  1. I agree.  Two people usually get all the votes, and the #3 is left (presumably) feeling like an idiot.  However, if it's final 3, do the losing 2 both get the big money?  100K each?  If so, less of an idiot feeling, I guess.

I'd love to see an Aubry/Cydney final 2.  But, I assume that everyone is going to try to take Joe the Feeble Old Guy.

    Nooooo!  Not listening!  Lalalala!

It will remain my belief that she was given to a nice petting zoo where she will be loved and cared for.  And no one better tell me anything different. ;)

I heard it was a farm out in the country.....

The cool thing about chickens is they can make their own relatives! Probably not in time for loved ones visit though.

I think he had good strategy and a good thought to try and oust Michelle, but his execution was terrible.  And he doesn't think before he speaks at Tribal.  He just says whatever he thinks without filtering it first.  To try amd get Michelle out, I think his approach was all wrong... the way he sat in the water and just said "it has to be Michelle" was not the way to do it.  There are ways to advance your agenda and push for who you want out without looking like you are making a decree.  He got cocky because of his idol and his extra vote and he seems to think that makes him in control.

He only tried one thing.  If you really want to get someone else out, you need a whole list of strategies.  If he had really recruited Jason, and indicated that he was going to use his extra vote on Michelle, then they only needed one more vote.  That's when you make the case to the other three, separately, that Michelle is popular with the jury, has won immunity, that they can get out Jason another time, etc. etc.  Which Tai apparently didn't try.  And you don't say "It has to be Michelle,"  you say "Who do you think it should be; I was thinking Michelle because the jury likes her."

I'm just glad that they actually got rid of Jason and that Tai burned at least one of his specialty items.

This really has the best house and scenery porn ever. And this one was the best episode yet for me. I like Roper's mistress and fear she is doomed for a variety of reasons, not the least becoming a victim of Pine's machinations.

I know!  My daughter came home half way through, asked me what was happening, and I said it was too complicated to explain but that I really *neeeeed* to go to Mallorca.

I can see Jed deliberately avoiding knowing exactly what Roper does, but she should have picked up that he was likely to do a background check on her.

  5. Doyin Richards from Season 2 (of Shola and Doyin, the first identical twins to run the race), is on a Microsoft 10 commercial with his two adorable daughters.  Doesn't appear to have aged at all.

But would Brienne know that the Hound was Joffrey's personal guard?  She didn't get to KL until after the Hound had left.

Before the Hound was Joffrey's personal guard, he was Robert's personal guard.  Not too much of a stretch to think that Renly might have mentioned him.

  7. I used to watch this show, but gave it up this season.  For some reason I watched last night.

From an outsider's perspective, Alison, Laith, and Adam are in the running, Bryan and Paxton are OK, but the rest are really bad.  Especially the guy who sang first.

I agree.  I always liked TAR because it seemed more pure competition - no voting, no sabotage, just RACE.   And along the way,  We get to experience the culture of a bunch of different places.  AND - I liked observing the partners, to see how they handled stress, how they worked together and dealt with their differences.  The last few seasons have been less enjoyable for a number of reasons.  The tasks don't give enough of the "local flavor",  and sometimes the tasks are just too easy, or boring and generic.

I like TAR because of the lack of voting and that kind of strategy, but to believe that there's no sabotage is not right.  Off the top of my head, Season 1, the Guidos blocked all the other teams from getting on a flight because they hadn't gotten tickets for it and would have been eliminated.  Season 2 (?), the Gutsy Grannies slept in and no one woke them up for their departure time.  Season ?, won by the hippies - one team cancelled all the taxis ordered by the rest of the teams.  And on and on.  So, yeah, it's just RACE or RAACE or RAAAAAAACE or whatever.  But the U turn is Puuuure Evvvvvvilll.

OMG I can't believe you guys are falling for the editors with Mark.  They might not be showing him, but everyone has had nice things to say about him in their exit interviews.  Clearly his social game is a lot better than we're being shown.  He's gotten in a tight two with Tai, and yet a) nobody is making a move to break them up and b) Tai is clearly taking all the heat for their moves.  We've also seen him scratching about in the grass constantly hunting for the idol, so we know he's playing hard, and while he hasn't been a factor in the challenges so far, I think he could do very well in a hold-your-head-steady balance challenge.

I think he would have trouble in a challenge like that.  He is always jerking his head around.

I don't seem much evidence of a great social game.  Despite what they've said in exit interviews, at least two jury members, as well as some current players, have threatened to eat Mark.  If that's not a threat, I don't know what is.  It is a Survivor first.....

He may have a tight F2 alliance with Tai, but that seems as far as it goes.

  10. I don't see Mark winning this.  He's sat out most, no all, of the challenges.  He's always trying to get something to eat instead of talking strategy.  Plus the producers think so little of him that they've never shown a single of his confessionals.

But he is a lock for All Stars!

Dom's Otterbox designs. Two designs, neither of which are her PR print. Available only at Verizon for iPhone 6s and 6s+, and Samsung Galaxy 7. I like the green diamond, but my Galaxy phone is waaay too old!

The pink one looks almost identical to a case my daughter had for her iPhone for years.

On the other hand, I think I have a top (shell and jacket) in Kini's print already in my closet.  As well as a kimono in almost the identical print that my mother brought back from Japan 30 years ago.

Sam's print sucked, but the blue color was nice.

I definitely would vote for Mark for the Sprint Player of the Season. Hope he not only shows up at final tribal, but at the reunion.

At this point, I am rooting for Aubrey all the way.

At the bottom left corner of everyone's posts is a list of red icons that start with "

Click on the " and it brings up a reply box with that post quoted.  There's also +" for multi quotes.

  13. Seeing Scot glowering on the jury reminded me of another Mormon guy who got schooled by a woman and couldn't take it:  Rulon Gardner on the Biggest Loser.  He came on as their celebrity player with a friend and was doing great until they brought back a player from another season.  She had beaten everyone in a challenge where they had to drag a lot of weight and she proceeded to best Gardner at the same challenge.  He quit that night.

I think there's something in the psyche of some of these guys who go into sports, especially the manly men sports (basketball and wrestling) that just can't fathom that they would be beaten by someone smaller than them.  Scot knows that Tai, Aubry, and Cydney took him out and it's eating him alive.

    • Love 2
  14. So, next episode Aubry and Cydney go to Jason to get out Tai?  Jason is the only one left who knows how much longer the idol will work.  No one knows what the advantage is, but the idol stops working pretty soon.  I'd agree to sacrifice Joe to get Jason on board.

Scot is the bitterest bear ever.

  15. I don't think the mistress is Roper's son's mother.  But through the conversation with her mother, it seems that she has a child of her own.

As an irritable person, I loved Hiddleston's "What!" to the crowd after he beat up the guy.

From Roper and his gang's perspective, it's too big a coincidence that the guy from their hotel just happens to show up and save the kid 6 months later.

  16. I was also amused by the "It is known".  It annoyed me in the books when Jhiqui and Irri repeated it over and over but it was a nice touch to the Dothraki scene.

No love for Khal Moro and the greatest things in life?  I laughed the first time I saw it, and I counted the second time.

  17. I don't know about them being engaged, but Dana was on Say Yes to the Dress in 2013. Matt was her fiancé and she brought her father to look at dresses because he was losing his eyesight.

  18. Do women racers flirt with Phil?  Oswald and Danny flirted with him, but I don't remember any women flirting on the mat.

If Zach and Rachel were willing to walk the plank, couldn't they have actually gotten a plank?

  19. Ken and Sam are not just competing for the same big prize, they have to live together at the same time. I think Ken wanted to make his feelings known so that he wouldn't blow his stack at the wrong time. It wasn't in front of the judges, it was in the work room.

And I am quite sure that Ken has been fustrated at least once.

  20. It is official hell must have frozen over never thought I would see the day when I love Ken. For him having the balls to say what almost the entire viewing audience of this show has been thinking to Sam. I do not care if it hurt his poor little feelings he needs a good dose of reality. Isaac saving Sam and praising his work is not doing him any favors!

I was totally impressed that Ken didn't just speak his mind, he did it calmly and effectively.  Where is the old fustrated Ken of yesteryear?

What was the pointy thing on the front of Sam's "garment" supposed to be?  It went out at a 45 degree angle from the model's chest.  He does have the best model, that's one thing that's been helping him sneak through in addition to Mr. Mizrahi's support/devotion.
