  1. I was curious to see what the "public" reaction to this episode would be since obviously we're all supposed to think Kody and Robyn are despicable for imposing these rules on the family, yet I personally know so many who are still JUST like this: leaving their mail sitting outside for days lest it contaminate them (even our library still leaves books "in quarantine" before processing), wiping down purchases, refusing to go even outdoors in the fresh air without a mask, some refusing to leave the house at all -- using DoorDash and other deliveries. Needless to say, I'm one of the "careless" ones who errs more on the side of living my life (Team Christine and Janelle), and I find K&R and those like them absurd... Interesting if Meri has REALLY been isolating all this time and still didn't merit an invite to interact with the two family members who actually love her (S&A), and sad to see how alienated she is from Robyn, her former BFF and partner in crime. As for Robyn, it's always fascinating to see her (oh, yeah; not) pulling the strings!
  2. "Ful"? Her dad is a minister???
  3. And still popping out more!
  4. Of course "improvement wouldn't be immediate." As I said, all it does is stop growth on one side; not CAUSE growth on the other side.
  5. As I understand it, they scraped the bone plates on the longer sides of the legs to stop or slow the growth so the bone plates on the other, shorter sides of the bones could keep growing and catch up, evening them out. I don't think they're MORE bowed now; I think they were just EXTREMELY bowed before the surgery, making it necessary to do the procedure NOW and not later (even if it means a second to follow later, which is what Tori seemed to trying to avoid by delaying it).
  6. Even if Sander isn't interested in "who" and "when," I am... All I can think is Amir when he visited Florida, unless it was the girlfriend fling fail and it "didn't count" because it was digital? That was way too much of a drive-by revelation from her. At any rate, doesn't sound like it was a very satisfying experience; hope it was worth all the pain and agony she's gone through!
  7. She complains when she's pregnant and complains when she's not pregnant. Get over yourself, Tori!
  8. Jonah: the apple doesn't fall far from the tree (Amber, and Liz is another apple).
  9. The mom is getting the good edit (the "poor, pitiful me; I didn't know no better" edit that Amy gets). Guess she wants on the TLC gravy train (regular role), too...
  10. Plenty of people live in RVs, especially fifth wheelers, full-time; I wouldn't call that "homeless." In fact, IMO you're LESS "homeless" at least owning that as opposed to renting a house. She's said in the past she'd be perfectly happy living this way. Truth to tell, a lot of women "of a certain age" are not interested in going at it like rabbits anymore. Probably including Robyn. With the possible exception of Meri.
  11. I doubt if anyone will "spiritually divorce" anyone; they believe marriage is for eternity. That doesn't mean they have to live together or even see each other. That was last season. He couldn't make it any clearer this season he is DONE; stick a fork in him...
  12. I don't think Kody is "hinting" that Meri should court him. I don't know how any man can make it any clearer to any woman that he is over/done with her forever.
  13. Tisa has subsequently admitted that it was just an excuse to get Tammy to walk, so I'm done trying to make logical sense of that scene...
  14. Having to deflate a lung didn't sound like such a great idea, either; I'm still curious what they had against the traditional surgery, but that's the wacky Browns for ya...
  15. All the women except the legal wife (at the time) are considered single mothers with dependents and thus eligible for government benefits (food stamps, subsidized housing, Medicaid, etc.); they discussed pooling their food stamps in early episodes. It's common among polygamists and called "bleeding the beast." So I assume they had insurance, even if just state-sponsored, but maybe it didn't cover this out-of-state experimental (?) method. I assume she could have gotten the usual surgery right where she was.
  16. She shouldn't (and wouldn't) have been released unless (and until) her pain was being controlled. Also, is this much post-operative pain common with the rod-and-screw method?
  17. I am confused why Isabelle is BOTH on heavy-duty painkillers every three hours AND "in soooooo much pain!!!" all the time. Either they're not working, or it's a story line. When you take narcotics, you're not in pain. You're FEELING no pain. Also, what was wrong with the tried-and-true rod-and-screw method? The cable thing just sounds sketchy, like it will fail at some point. JMO. The producers must love a Christine-heavy story; she says everything twice, thus filling more otherwise empty air time!
  18. Isn't this the fourth or fifth time Jeanette has "cut loose over cocktails"? We are beginning to see how the family tendency toward addiction is playing out in her case...
  19. I hate to say it, but it's male-pattern fat distribution; the hard internal visceral abdominal fat (the classic beer belly) versus the squishy surface butt, thigh, upper arm, and hip fat that women tend to get. The former also lends one to heart disease.
  20. Virtue-signaling. Also grifting.
  21. It's their countrified style; their kids won't appear for pictures with a purple mohawk and metallic leggings. I find it sweet and refreshing, personally...
  22. The white male was soooooooooo close this week; I thought we were going to make history! (Actually, make history again, as I saw on the reruns that there was one before him.) His tsunami was the most effective and impressive of the three, which I thought was the point; the winner looked more like green slime to me... His wreath cookies were BY FAR the best, although you could tell Eddie was preparing to throw shade on them. Who cares about the winner's bee-sting story? Just because that happened on one her HER Christmases doesn't make it a Christmas cookie (sigh). And there wouldn't be all that white space above the bow if they put the bow on the TOP of the wreath instead of the bottom; is that how the cookie cutter comes or something and no one thought to Frankencutter it by reconfiguring bow placement? I wonder if I'll ever agree with the judges? It would help if it weren't just Ree and Eddie; who breaks a tie? Still, it's great fun to watch!
  23. But they had both Jonah and Elizabeth before adopting (even though Anna is older). She was adopted at age 4, and I'm sure she's been hearing that "resting bitch face" from Amber, who's still bitter about their attachment failure, ever since. In other news, I read that Anna has a boyfriend! He basically looks like Jonah without the dwarfism. Go, Anna!!!
  24. She stripped down in the last episode to reveal her massive torso (breasts and abdomen); mostly, that "beer gut." You could even count the stretch marks where she gained a huge amount of weight relatively quickly. If I had to guess, I'd say it's as much from that "right medication" (probably an antipsychotic, since she's been on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety agents for years) as from over-eating. Psychiatric drugs can also give you a HUGE appetite. At any rate, it's obviously real, and that seems to be the only place she collects fat, as Ari's upper thighs aren't much smaller than Jazz's. Jazz... Escape to Pomona!
  25. Looks like her new neighbor who started coming to her soup nights and seems to want to become a regular on the show. Maybe she's a paid actress? I get a "Lucy and Ethel" vibe. Chris looks like Mr. Rogers in that cardigan!
