Detassling involves removing the top of the plant where the tassles will later emerge. They had rows of two that you left alone to develop tassles and rows of 6 where the detassling machine carried you on little cages down the rows of 6 to pull out the tops. That way they could make hybrids. The detassling machine was mounted on a special tractor that would straddle the 2 rows to be left alone and extended 3 arms on each side with a little cage or platform on the end for you that went between the rows to be detassled. Deroguing was earlier in the season where you walked down all the rows with a hoe and chopped out any plant that looked different or deformed.

OMG, me, too! I always try to space heavy cans out and put say, eggs and bread or chips together, but they get tossed in however, with the cold items all separated. The hell, people! I sorted it for you!

Mine have Blue Buffalo for the dry, but they LIVE for that can of Fancy Feast they split each evening. FF is crack for cats, I think.

Oh, come on! That one's funny and we know it has nothing to do with butts. Although, I usually say "the ass-crack of dawn".

My favorite dumb answer was to the question, "How far did you guys go on your first date?", meaning first base, all the way, etc. The wife says, "Umm, maybe x number of miles?" (Can't remember how many she said) Husband comes back and says the same thing: that they made a road trip to somewhere about x number of miles away.

Aww, man, don't be harshing on Duluth Trading Company commercials - I love those things! And because I'm 12, I smirk at the "ballroom jeans" and lumberjack dude frolicking nekkid or swinging on a stripper pole because his underwear feels like nothing at all.

I know they frequently don't remove the scrotum because removing it would cause a larger surgical wound with all of the hazards associated with that. It will naturally shrivel up and become unnoticeable after several months. I figured that was what was happening there.

Off to see how many calories are in those cans of Fancy Feast... 65 calories in the can they just split. They also have free-grazing dry food that has 436 cal/cup. I estimate they eat close to 1/3 cup each per day. That's roughly 180 calories, maybe a bit more. Thanks, Bastet!

My Mom is the same way. She's also immune to poison ivy, but wasn't considerate enough to pass either of those traits to me.
