Agree with all this. I looked forward to this new season for a while and it really came up flat. So disappointing and surprised this is what Sally Wainwright came up with. I do look forward to Wainwright's second season of Gentleman Jack though.

Did you prefer one season over another? I love Brit series. Sundance Now streaming doesn't have a big library but I watched some really good stuff there. Some good Aussie series too.

I am shocked and surprised too! I am all in! It will be interesting to see where exactly the pick up from. I could do without any lumberjack scenarios.

Avoiding spoilers so not reading any above season 8 talk. Just saw the first ep of season 8. Really like it, this is gonna be another great season. Loving bad-ass Allie and her new look, getting Frankie vibes off her heavy black eyeliner. Boomer was cracking me up and also breaking my heart as per usual. Vera's baby is adorable. I know she was coming back but I kept on saying to myself, NO, don't say yes to that lady to come back to Wentworth!! You don't need that shit! I'm wondering how Joan got the money to get the fake passport,drivers license and such. I'm thinking someone helped her? Question- I can't remember, does anyone know Will and Marie were fooling around?

I know right?! My blood was boiling when Celia was so rude to Jillian. STFU Celia! Jillian's may be falling apart,can you just hold off remodeling your kitchen for a bit, geez! And what a beautiful new place Alan and she have now. I had no idea John lived in such an amazing house with Judith. Had no idea she was that well off. Jillian's granddaughter delivered some good lines for a little kid. Glad to have the series back. Will it be six episodes again as usual?

Me too, had to bail after a few eps but she was good. But I really thought it was Linney's year. Season 3 was her season!

When I read about the renewal I shouted YES! and did a fist pump. This show definitely deserves a second season.

OMG, have you guys seen the Season 8 trailer? It looks pretty good! It premieres in Australia on July 28, so I'm guessing early October it will be on Netflix if there are 10 eps.

I thought it was going to be Dean that shot her. I was really surprised when I saw Jess. Right there with being elated that finally Ben died. He really grated my cheese. I was waiting for a while for him to get his, couldn't stand that guy,especially when he started with the blackmail. I don't necessarily want Dean to die,(for Chloe's sake) but he definitely deserves some comeuppance. He is a scumbag.

Glad you are liking the series, it's one of my all-time favorites. I highly recommend NOT skipping at least season 3. It was really good and yet another great intense finale. Wentworth really knows how to do finales! Personally loved S4 even though it was super emotional,but still an amazing season. I really liked S5 too. Probably my least fave is S6 but that's just me. But S7 got me back on the love train again. Just curious, why are you not sure you want to watch all seven seasons? Is it too emotional? This show is high drama with tiny spots of humor thrown in but drama and emotional stuff is it's core....and I love it... but it might not be for everyone. Do you have some favorite characters mjc570? What did you think of the new warden in S2?

I loved that we got to hear Eve telling V that she stepped on(crushed?) Dasha and V said that they both took part in killing her. 🙂 The whole bridge convo was so great to watch, it was nice to hear calm and reflective talk from them,which I never expected. And no head buttings anywhere!
