  1. Seriously, a head explosion was not even on my radar, but it was spectacular! I yelled out, Holy shit! Plus the guy was a douche so it made it sweeter! Great song that followed by Echo and the Bunnymen too! Oh and the tiny hedgehog was pretty cute. I quite enjoyed this series, short and sweet. I really hope they get a second season.
  2. I like Stan too. He tries so hard. It was driving me crazy where I'd seen him before without looking it up, then I heard on a podcast he was one of the kids in the horror film It. But he also looks like a younger version of Alan Cummings. 🙂
  3. Yes, they have been great. I wasn't expecting to be crying at this show but there's at least two eps where I did.
  4. Who is that older gentleman who is always with Renee at these award shows?
  5. I'm sorry but there is no way a song like Glasgow from Wild Rose would NOT beat any one of these nominated songs! That song and performance was amazing. Just sorry everyone didn't get to see the awesome Jessie Buckley perform it at the Oscars. It should have been nominated! Grrr....
  6. proserpina65- I was coming here to post the same thing about Jessie. I definitely had more optimism for the song because she had not been nominated in other awards(except the BAFTA's, which may have given her a hometown edge which I will take) But I did have a glimmer of hope she would be a surprise nom just like that one actress from Roma last year. Oh well, I guess the film was to small to get the voters attention? I But damn that ending song was perfect. Well performed, emotional and served to tell a story of what the main character was going though. Another real shame is not getting to see Jessie perform that song at the Oscars. That would have been special. On a happier note, Glasgow did tie for a win at yesterday's Critic's Choice awards, so I was super psyched about that. But they didn't show that award given out, they just mentioned sharing the win with Rocket Man. Grrrr... would have loved to have seen Mary Steenburgen, who is one of the co-writers, get up there and get that award.
  7. He seemed high! They'll be talking about that speech tomorrow for sure
  8. I'm loving that Jodie is getting all this awards love. I think Sandra is great too of course but I love that it's just Jodiie's turn now because there was that year that Oh was nominated for everything and Comer's name could not be found which PISSED me off.
  9. Again,I would LOVE for Joey King to steal a trophy, in a year when the competition wasn't so tough I think she could but as long as Michelle Williams name is there, don't think she will unfortunately. 😞 Joey is also nominated for a G olden Globe. They tend to give newer, younger actores the award so she has a shot but damn, this list is way tough to crack I think ,especially with Kaitlyn Dever on there for Unbelievable. If anyone could take it away from Michelle Williams if would be her. but I think Joey is just as deserving. Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television 10pts Helen Mirren, Catherine the Great Michelle Williams, Fosse/Verdon Merritt Weaver, Unbelievable Kaitlyn Dever, Unbelievable Joey King, The Act
  10. Definitely the best duo of the night, their harmonies were really great. Gwen and Rose's duet was cute. My order of who I'd want to win: Katie, Rose or Jake, Ricky. Duran is talented no doubt, but my least fave.
  11. I would LOVE for Joey King to win, the competition is so tough though. But at least she got a nom. Same with Patricia.
  12. I know! I was not happy Rose didn't make the cut because she so deserved to be in the finale. I really never know how American will vote so I was a bit nervous with the save. Then they show the graphics with her running away with it and man was I happy and relieved. Ha, you could read Gwen's lips after Carson called Rose's name. "Oh thank God." I had picked all of them in the finale except Ricky. I had Hello Sunday instead, but I am satisfied with this group.
  13. Almost the same for me except...My four are Katie, Rose, Hoot and Hello Sunday. Katie and Rose are so damn good. And loved their duet. Hoot is solid and loved his duet with, man I forgot who it was...Rose? Thought that was one of the better performances from Hello Sunday, like their dancing...but not sure if they will make it. Do they have the teeny bopper votes or will it be Goodbye Sunday? Marybeth has not been impressing me lately, I remember she sounding better(she really looked like Miranda Lambert tonight)
  14. Watched the first ep, I liked it and I'm in. There was enough action and blood and..... Welcome back Ian Somerhalder! The vamp teeth are crazy but I'll deal with it.
  15. That was rough. "Taking Care of Business is not the sort of song Kat can sing with that breathy voice. I was like, what the hell?! It threw the whole song off! I think that's why Blake gave her such a big hug, He knew that song wasn't in her wheelhouse at all. I thought Myrcle was better than Shane all around, so I wished she stayed. and I am just not a WIll fan, He can go as far as I'm concerned. I quite enjoyed Gwen's performance.
  16. Jake should still be here, even though I did not really care for his last song. But I thought Gwen should have picked him.
  17. I was not pleased to say the least, who the first three judges saved, especially Kelly, but I knew she would pick Shane when she said those things right before.
  18. I thought it was a fine performance but not really worthy of standing up. I think she sounds better when she uses her full voice as opposed to that breathy voice she started with. Blake has a solid team. He usually does.
  19. They really did spend a lot of time with Todd, wasn't expecting that, definitely could have been less. The part when Jesse The Skinny Pete and Badger banter was quite funny. What good friends too. I felt better after Jesse showered. 🙂 I thought that was cheese Jesse was piling on his plate at the buffet instead of pineapple. Now I wasn't pineapple chunks. Overall I enjoyed it and was very glad it was made, but I can't say I LOVED it.
  20. Yeah, the poor guy has been through hell. Looks like he's going to have some PTSD there. I don't know if Walt makes an appearance but if he does, I would think it would be through Jessie's hallucinations or something like that.
  21. That first contestant was awesome. I was totally cracking up when Kelly realized she got Blake blocked and all the banter that ensued. Too bad Kelly didn't get her,she REALLY wanted her. I liked the second guy too. I'll have to see how much I can take of the "Blakey" talk. Oh, I don't miss Adam.
