  1. I like that things aren’t automatically returning back to normal for Angie. Yes we all know she will eventually get her badge back but this version of her sitting inside her guilt (and I do think she is accepting responsibility but also is saying that she did what she thought was right at the time) but not being overwhelmed by it is a good look for her. If the story is going with Amanda and Sunny as roommates it’s going to be an interesting story. A woman used to being alone suddenly with a teenager living in the home is going to be all the right kinds of awkward.
  2. The show was really fun the first couple of seasons mainly because I liked Alice as a character.
  3. I thought the arc did what it was supposed to do. I liked Hannah because she went out of her way to be friends with Brennan. But it was always a last obstacle for both Booth and Brennan to get together. That being said I would have enjoyed a single episode toward the end of the series where Hannah returns needed Brennan’s help and not bring the least bit surprised that Booth and Brennan are not only together but raising a family.
  4. Isn’t that how horror movies start? But seriously in most circles sex without the possibility of unplanned pregnancy would be a good thing but then Jill lives in a world where not being able to have any more kids must push every paranoid button that Hunk would leave her for someone fertile. They will continue to have their Friday night unprotected sex night and if one of them gets pregnant then God is answering. If not that just need to pray harder. Edited to add: These idiots are so uneducated and stupid I am genuinely surprised they even know how to do sex.
  5. Not a bad start. I like how not everything is automatically set back to zero at the pilot. The reason Will is brought back fits tv logic. Everyone has loved on since he left.
  6. I forgot how bad this is. It is disappointing considering I think Interview With The Vampire is one of the best shows currently on tv. The whole plot is just sad. I don’t like any of the characters. I was hoping the show would be better but I think I am tapping out.
  7. This show looks interesting by I loath shows where the entire case could essentially be solved by telling someone the truth. If the truth actually matters and it looks like in this case it might then the entire premise is based on people lying just to move the plot and create drama.
  8. Never heard of this before but was checking out things to watch on Max and this is really one of my two favorite genres. The haunted house thing has been done before but I like the premise that it might all be in mom’s mind and that family is already predisposed to be angry at her because she blew up their lives by cheating.
  9. I am guessing (and this is just my guess) is the SMG will be the first innocent person to fall at the alter of Dexter's dark passenger. An early version of Doakes. Someone who starts to suspect something isn't quite right about Dexter but because of her own failings or something else happens no one believes her. As for Patrick Dempsey I am thinking he is more a LaGuerta problem. This also looks like the rise of LaGuerta as well as the rise of Dexter. LaGuerta is an opportunist so she will use whatever opportunity to get ahead and we do know by season one of the OG LaGuerta is Captain so ruining the bro code Captain Aaron Spencer might be her first step to getting there. That is if the Original Sin is a single season story. To me it only really makes sense if it is one or two seasons since we know Harry doesn't live long past Dexter's first kill. Harry falls in love with his source but isn't there to save her because his wife is giving birth to Deb which would be added pathos to Harry on why he can't look at his daughter. I don't think Patrick Dempsey or SMG are going to play major major rolls in the story. Too many serial killers in a single place would get weird. But having one of them be the first person to scare Dexter would be an interesting story.
  10. Poor Deb. Harry fell in love with Dexter before Deb was even born. Heck From episode 5 it looks like he was almost ready to leave Doris for Dexter’s mom (whose name keeps escaping me) before he found out wife was pregnant with Deb. Once Doris died Deb never really had a chance at any semblance of normalcy. Harry and Dexter had a bond and Deb was forever left out in the cold without ever really knowing why. i wonder what Harry was thinking when he woke up seran rapped to the bed with Dexter standing over him. That moment was so many kinds of surreal. Their relationship is all kinds of fucked up. I did like the moment with Dexter at Doris’s grave. Dexter saying what he needed to. He was right Doris likely did look at him like he could be good. I don’t think Dexter really had that again until Rita but that whole bowl of worms is still a bunch of years away.
  11. See that is at least something that productive with your time. A little light misdemeanor I can at least understand. Plus family felony time is good ol’ American fun.
  12. I don’t get what Jill does on all these vacations she takes. She doesn’t drink. She doesn’t dance. She can’t go to the pool in her bathing suit to swim or even just to read. Does she even read? Even at these Plexus events there is probably a good amount of (enter thing that Jill shouldn’t be doing).
  13. I think the show is trying to reiterate but with more detail that the "original sin" wasn't Dexter's but it was Harry's. Harry got too close to Dexter's mom who was supposed to just be a source. Harry adopted Dexter and left Brian to the wolves. Harry never told Dexter the truth and more then that went out of his way to keep the truth from him. There must have been plenty of times even this episode where Harry could have broached the subject which may have changed Dexter's fate. On the Deb front; we are seeing how being virtually ignored by Harry may have sent Deb in the exact other direction then we know she follows or even worse being another statistic. At this point she seems to have no interest in the police force. She even seems to resent it. It will be interesting to see that change for her.
  14. One of the people who loved season 2. It had a couple of issues but I don’t think it was even remotely bad. As a matter of fact I think the quality was even better than season 1. It just separated pairings that people (including me ) enjoyed watching. I am really looking forward to season 3
  15. Like her or not Brianna has spent some time in real world. She may dream of being a tradwife but she wants to be a middle / upper-middle class tradwife with a husband who has a job that can legitimately take care of her so if she does want to sell poison apples it is a side business for pocket money and not something that she needs to pay the light bill. Sam is likely going to work minimum wage jobs (not that there is anything wrong with that) if he works at all and move near or in with Jill and whoever lucky lady he marries will be expected to fall in line and not be the head of it. That is not really what Bri signed up for.
  16. I liked it a lot more then I thought I would but then again I am a big fan of bad guys being the protagonist of shows/movies. I thought the movie mostly worked. I liked the twist of the wife being the person who set him up. The last couple minutes weren’t needed though. I would have just preferred it end with him getting arrested
  17. Rewatching Season 1 and I am reminded about how much I really liked the Dexter/Rita relationship. It worked for me. The little moments they shared that echo'd the episode. Dexter believing he doesn't feel anything but then does the exact right thing to help Rita out. He thinks he is using her but I do think the show made a huge mistake by killer her off because (at least for me) the show lost its heart when Rita died. Part of what made Dexter (the show) interesting was Dexter (the character) emotional growth even as limited as it was. I get why the show decided to kill off Rita but It turned out to be a terrible mistake. I did however like the Lumen stuff. Her story made sense in the overall Dexter arc as well. It just ended in a way that made me think the writers wanted Dexter to me a lone wolf because they got tired of writing him with emotional growth and just wanted to write his kill scenes because they was what the loud minority enjoyed.
  18. Science Besties....I am so going to miss this show. I liked how all the storylines ended. Rutherford got rid of his cybernetics and fell back in love with the Cerritos because of that his human emotions were less clamped down on which means his feelings for Tendi were running rampid. Ransom becoming captain and Freeman ending up on Starbase 80 like her counterpart but not because she made one too many mistakes but because she did good. I really like that beside Freeman leaving there were no real major changes. We still have the group being the group. Becket and Boilmer are still friends and are on opposite sides of now Captain Ransom. The final fight scene where everyone played their parts was really well done. I am going to miss this show but on the bright side the finale was reasonably good and not going to ruin the show for me.
  19. This was never going to be to the level of Dexter at its prime. Very few prequels are. The ones that do manage to be good don't use the lead characters (like Better Call Saul) or do a shit load of retconning (Like Young Sheldon). It looks like Original sin is going with the retconning approach. That being said I like most of the characters. I am enjoying Sarah Michelle Geller and keep thinking that Buffy could so take Dexter in a fight. I do like that the original idea was to send Dexter to med school in the hopes that cutting into bodies would be enough to satisfy is dark passenger but he chose to go into law enforcement and no one though much of it because Harry was such a well liked cop.
  20. Two pip Harry Kimm as the final big bad is such a deep cut ST:Lower Decks thing to do. Damn you Two Pip Kim. Trying to take all the Lower deck Kim’s to a universe where Harry Kim’s can rank up but having the other Kim’s stop him is all kinds of Star Trek idealism. “Welcome back Kim’s” I like the idea that Mariner and Boilmer have a friendship that transcends realities. Engineer Mariner is interesting. Non adventurous until she was. All the other crew members from alternate universes were entertaining.
  21. My mom hated to cook but you know she loved us her kids and came up with a few staple meals. There are a few that would work that don’t take much effort that would work for a large family. Meat Loaf for one. It’s literally a chunk of ground beef with a couple ingredients added to it. I thought everyone had a meatloaf recipe. Mac & Cheese with those little hot dogs cut up in them. Heck even Broccoli and Vermicelli isn’t hard to make.
  22. The good old days when frantic mothers could use opium and liquor to quiet screaming babies. And you can’t forget “Mothers Little Helpers”
  23. I love how Mariner, T'lyn and Tendi all just assume Boilmer did something to get them trapped but will eventually get his shit together and fix it. Inner Light is considered by many to be TNG's best episode so explaining the plot as "This is starting to look like that time Picard got duped into thinking he was a family man by that probe." was just hilarious because that was the entire plot of the episode. But I also really liked that Mariner's entire storyline was her trying to have an entire lifetime on the planet but failing because she was trying to hard only to find her family in the jail. Tendi trying to out science T'lyn while T'lyn was just trying to spend time with Tendi is such a star fleet problem. The two not being able to communicate until they actually need to is something that actually has happened on many interactions of Star Trek. Poor Snell. There really is usually is some lurker hanging around lurking whenever star fleet goes to a primitive planet.
  24. I would prefer a life goes on approach. They are all still early in their careers so after another “yay we saved the universe” finale they all just go back to their jobs. Maybe flash forward another few years where Boimler gets his first First Officer Job and is horrified but not really that it is under Mariner and Rutherford and Tendi pop up as members of the crew. Then they get their first assignment from Admiral Freeman and off they go to adventure.
