  1. I was freaking out at baby Jack and the Pilgrim Rick hat, and some of the others with the hat.  I remember the Thanksgiving where there was conflict over who should wear the hat, and they were insistent that Miguel shouldn't wear it, because it was Jack's.

Thanks to John Oliver, Russel Crowe’s jockstrap and Chlamydia ridden Koalas FJ was an IG.

     ???????????

It was only recently that I found the correct pronunciation of Milne, due to the two recent movies, and I thought her pronunciation was pretty close.  I'm not sure I'd pronounce it correctly in a pinch.

For me it was obvious from the start that the younger brother killed the older brother. Why else would he have purposely had the older brother leave the room and then point the gun at him and shoot as soon as he returned. The actor playing the younger brother also did a good job of playing an emotionless kid.

The bullet was tested for fingerprints - it didn't yield any. Bull mad up the lie about sending it out of the country for testing to get the kid to confess. (Assuming that is what you mean about the bullet already being tested?).

No, I meant that they didn't test for fingerprints right away.  I knew the DNA thing was fake just to get the kid to confess.

  4. I was a bit further in before I caught on that the younger brother was the culprit.  I was surprised that the bullet hadn't already been tested for fingerprints.

Loved seeing Jack Gore (Timmy Cleary from The Kids Are Alright) and Sebastian Arcelus (Jay from Madam Secretary) as son and father tonight.

I just wish Bull and Izzy's baby storyline could turn out to be all a bad dream.  Just think it adds nothing to the show.

  5. I thought it was interesting that Gideon referred to being a prophet.  Isn't Miles already the prophet?  His podcast is called The Millennial Prophet.  So far, Miles has done a good job balancing the God Account works with the rest of his life, and I can't see that changing.

I was glad to see Trish at the Bishop Consecration.  I really hope that works out.

I felt sad for Rakesh.  Jaya could have accepted the proposal with a lengthy engagement period rather than turn him down completely.  Or ask for more time to think it over.  I get it - she's conflicted about the attitude of her parents, and her career as a doctor.  But still...

  6. I suppose I should just google this, but I still don't get what the clue is referring to: "In a 1644 letter he wrote, "We live submerged at the bottom of an ocean of air", which is what his invention measures."  What is Toricelli's invention, and what does it measure?

    A perfect week for me -- 0/5!

    Me too!

    Week 10 (ToC Week 2) 0/5

    YTD: 26/50, 4*

So I'm still above 50% for the season, but that could easily change to under 50%. 😢

Off to google Martha Stewart fitted sheets.

Eh, easy when you know how.  Martha Stewart taught me.

Honestly, yesterday I watched some YouTube videos on how to fold a fitted sheet, including two with Martha!  I had one to fold, and it didn't look as good, but still better than some of my past efforts!

  10. This show is getting few comments.  This episode was "meh" for me.  I dislike Rio's mother, but it explains a lot about Rio.

I do wonder what actual Nebraskans and farmers think.  I grew up on a farm in the midwest, so I have my own opinions.  Suspension of disbelief is required for me here!

Enjoyed Rudy's spoons.  Even now, spoon/silverware sculptures and jewelry are a thing.

Is Constance's son home on leave or out of the military?

  11. Quote

Donna springs a last-minute trip to Nebraska on Mike and Rio, which she claims is to relax; Donna steps into competitive mode to get Mike and Rio to help in the harvest; Constance's son Brandon is driving her crazy, so she pawns him off on Rudy.

I think the phone is just the convenient vehicle to emphasize that all is not right with her.

It wasn't just that she lost/misplaced her phone, it was the near panic attack when she couldn't find it.  She was starting to obsess over it, until it was found and she was able to calm down.  If anyone knows a panic attack, it's Randall, so of course he's concerned.  He did handle the concern poorly when he went to help her with the bedsheets.

Can anyone tell me what's going on with POTUS fashion?  The tie under the blouse? And they don't have to make her work hair THAT old ladyish, do they?

I'm not sure about the clothes, but I love her new hairstyles.

Instead of beeper, I said pager. I assume that's the same.

It's the same, but the category was Past Bedtime, and Alex explained, " Each response comes shortly after the word "bedtime" in the dictionary."

  15. There's a clip on facebook about the reason the TOC contestants are wearing purple ribbons.  It's a symbol for the fight against pancreatic cancer, and Alex says it's in honor/memory of Larry Martin, who died of it shortly after winning last year's Teacher's Tournament.  Also Gilbert says it's for Alex and all fighting this disease.

The larger issue with Arthur is he demonstrated he does not respect Trish as a co-equal partner.  On the hugest of issues, he chose lies of omission.  There's no overcoming that.  There is no compromise.  Trish can swallow and try to accept she is second-best to Arthur's ambition.  And yes, it is ambition, not service to mankind.  He punted that particular ethos into the East River when he quit.

This Diocese is a joke.  They just lost a Bishop to unsettled family affairs, largely due to their man's pride getting in the way of living a life of integrity and transparency.  Helloooooo, Arthur!  Did Arthur fail to communicate to them the very real promise he made to his fiancee?  Is he still keeping it from them?  Perfect Bishop material, that one.  But, something like this is absolutely something the Diocese should be digging into as a matter of course.  Arthur is a relatively new widower, quit his life's calling, and he just sold his home and got engaged.  In a very few months.  They see no red flags?!

After all this, the man still thinks this is about "balance?"  It's a very good thing he took off his collar.

It's nice to have Ray back with some realistic gifts and talent he can provide.

The Grenelle arc seems to be promising.  If Miles needs my addy to return my lost Lotto-winning ticket, let me know!

I agree with much of what you wrote, but Arthur's wife died 17 years ago (Season 1, Episode 11), so he's not a relatively new widower.

I also think he genuinely feels a calling and that he can help people of the diocese as Bishop.  There's some ambition too, but when he lost the Bishop position, it set him back and he questioned whether he still had the calling.  Much conjecture on my part, but it's how I see it.
