohosts knew about this until yesterday morning. She also believes MM wants to stay in DC with her family and not uproot back to NYC with a new baby. She didn't cast any doubt that this was MM's decision - not ABC's. 5. The first week Rosie O was there in September 2014, the ratings shot up. By the end of September, the ratings started to slip drastically - as the curiosity factor wore off (and audiences weren't too happy with the 'passive' Rosie sitting on the stage). By the time they went on their holiday break three months later, the ratings were tanking - and that's when rumors were flying another major overhaul was on it's way. Persistent rumors were that Rosie Perez was being fired from the show and not be returning (she had left for a few months to star in 'Big Fish' on Broadway), mixed with rumors that Whoopi was negotiating to leave at the end of January, too. Rosie O finally made her announcement that she was leaving in the second week of February. By the end of the season the new panel from September 2014 was completely gone (Perez and Wallace were fired) and Goldberg was left standing.
  6. No, I don't really follow her. I just see her on this show each week, and have caught her on CNN from time to time. I like her on CNN much more than here - she seems a different person.
  7. For some reason I like Ana much more on CNN than on THE VIEW. On CNN, she's pretty vocal against the opposition. On THE VIEW, she agrees with everything Joy and Whoopi says - and she's supposed to be the republican voice ? (And I'm not referring to her opposition to Trump; I'm talking her republican values which seem to be missing on 'The View').
  8. The ratings you refer to over the past two months were in comparison to last year at this time, during a pandemic when everyone was locked in their homes. EVERY talk show has dropped in ratings - expectedly - compared to last year at this time. Still the show is #1. Where do you have proof that ABC fired her ? You're speculating. Not at all - it depends what the talent's agent has negotiated on their behalf. I'm willing to bet McCain has a great agent - she's not stupid when it comes to looking out on her behalf. 2015????? When Michelle Collins and Raven were added to the show ? The season when Collins suddenly 'disappeared' from the show one day - no announcement, no farewell - just gone ? Consistently rising since then ? 😄
  9. What MeAgain did is pretty standard - she gave viewers a month's notice of her departure. Why would she want to wait until August - when they were on hiatus - to say she's leaving ? What she did was 100% correct - and she will be here another month. No way did ABC give her the boot - not with ratings at an all-time high the past few seasons with her on the show (and she mentioned their ratings in her good-bye speech, referring to the show as being #1). As I said before, and both Whoopi and Joy alluded to in their comments without giving it away - I believe she has her eye on a political future, maybe as early as '22. After 4 seasons on this show, she got all she needed to get out of it: PUBLICITY, whether it's good or bad. She has become a 'name' in the conservative party by her being on this show, she has shared her political beliefs for four years. Best campaign strategy she could have ever planned, and now it's time for her to move on to bigger and better things. When Joy compliments her on the arguments they had over four years, and says "You're not a snowflake" - that's a warning to those candidates she will be debating in years to come. She's not going to fade into the shadows, that's for certain.
  10. Thank you for this - it's a very enlightening post. How do you feel about black people such as Michael Jackson trying to pass off as a white person by bleaching his skin and having facia work done to get rid of his 'black features' ?
  11. Anyone notice during their 'shoe talk' McCain said "I think you guys should wear whatever shoes when you return to the studio in September" ? YAY! No more remoting in next season !!!
  12. She will start in Arizona and move up from there. She has her last name behind her. Why else does she want to stay 'in the Beltway' now ? She needs to hobnob with the right people.
  13. The conversation about Cosby was expected - no surprises in their reactions. However, what was missing from the talk was Phylicia Rashad, who they fawn all over whenever she's a guest on the show, and her publicly standing by Cosby yesterday, PRAISING HIS PRISON RELEASE. She's been trending for what she has said - and not in a good way at all. Why aren't the ladies of the show not mentioning her and her controversial remarks ? https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/07/01/phylicia-rashad-cosby-tweet-howard/ https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/30/phylicia-rashads-comments-on-bill-cosbys-release-slammed-on-twitter.html https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/bill-cosby-phylicia-rashad-janet-hubert-b1876280.html
  14. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT WHOOPI CLOSED WITH - she said MeAgain can 'take on anything' once she leaves here. I truly believe she's hinting to MeAgain's near future in politics. Just my opinion, without going off topic.
  15. I CALLED IT - she's using family, baby, and not wanting to uproot from 'The Beltway' to move back to NYC. Notice she's not dressed like a circus clown to make her announcement ? Notice she didn't name Ana when she doled out her 'thank yous' ?
  16. Yes. A network spends a lot of time and money finding the right talent. It's not a spur of the moment decision - they invest a lot of money and time behind the scenes before they make the choice - and in MM's case, I think they had to negotiate her away from FOX. They want a return on the investment - and 7 years is the return.
  17. Negative attention or positive attention - doesn't matter. She's bringing attention to the show, which brings in viewers, which brings in ratings, which brings in $$$$$$$$. And the $$$$$$ is all that ABC cares about.
  18. When a host and a network sign a contract, it's usually for a long period of time - with 'escape clauses' in the contract for either side to end the contract and move on. Whoopi's 'one year contract' could very well be an extensive contract, with a clause which gives Whoopi the chance to leave without penalty at the end of every season (that would be her agent and lawyer negotiating this for her). Whoopi can negotiate this in her contract since she's been there for nearly 15 years - she's earned it. I'm sure Joy has something similar. As for MeAgain, I'm sure she did the standard seven year contract, and now they are at the mid-point ('escape clause') where she can decide to leave, or ABC can terminate - according to her contract. I doubt very much that ABC wants to get rid of her or anyone else on the show with the show maintaining the "#1 daytime talk show status" all season long. It's a cash-cow for ABC. I think it's her decision - she will say to stay home with Liberty, but I'm sure she has her eye on a much bigger prize in the next few years.
  19. I doubt very much ABC is getting rid of her - she's helped make the show the #1 talk show in daytime, which means a cash cow for ABC. I think she had a long talk with MyFather, and realized she wants to 'spend more time at home' with Liberty (who will be a year old in September) and doesn't want to uproot and move back to NYC from 'the beltway' and go to a studio every day in September. And I still think she's planning something big for 2024, possibly 2022.
  20. If MeAgain is going, then please - let her grab Sara by one hand and the theme song by the other hand and all leave together ! She and Sara can take jobs at 'The Talk' (they're hiring) and the theme song can be thrown away in the trash.
  21. Glad you brought it up. I didn't watch the whole thing either, because there was something definitely 'sketchy' about the whole interview, and yes - I think she was on something, as well. I'm really not sure why this woman is going on a 'media tour', least of all why 'The View' booked her.
  22. Let me get this straight... The guy from London who has 'felt like he was Korean' all his life decides to have 18 surgeries to make himself look Korean (I think he looked pretty good) and now he's comfortable in his life, as he always associated being Korean. Wendy has a problem with this. How exactly is this different from people being born male but having surgery to become women, and those born as female but have surgery to become male - because these people have always felt their bodies was the wrong gender ? Does she trash these people too? Does she say 'nah -uh' to them ? She then goes on a splurge saying about white people who try to be black, and this is the same thing with this guy being Korean. Huh? Did she have a problem with Michael Jackson bleaching his skin and changing his facial features to look more white ? Her DJ says his father is white and his mother is black, and she says 'that makes you black' . Says who ? If he identifies as white who is she to say no ? If someone is half Asian and half Black, half Latino and half Black, half middle-Eastern and half-Black, does that make them all Black ? BTW, a big shout out to the circus attractions who fill up her audience every day...and then step up to the microphone and get their fifteen minutes of publicity. They have quite the self-esteem to go on TV looking as bad as they usually do.
  23. According to reports, when Elaine Wallpaper was offered the show she said she would only join if they changed the focus and talked about 'serious topics' in the headlines. They said OK, and it looks like nothing changed much. No more talk of 'racism' (like when they had the 'very special episode' after Osborne left), no talk of conservative states legalizing voter oppression, no talk of critical race theory - all the serious topics which have been in the headlines the past two months. I guess they don't give a crap about Elaine Wallpaper.
  24. I'm surprised MeAgain didn't mention the 'many friends' she has working at VOGUE, and they agree with everything she says about the magazine. I mean no matter the topic at hand, she has 'friends' who are eye-witnesses to what's going on, so she must have a dozen friends at VOGUE.
