  1. I second the notion that things improve after the Miller/Julie arc. It was my least favorite plot of the show and I was glad when it was over.
  2. If they are an offspring of Deathwatch they may have started before the Purge when Madalore was already struggling in civil war.
  3. From my understanding of the timeline the Children of the Watch were very much created during the time Mandalore was already on the path to its quasi-final destruction in the Purge. They are an apocalyptic cult and those are not known for being laid-back or big on redemption
  4. Look show, I know nostalgia is your fuel that helps you steamroll through more plot-holes than Spongebob hides in his pants, so there was absolutely NO REASON TO DESTROY MY MENTAL IMAGE OF FLUFFY FRIENDLY TRIBBLES!!! WTF?!? That is all.
  5. I think the Armorer should perform some ritual or spell on Ragnar, that boy seems to be monster-nip supreme. They could keep him in the cave but given his luck chances are a giant badger with a venomous stinger will break through the walls.
  6. They're not exactly subtle with Doctor Royce Hemlock - villain name, villain haircut. I enjoyed Tech showing some emotions during the flying lessons and Omega's joy at seeing Echo. However Pabu is in dire need of some aircraft landing security protocols. Folks just standing there and running away once the landing sequence starts is a major incident waiting to happen.
  7. Ah, but you're forgetting the tiny helmets they could sell as accessories for all the Baby Yodas already sold. And think of all the customizing: Grogu helmets in the colors of your favorite sports teams, pink helmets, flower print helmets, helmets with cool slogans, this is a merchandising beskar-mine!
  8. That's where the budget constraints are showing. Netflix throws a lot of money at this show but not quite the amount for having huge, epic battles.
  9. Me too - for the utterly insane reason that they both had glorious hair in their first scene together! Rupert might have worn a villain cape but dammit, Rebecca wore a badass coat. And so my infatuation with her wardrobe continues. I'm also in the tiny club who thinks Roy and the teacher would make a good couple. Keeley and reformed Jaimie work better for me than Keeley. Speaking of Keeley I really hope she stops floundering - the snow globe scene was great and hopefully signifies a turn-around. I see trouble ahead though - her friend's text message about using the company card for getting champagne (?) in the morning pretty much confirmed the CFO's assumptions. Wow, Roy - carrying that article around for over a decade? Doctor Sharon would have thoughts on that. I was impressed how fast he faltered once he realized Ted was not in a joking mood. Serious Ted is such a rare sight it makes even Roy Kent pause. Who's Liza???
  10. You might be right LOL! After mulling over the episode a bit longer I think we'll see the baby raptors being trained as mounts. That would give the covert some tactical advantage when the next giant critter attack plus it will provide excellent training for mythosaur riding. So far Mando's riding skills (with the Bantha in season one and the Rancor in TBOBF) were not that impressive. I wonder if the Armourer is already pondering the design of Grogu's helmet. Poor dude - from one cult with questionable ethics to the next.
  11. I was less enthused with this episode. I did not think the training session cute because I got the distinct feeling Grogu did not want to fight not because he was afraid but because he does not consider this the Way for him 🤷‍♂️ the flashbacks were heartbreaking. Seeing Bo Katan with her helmet on after we've seen her face for quite some time just brings home how much we lose when we can't see each others face - I guess that was one of the reasons we got to see her for a brief moment without helmet. Call me heartless but I envisioned a different fate for the baby raptors. Mandalorians got to eat. And now I wonder how they manage to pull that off. The group seems quite big and it does not look as if many of them are out bounty-hunting.
  12. Knight's first crush was called Eliot Spencer LOL!!! How apt - no wonder I love her so much. Decent episode, a bit heavy-handed but okay. It was nice to see Nick drop the macho act for once.
  13. That and the Captain America line were the highlights in a really enjoyable episode . A family not wallowing in drama but willing to work through troubled waters and listen to each other is a rare sight in tv land. I really appreciate the writing for Jane and Daniel, they get along but it's clear that they had to work to get where they are now. Bonus: no Whistler-Lucy drama.
  14. Yeah, well - I don't know about Jack Picard's ancestry but Ed Spleen looks increasingly like an experiment between James Norton and Simon Baker. To wit:
  15. I was thinking that at least this time Fiona's parents would get speaking parts - but nope.
  16. Roberto nibbling his pancakes was adorbs. Though I have no idea since when Magnum has a pet mouse or why.
  17. I saw Bardugo in an interview at the premiere and she mentioned that the writers had done something interesting with 'The Lives of Saints'. They picked the legend of Sankta Neyar to give the Crows a side-quest (you can read it in the Amazon preview) by letting Neyar live long enough to still be around. AFAIK it could be possible that more of the Saints still hang around. To be honest I always found that part of the Grishaverse confusing.
  18. I'd really like to see Shaw's report.
  19. "All of this has happened before. All of this will happen again." That was way too easy 😁
  20. I think there will be a Nathan redemption arc because that's standard story-telling. Nate's fairy tale isn't a fairy tale and he knows it. The moment we see him sitting alone at the diner table he always wanted, his face falling when his mother told him that his father was mad at him... I liked those subtle cracks in his supposedly perfect world. And they will get bigger.
  21. Yeah well, over there Grogu is about to get adopted into a zealot warrior cult 🤷‍♂️ All kidding aside it's a valid point and one that was addressed more than once this season - but there's no easy solution.* It was just surprising that it was raised by Phee who also had a rather amazing character overhaul this episode - or at least it felt like that to me. Omega has so far not have had much luck with good female role figures so I'm glad Phee moved away from being just an Indy version of Cid. And I also start to think she has a thing for Tech - that could get interesting. I also wonder if show intends to redeem Cid or let her go full dark side. As things stand right now she'll probably try to get the bounty the Empire puts on Omega. *There had been a good chance for that in season one when Hunter wanted Omega to stay with Cut and his family - but then we would have no show.
  22. According to Wookipeedia Coruscant has 5217 levels - the lowest habitable level being level 5.
  23. Interesting. I've always wondered how they want to approach Six of Crows when so many of the leads are missing. A spin-off would be the perfect solution. For that particular problem at least - there are others lurking when the show progresses into later books.
  24. Well, Mulgrew has a good gig over at Prodigy. I've seen interviews with her talking about the issue and she seems genuine when admitting that she screwed up. That said if Seven gets her spin-off I'd like to see -that- show finally moving away from nostalgia. He, I can dream - right?
  25. Horray for maps!!! Solid start into the season. I thought it a bit odd that Kaz would not know who Sturmhond is but that's a minor quibble. Impressed how they managed to already hint at his trauma. Inej's disappearing act was impressive but I thoroughly enjoyed her return which Kaz somehow could sense while she gave Jasper a good fright, he! Poor Mal though, first Alina gets him hot and bothered then sends him on his merry way without giving him a moment to -ahem- recover. Oh, hello Tamar and Tolya!
