In Restaurant Wars, Carl attempted to make a terrine that everyone says should take a few days to prepare and failed miserably. So now he thinks he is going to be able to make a foie gras torchon in a few hours that everyone says should take a few days to prepare. I guess Carl is not someone who learns from prior experience.

According to Gail’s blog the other diners not being served was taken into account, but Jeremy’s strong dish at lunch got him through: Tom and Padma plus all the other guest judges who hated his food. How does he explain that? Did Tom and Padma somehow poison all the other guest judges against him? Oh well, I for one am going to miss Philip. I found the contrast between his pompous pronouncements and then the stunned look on his face when the judges told him that his food sucked to be hilariously entertaining. The whole scene with the judges reacting to the waiter pulling out his cocktail from under the podium was the funniest thing I’ve seen on Top Chef in quite a while. I have a feeling that the show is going to be more boring from here on out.

I guess I have to agree with Brian on this one. If this were some suspect off the street, then fine pull the trigger, but this was a fellow FBI agent that Boyle had worked with in the past. When Casey and Boyle were partnered together taking down the ten most wanted list, it looked like they bonded somewhat, so just blowing Casey away without giving Brian a chance to talk him down seems a bit out of character, unless Boyle is supposed to be a shoot first ask questions later type which I don’t think he’s supposed to be. From Brian’s perspective, Casey was a good cop who made a bad mistake and got in over his head after being dumped by his girlfriend. He didn’t kill anyone and was just trying to get out of the building, so yeah there was a good chance that Brian could have talked him down. He was someone that Rebecca cared about at some point, so I could see why Brian might be a little annoyed with Boyle in that last scene.

Jamie has been a patrol officer for how long? And we are supposed to believe that this is the first mentally ill person that he has ever come across? Or maybe he all of a sudden started caring about mentally ill people because this one happened to be kinda hot looking :D

Yeah it was nice of the terrorists to run around in the open like that making it easier for the good guys to mow them down. So the CIA has a super secret torture chamber inside the US which is so secret the only ones who know the location are the terrorists. Methinks the CIA has a bigger worry than Jane, namely who is leaking the locations of their black op sites to terrorists. Or maybe there is no leak and the bank customers just noticed all the suspected terrorists being marched in handcuffs through the lobby. I’d like to meet the genius who thought that a bank would be the ideal spot to house a secret CIA site. What did he think would happen if the bank ever got robbed? That the NYPD and the FBI wouldn’t investigate and notice the torture chamber down in the basement?

So the shooter’s plan was to lure two officers to an empty apartment so he could shoot the third officer in the car. Because the NYPD always responds to calls with three officers, one of which they leave behind in the car. Okey Dokey. And could that reporter have been more of a walking cliche of how the Fox news types think one of the liberal media elite acts? Right down to his long hair and hipster outfit. I was surprised they didn’t show him eating tofu and berating the cops about driving gas guzzling cars. At least we got the satisfaction of Erin pointing out what an idiot Danny was for trying to get a grand jury to indict a picture. It was an improvement over last week where she could have called him an idiot for wanting to break into a house without a warrant if only he would have asked her first. Then poor Linda just got shot and has to listen to this idiotic dinner conversation about letting shooters go free to shoot again so she gets upset and asks them to stop, and gramps is like “Is there something wrong?” Is he that clueless? That was such an inane question I started laughing out loud. Maybe he should be checked for Alzheimer’s or something.

The guy in the FBI file was Rebecca's dad.

This show needs to work on its consistency. Last he week was begging his handler for NZT because the effects wear out after 12 hours and he needed it for his date that evening with his ex. This episode he is somehow on NZT when he goes out to a club, bangs a supermodel, then after she is asleep he can still chat with geniuses on the web late at night. Then the rest of the episode he’s back to bring evening dumb again.
-
Well nothing is saying Mr. Sands couldn't be on NZT himself and that's why he does Morra's bidding. Maybe the nurse is too. heh

So let me get this straight. They found the bad guy because he happened to be the only real estate agent in New York who has been arrested for assault. Riiiiight. Then Danny decides to break into the dude’s house without a warrant, which I guess he needed to do because no sane judge would issue a warrant on such flimsy evidence. “Your Honor we need a warrant to search the suspect’s house because the two victims were going to move and the suspect is a real estate agent arrested for assault.” In the last scene I was waiting for Erin or the commish to yell at Danny because all the evidence that was in the house is going to be inadmissible because he broke into the house without a warrant, but nope. Apparently this show exists in a strange parallel universe where civil rights don’t exist.

I believe the idea here is that the first clue was the only one on her body that was not encoded, it was just in a weird Chinese dialect that only Jane could decipher.

I liked how the black FBI agent asks the lady agent why she didn’t take the shot in the subway like it is perfectly normal for FBI agents to shoot unarmed suspects who have their hands in the air.

OK so you mean to tell me that a cop was torturing a black dude in the middle of a crowded hospital and there was no one there with a cell phone secretly recording it? I knew this show could be just the slightest bit unrealistic at times but now they have taken it too far.

Nice of the doc to use that little girl as a human guinea pig. "Don't give her a shot because this cure that uses a delivery system that has never been tried before was tested on lab mice so I'm positive it will work on humans. No worries."

From what I understood, the president didn’t believe that the immunes would be killing anyone. They would just segregate themselves from the non-immunes and the non-immunes would eventually die out... or some such nonsense like that - I wasn’t paying that much attention because I was having withdrawal symptoms from missing my weekly dose of military porn.

OK so I guess the Scooby gang needs to break into high school labs because, although they can afford to fly anywhere at the drop of a hat, apparently they are unable to pay for their own microscopes. Because of course the scientist guy is only going to need to use a microscope once. Brilliant plan that the Brazilians came up with to kill the bats with insecticide. Because we all know that you can kill mammals with something that was designed to be used on bugs. Right? And have they forgotten about the big game hunter from the first episode? I am still waiting impatiently for his face to be eaten by lions. Also if they could have someone edit in a line where he mentions that he is a dentist from Minnesota that would be great.

The story reason is the Nathan James had to travel an extra hour to the mouth of a river because the navigator guy said that the land around there would prevent the sub from detecting the NJ. If a landmass was blocking the sub from detecting the NJ then presumably the opposite is also true and the NJ can no longer track the sub. The real reason is they have to drag out this destroyer versus sub confrontation through the entire season or the people watching just for the military porn will start to tune out. Last season it was the NJ vs a Russian cruiser, this season it’s the NJ vs some renegade Brits in a sub. I’m calling it now, if the show is renewed, next season it will be the NJ vs a Chinese aircraft carrier :D

Why thank you Dr Wild Bill! I suffer from bad leg cramps from time to time and I didn’t know that an enema was one of the cures. I’ll have to try it next time because it seems to be highly effective - the mere mention of the procedure seemed to cure that deckhand real quick :D

I wouldn’t be too hard on Jake. That’s just the storyline the editors have chosen for him this season. Most of his whining is probably just the on-site Disco producer asking how he feels about sending his men out in a dangerous storm. I predict that they will continue to show him moping around and then Sig will come visit to give him some fatherly advice and then boom he will suddenly turn into the greatest skipper ever.

Gee I wonder if the animals are going to kill that big game hunter. The suspense is killing me.

I suspect the cop up for Gregson's job was innocent and it was Gregson's daughter that has been forging the names.

I don’t follow the comics so I may be getting this wrong, but I thought from watching previous episodes that the reason Falcone had so much power was because he had an unstoppable bald headed killing machine in his employ. Where the hell was he? Did I miss an episode where he was killed/arrested/retired to Boca? Penguin’s plan seemed a little bit flawed from the beginning. The only reason he was alive was because Falcone made a deal with Maroni to give him access to a judge. If Penguin kills Falcone first, there is nothing stopping Maroni from killing him. It appears that Penguin isn't the brightest bulb on the tree…
