S03.E12: Last Chance At Romance
mythoughtis replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Married At First Sight
Sam and Neil. I think he is growing on her - not sure the opposite is true. However, I think they could make it work - it would be a lot of work, but I do think they could get there. They are so quirky though and have such trouble recognizing when the other person is joking or mad or sad. I can see why Neil wasn't missing Sam - it had been one day, ONE, but he should have been enough on the ball to tell a white lie. On the other hand, I think he was touched when she was hurt, and he tried to make it up to her. As to the fishing, he said HE picked the activity, not Sam, so you can't blame Sam for that. David and Ashly - lost cause. She never tried. The experts are well aware of that - go over to the spoilers topic if you want to know more about that. If she had tried, she might have been amazed because they actually do seem a good fit. Tres and Vanessa - I can't blame him for not wanting to move forward with BUYING a house when they haven't even reached decision day yet. They should wait a couple years to buy a home. The first year of marriage is hard enough when you know each other, lots of marriages fail in that first year or two. Why bring home ownership into it? We don't know how long the leases are on either of their places, but I can see holding on to them for a while - especially if they really can't easily get out of the lease without paying a penalty anyway. Some big city apartment complexes charge you a lot of money to break your lease. Vanessa needs to quit trying to plan their entire life in the first six weeks of marriage. -
S17.E11: I Got The Power / S17.E12: The Final Cut

Erin is one of those 'artists' that think their clothing attire must be 'odd' to reflect their artistic personality. I personally do not see anything all that talented about her singing. She seems like a nice enough person, though.... based on what little we have seen on this show. Felicia must be really nice OFF camera because they all seem loyal to her. However, her on-screen personality comes thru as a whiny 'it's all about me' teenager, which I think she is barely removed from. Dolvett still seems to tip-toe around her. I agree with the other poster, Stephen should have been excited about the fact that they had a chance to take home both prizes. However, Stephen is awfully close to his goal weight (you could see it in the bone structure of his face at the last weigh-in). I don't think he's going to be able to lose enough more weight to take it. Still rooting for Colby. However, I do hope for Robertos' health that he loses some more weight. -
Marriage Boot Camp - General Discussion
mythoughtis replied to David T. Cole's topic in Marriage Boot Camp
The only thing I can figure out they are trying to say with the girls/guys night out is comparing it to a bachelor /bachelorette party. really stupid, but since what they are going for is what they got (drunk Sarah going at Sundae as if she is dessert).... With the possible exception of Ink and Sarah, these couples are way over the age of needing to partake of drunk behavior at a bar to help them decide that they want to stay married. I have yet to figure out who Sugar Bear talks into cheating with him (really, he has no teeth, no money, no nothing). I still do not believe Mama June with her ' I just wanted closure for my daughter' routine. Who does that? No Mother worth her salt that I know She wasn't lying about cheating on Sugar Bear... because they were separated (and not married, anyway) at the time. I think Catherine has to be the whiniest woman I have seen on these shows in a while. She basically wants Sean to follow her around, agree with everything she says, and kiss her you know what. She was mad because Sean joked that he didn't need a million dollars rather than profess his undying love by saying ' I wouldn't cheat on Catherine for a million dollars'. He's a guy, they joke. He was effectively saying he wouldn't cheat on Catherine. Meanwhile, Althea wants to drive Benzino mad... and I think HAS accomplished it. -
Married By Mom And Dad - General Discussion
mythoughtis replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Married By Mom And Dad
Does Emily have a twin sister? Because Emily prior to the wedding and Emily after the wedding seem like two different people. Exactly what has Mitch done to have her going on and on about trust issues, while she hasn't bothered to tell anyone she got married? Who lets their friend verbally attack their husband, even after he asks her to go shut it down. What type of friends act this way around people they have never met, people who are their friends' husband, and husbands' best friends? Christina is exactly what everyone else here has said - she wanted a wedding not a marriage. You got married, that means you sleep in the same bed and you move in together. Is Tom going to have to sic her parents on her to explain what a spouse is? John never wanted to get married. He truly hoped both girls turned his parents' down. At least he's coming clean before the wedding. -
Earth to the Grimm writers: I don't care about Black Claw any more than I cared about the Royals or the keys. I don't care about Seans' political leanings, or his love life. I like the case of the week, the spice shop, Rosalee, Monroe, Wu, Hank. Every single time a writing staff decides to go all crazy with arc themes, etc, the show jumps the shark: Sleepy Hollow and Person of interest come to mind. Please reset this show. Take Trubel, Adalind, Meisner, and even Sean (if you can't explain his presence within the Wesens), out of the equation. The case of the week was enough without all these creepy stuff you try to add into it.

MAFS Social Media, Spoilers & Speculation
mythoughtis replied to Bella's topic in Married At First Sight
Are we sure that there isn't more than 1 David Norton born in 1985 in the entire United States? Do you have any proof that this is the exact David Norton that is on MAFS? This is how peoples' lives get ruined in the day and age of the internet. -
Okay - which is it? Ashley doesn't know 'this girl'.... but yet she knows how to call her, and she describes 'this girl' to the other Ashley as 'one of my friends'. She is not interested in David, never has been. As I posted in the prior episode; put this in context. It was almost immediately after she had the expert tell David she wasn't attracted to him, and not to touch her. She couldn't name one thing she liked about David (I can say one thing I like about the checker at the grocery store). She was too exhausted to even come up with one suggestion to make it better ' I want to want (yes, she wrote both wants) to make it better......'. She was 'alone' at the party, etc. As David said, he's scrambling for someone to tell him something about Ashley as to whether she acts like this with everyone she dates. Even if he did tell someone he would ask them out for drinks.... at this point they have 9 days till decision time. He could set up a date for after that, and I wouldn't see a problem with it.

I don't think Will is in the resistance YET. I think he wants to understand how HS works, and what they know or have access to. THEN he'll join the resistance. I think Geronimo is Paul G.'s character.

In what world is Erin wearing a size 10?

Nick stopped worrying about killing Wesen way back in Season 2.... about the time he started mailing heads to the Royals in Europe.

I think Juliet's 'evilness' as a hexenbiest is all her. A hexenbiest is basically a witch, with some special facial features, right? A witch can choose to be good or bad. Just as Monroe has chosen to be good, even though his Wesen form is pretty scary. Juliette could have chosen to be good, she didn't. She CHOSE to burn the trailer, and kill (or have killed) Kelly, and to try to kill NIck. One thing I have to say about Eve is that Bitsie can actually play her. She doesn't have any facial expressions (even in the Hobbit), so she can do Eve. I actually like Treble more now. Why? Well, because she's actually portraying some of the characteristics that would have resulted from her childhood traumas. Let's have a spin-off show: Monroe, Rosalee, Hank, Wu. Bud.

In her case, there was more than life insurance. There was possibly a fire department pension and health insurance. I realize he had a 3 month long affair, but the wife told the police and the sister that they were getting a divorce. So, at least the husband had the decency to fairly quickly turn his affair situation into a separation of some sort with his wife (even if they were in the same home, they could be separated). The wife deliberately started on a road to an affair with a complete stranger on a cheating website, that went on for 4 years, and she apparently never planned on getting divorced. SInce no one else (including the other woman) knew of the wife's affair before the murder, I guess the husband (victim) didn't either? Or maybe he did, was to ashamed to tell anyone, but felt he could reciprocate without guilt?

Marriage Boot Camp - General Discussion
mythoughtis replied to David T. Cole's topic in Marriage Boot Camp
I noticed that Jim stood back much further from those paddles this time. David seems fairly competent when he does one-on-one type counseling. Ink annoys me. Let's predict what we think will happen in the finale(I have no inside knowledge, so it's not a spoiler) Sarah and Ink - split Sundae and Cedric - no clue everyone else stays together -
Part of what annoys me about Vanessa's reaction to Jenna is that Vanessa acted as if Tres was her best friend/lover/significant other for the rest of her life, and that Jenna was a hussy come to steal him. That's a lot to assume when you've never met the person, and when your husband invites the woman to a group setting rather than goes off to dinner with her by himself. Second.... she and Tres may split up IN TWO WEEKS. ... wait and see if you are going to both say 'stay together' before you start asking/demanding that he cut people out of his life. On the comment that Tres said about love being a strong word.... again the man may be gone in two weeks. I doubt the two of you have exchanged I love yous, so she should have just laughed it off.

What Ashley actually said was ' I got a call last night that you asked a woman out for drinks last weekend'. That's all we got. Now, let's look at this in context'. Last weekend would presumably have been shortly after the visit with the experts where David was told Ashley didn't like him, and not to touch her. It also would have been shortly after the couch exercise where she couldn't name 1 thing she liked about David, then couldn't write down a darn thing she wanted to do to help make their situation better ' She wanted to want to work on their situation, but she was just too exhausted and overwhelmed'. She also told him that 'things were stacked against them' in terms of continuing past 6 weeks. Now, if you had just been thru all that, and went to a bar to have a drink or to visit with friends... might YOU ask someone for their number to use after the six weeks were over?

S17.E08: Homeward Bound / S17.E09: Real World Problems
mythoughtis replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Biggest Loser [V]
The women were shown forming a good ole' girls' club alliance at the exact same time (the evening dinner/piercing event). Jackie even said during that scene that she would convince Stephen to vote with the girls. We had not seen any women vs men stuff until this week.... the first week they went to singles. It seems to me that the producers egged this on. The truth is Jackie and Stephen coordinating their votes like that puts a target on both of them because they have twice the say of everyone else. I agree this season is bad - it's a combination of Bob rather than Allison.... and the fact that all the contestants are playing a game as opposed to trying to win by losing weight. -

Luis and Felicia were neck and neck at the challenge. Felicia won. Roberta came to the finish line and made a remark to Luis that he let the weakest player get immunity. Erin took offense and the battle was on from there. Roberto apologized because he knew he was in the wrong. Why did this all of a sudden become a male vs female team battle ? both genders got the same idea, so the producers probably put them up to it. Also, FYI - could have done without the drunk female piercings Not done watching yet, but haven't seen anything that Colby has done that has been offensive . He selected a wine tasting over training on his birthday. so? It's spelled Luis but even the twins seem to pronounce it Lewis. Maybe when he was small his Anglican classmates kept mis-pronouncing it and it stuck? -
Married By Mom And Dad - General Discussion
mythoughtis replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Married By Mom And Dad
There's also the fact that someone looking for a life partner is going to discount anyone still living at home at the age of 34. First, by this age, most people (unless they have religious objections), will eventually want the 'dates' to last overnight , or talk about moving in together. If you haven't matured enough to live on your own, I'm not going to consider you marriage material. If all your money is for you to spend on whatever you want, how can you understand rent, utilities, home maintenance expense and time, budgeting, etc. If you plan an evening in with your significant other, you don't want to be tripping over parents. -
Vanessa, really, you are running home because Tres didn't go to the vet with you - meanwhile the dog is running thru the house. She's so insecure.
-
Wow. Sam and Neil appear to be having a great time. Hugs. Wow Meanwhile Vanessa is wearing green. Jealous much? Tres's feeling smothered. That first year of marriage is hard even when you know each other well. She's got to let him breathe. Ashley, Ashley, Ashley.... has she never hosted a party? The host/hostess don't get to talk to people much, they spend their time doing the food, drinks, etc. Has she never attended a party where she didn't know too many people? She is whiny, whiny, whiny

Marriage Boot Camp - General Discussion
mythoughtis replied to David T. Cole's topic in Marriage Boot Camp
The couples know. I'm sure there are hours of the day that it is turned off. Often you will see a couple drape a towel over it if they don't want to be filmed. -
My issue with Ashley is that she's not trying. She's not the only person involved, her not trying hurts David. A man who of all of the six brides/grooms is the one that is most thrilled to be married. He's giving it his all.... I know Ashley's friend said David spends time on his phone off -camera.... don't we all? Ashley was glued to hers on their honeymoon ON camera. She's got a good guy there, he's nice, got good friends, a good job..... comes home at night rather than going out. cooks. I don't know what expectations she has for a spouse, but realistically speaking, David's a good catch. I think she goes for the bad guys, and has always skipped over the others. She's not married to an actor playing a role, she's married to a real person. Possibly the only one of the six that is really wearing his heart on his sleeve and will suffer when this is all over.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
mythoughtis replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
Anyone else annoyed with the 'Beth, I hear you calling' car commercial? Were Dad and the boys going out to get milk and got sidetracked for hours? If so, seems to me that Beth wouldn't be brushing her teeth and be in a good mood when she finally hears from him.... she'd be wondering where her family was? If not, then Beth has had all day to go get her own milk. I don't need my car to text anyone, my phone is synced to it and I can hands-free dial. -
S17.E06: Ready? Set. Auction! / S17.E07: Ship Shape
mythoughtis replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Biggest Loser [V]
I have no problem with Colby admitting to voting Toy out for selfish reasons... there's a $250,000 prize on the line. Keeping Toy is dangerous to the team (and therefore Colby) because she consistently had low percentage weight loss, meaning they might be in the elimination room more often. Granted, the second week on the episode, they were in the room again, but Colby couldn't predict that. Maybe he water-boarded the first episode, or maybe he ate a little more.. However, the second episode he only lost 7. If you had immunity, maybe you'd eat an extra piece of chicken, etc. The truth is some weeks they do well, some weeks they don't. In past seasons, they have shown multiple refrigerators in the kitchen, some stocked with healthy, some not so healthy foods. The contestants pick their own food out of the refrigerators. I liked Colby's approach to the auction... I'm gonna drive up the cost so everyone else spends their money... and I can sneak in and get the big prize. Although 5 days at Atlantis for your family would be a great prize too. Jen had NO right to counsel (badger) Toy on using/not using the growing pound advantage.. Toy got eliminated on that turn of the dime. Jen doesn't get eliminated. Who would have been under the yellow line instead of Toy had she used it? Toy looked so much younger in her at home reveal than she did at the ranch. I think Colby voted for Vicky for the same reason he voted for Toy, plus he might have still thought Vicki wanted to go instead of Erin. It's a game, so I really don't get upset at who goes home, although I often like one contestant more than another. Truthfully, Toy and Vicki both did much better at home than they had been doing at the ranch. Bob is trying to wear too many hats. He's supposed to host, not also be trainer, coach, and counselor. Allison did a much better job of doing just host duties. Of course, she wasn't at the ranch every day because she had other duties. -

Rulon had hidden a cell phone somewhere on the ranch property and was caught using it. He was allowed to quietly leave for 'personal reasons'. He wasn't Mormon as far as I know.... and I've never heard any of the cast discuss their religion.
