If I am correct Tai is the only one who hasn’t straight up murdered someone. She has the other personality who maybe has but even that is unclear but “Good Tai” hasn’t murdered anyone yet. It will be interesting if Mellisa is that line she crosses. I know people dislike/Hate Shauna but she is my favorite character right now. Someone whose anger is all consuming and that anger has become the driving force behind everyone’s actions. Jeff and Callie getting high together was both funny and sad. Did not expect Van to die the way she did but it makes sense and jumps the plot forward. The adult timeline has an enemy now. This is still among my favorite shows in tv right now. Heck maybe ever. Even with the long wait times. I just hope it gets a proper ending.

The show has its problems mainly the big conspiracy doesn’t work for me. I do however like the serial killer chase and the fact that so many of them have been women. Women can be psycho murders too. I like the Beck character as well. From what I read the critics hated this but it has done fairly well in the ratings so I am hoping it gets another season. It is a fun little show

I would really like to meet the person who wouldn’t take 5 million dollars to not tell the police the location of a guy who may have possibly murdered a person you knew for a week. I would get it if they were actually friends but Belinda and Tonya knew each other for a week, Greg is a dangerous guy, and there is zero evidence that the Thailand police would have done much before Greg went to another country. I absolutely would have taken that kind of money. That kind of money would change my life and I wouldn’t look back.

“Gold Digger” is the wrong word for describing Mook. She likes Gaitak well enough but from the start of the season she wanted him to be more ambitious. That is not being a gold digger that is pushing a potential boyfriend to not settle for the easy path when you are capable of more which he did continue to show. While shooting a dude is unfortunate it did get him a job driving around a rich lady. I think both got what they wanted. Gaitak got Mook and Mook got a man who wasn’t going to be stuck at the same boring job forever. I get the girl friendship stuff. These are three ladies who bicker with each other and gossip about each other but despite what it looks like from the outside they really are friends and friendship that goes on through bad marriages and bad jobs is rare. in the end I think the Radcliffe stuff was left open ended but not really. Tim told his family that things were going to change and we see Saxon looking at his phone so he is probably looking at what is likely a thousand emails about what awaits his father when they land. Tim looks at his family and then the water and is at peace. I think that is ultimately the point. He has a good family. A strong family that ultimately loves each other and Tim realizes that everything is going to work out eventually.

I don't think Belinda is Tanya. I think she wanted to get out of Thailand as fast as possible. There was a gunfight and Greg would be fine if she died. And besides I think that might actually be the point of her story arc. It really is unfair to expect someone to plan their entire life based on what is promised on a week long vacation. The Ratliffs grew on me. I liked the conversation dad had with Lochlan and that he seemed to be the one to be fine if they lost all their money. Even Piper with all her empathy for poor people didn't actually want to be one of them. Lochlan was the most undefined of the three kids but I think that was because Piper and Saxon were always dragging him along and using him along so they wouldn't be alone. Saxon cutting off Lochlan because of the incest stuff and Piper not wanting to stay after all forced him to be alone with himself. I think all the siblings had some character development and they became my favorite story.

Also late to the party and didn’t know about the cheating scandal. On one hand good for the kids for taking the initiative and doing something interesting (not that I condone cheating even a little) and showing some signs of life. On the other hand needing to cheat on what is likely a basic math and reading test that my ten year old nephew could pass is kinda sad. Although giving any of these kids an actual high school equivalency test would be kinda fascinating.

I don’t get why people are outright wishing the show be cancelled. If you don’t like it stop watching. Hate watching tv never made any sense to me. Besides I think the season is really good in both timelines. I am really enjoying the current timeline and watching everyone’s lives self destruct. i don’t think Van is going to die. My guess is that Tai is going to kill her wife (ex-wife) as a sacrifice and Van miraculously get better. The doctors will blather on about sudden remission but Tai will believe sacrificing the woman she never loved for the woman she always loved actually worked. what I actually find the most interesting is that Misty has changed the least. She is fundamentally the same person, for better and worse,in both timelines. She is capable of great evil but it doesn’t set her off like it does the others. But Misty is also capable of going to great lengths to try and help someone she cares about in both timelines. Misty is kinda on a reverse trajectory that Shauna is on.

I keep thinking back that there was a point in the show where no one liked Callie and thought Jeff was a pleasant bore. Now they are two of the most interesting characters of the current timeline. Shauna is spinning completely out of control in both timelines which says something about why she went entirely Stepford Wiife when they got rescued. I always called her passive aggressive and that might be more right than I realized. She has two modes. Passive and aggressive and right now she is being very aggressive in both timelines.

2nd post but I would hate to live in the wilderness on Yellowjackets. I could deal with the cannibalism but the lack of television or WiFi (yes I know the time period predates it) would likely drive me to it. Also any of the ships on Battlestar Galactica. Yay female president and traveling in space would be fun but I have my needs . On The flip side I think I might enjoy living on The Orville

Reality tv is like everything else it has its trends. The big ass family with cute kids has run its course. The newest trend is finding romance in the weirdest of places. If Jill is that desperate for fame she should try to get one of her daughters to fall in love with a guy in prison. Maybe Love After Lockup or Farmer Wants a Wife will be more her speed. Heck considering the way she treats them her kids would think Survivor was a cake walk.

This season isn’t hitting me like other seasons have. I can’t explain exactly why. I know Walter Goggins is a fan favorite actor but he does nothing for me. The family story is a bit weird with the incest stuff but I don’t think it has anything to do with LGBTQ stuff except how people conflate the two even though they are completely separate issues. I am actually the most interesting in the middle brother because he is the least defined and caught between Saxton’s extreme masculinity and Piper’s perceived spirituality. It would be interesting if it was all because she doesn’t want to be like her mother who seems to only care about money.

The set up for this is interesting. I only watched the first episode so far but right now I like the concept. Telling the story of a serial killer through the perspective of his daughter who is now a wife and mother works for me. It allows the creepiness of the serial killer but doesn’t focus on him like most shows of this type do.

I really the show should drop the personal stuff. I am usually the opposite with procedurals (I need the personal stories to care about any of the main characters). but I just think the personal stuff is dragging the show down. Although I did like the personal stuff in the first season so it just might be this season getting real depressing with personal stories.

S03.E10: Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams
Chaos Theory replied to chitowngirl's topic in Will Trent
I think Will hadn’t talked to dead people since season 1. It was one of the best aspects of the show and I didn’t realize how much I missed it. It is a fun conceit for the show. And no he isn’t actually talking to dead people. I always thought it was a way to get into his thought process without a VO. -
I have been a bit behind on this show due to RL issues and just plain forgetting the day each episode drops. I was kinda hoping Coach Ben would survive through mainly because I was hoping he was the one who killed Lottie in the current timeline. But I do like that his death has been made important because he was the bridge to the girls doing something they just can’t handwave as being hungry and desperate. His death also brought the birdwatchers which will bring only bad things for them. I hope chasing down rare birds was worth it people. What do birdwatchers taste like? The adult timeline is starting to pickup steam. There is a real mystery afoot and someone knows what they did and I am curious if it is one of them or if it is another survivor who we haven’t met the adult counterpart to. I am honestly hoping there is at least one or two more suvivors in the adult timeline. I also think the reason Misty refuses to believe Walter actually loves her is because no one has loved her before. The one dude she had a crush on as a teen was gay and suicidal. She has no real friends. She is an outsider even in a group of homicidal cannibals. We saw her on an awkward date early in season 1. Her friendship with Natalie was incredibly one sided. Heck her best friend in season 1 was chained up in her basement. So Walter coming along pronouncing his love for her must be confusing for her.

I keep thinking about the old Addams Family TV show. The black and white one. I think it’s on YouTube these days. Anyway a “normal” person walks into the house and crazy begins to happen but Gomez and Morticia act like they always act and when the guests run screaming out of the house they think they are the best hosts ever. same general scenario. Guests come into Jill’s house and by the time they are running screaming out of the house Jill is convinced she has given them gods word.

What Jeremy did was stupid but also understandable stupid. When you are an honest person it really is hard to see dishonesty in the world. Jeremy has been relatively sheltered by Faith so when he decides not to go to school but instead to do the music thing he doesn’t see the criminal element or at least doesn’t think it will affect him…..until the murder. What happens to his point of view is his mother getting involved coat him his job and his song. So he doesn’t what a honest person would do. He talks man to man with his boss. This is where the understandably stupid comes in. He was likely set up on two fronts. Being blackmailed by his boss and by the cops who were looking for an excuse. Driving too slow is an excuse used by cops to pull over a car you think is dirty but need a justification. It was stupid of Jeremy ti take the package but if he didn’t he would have to start from zero without the song he wrote. plus and more importantly there would be no story

I know Angie is a controversial character especially on this board but I am glad she is dating someone e fairly normal. Both Will and Angie need to be in normal relationships. Plus I like the doctor guy. I am actually wondering more then ever if Angie’s mother is still alive and will show up eventually. It’s the exact opposite. He isn’t letting Jeremy off Scott-free. He is making him is CI to get at the guy he works for. He can’t tell Faith because Faith would do what Angie did and ruin her career for him. It’s gonna end badly between Will and Faith when she finds out but Jeremy got himself into this situation and Will is doing the only thing he can do without breaking the jaw

I actually really liked this episode and appreciated one without Remy. Then again a Hana heavy episode is usually my jam. Yes it was a little bit slower then some but I think the episode wanted to sit inside itself for awhile. We have a couple of veterans trying to get assistance being denied by red tape and one of them finally blows. I like the idea that Hana's boyfriend is going through withdrawal though the entire thing but he still manages to be helpful. The rest are there just to be audience and the guy who keeps denying the two veterans services. I would have liked to see more from him and his feelings on everything but I don't really think that is the point. It wasn't very actiony but it was a good story episode and I am glad that it looks like Hana might have some happiness in her life.

The Christopher moves to Texas storyline was handled kinda haphazardly but I don’t think any party is in the wrong. Yes Eddie is in his rights to drag Christopher back but should he? Christopher is happy and thriving where he is and it shouldn’t matter what Effie’s relationship was with his parents they are being good to Christopher. It really should be what is in the best interest of Christopher and according to Eddie’s own words that is staying in Texas.
