  1. I did. But my favorite part was Tunde and Bob in the suit shop, and Bob finding an off-the-rack jacket that now fits him! Also the two dinners, but didn't like Abishola throwing Bob under the bus as she did. Of course, she apologized to him later.

I never had a sister. My dad's two sisters got along well, but every once in a while, they'd have a spat, not speak for a day or two, but just as quickly make up. Rinse and repeat.

It was really nice to see Danny being reasonable about Joe's murderer's son, Erin wanted to punish a guy she never met for something his dad did? So unreasonable.

He lied (by omission) on his application. That's why he could have been fired.

(I know I've spelled doughnuts two different ways -- that's how the shops spell it.)

When I was in grade school, I read a book, I think it was Florida Cracker, that had a chapter about whether it should be spelled doughnut or donut. Since then, I've usually spelled it doughnut.

Attract more paying customers to their Inn? Or is that on hold for the restaurant and due to the cottage burning down?

    Gazebo, maybe??

Sorry, I was confused and mentioned an element in a different show.

Should just refer to Inn and restaurant.

Donut holes...  is Carol actually right on this?  Are donut holes made of something other than regular donut batter?  Because I'm with her... I'm not a fan of donuts, but I love donut holes.

I've made homemade doughnuts. The dough is the same. A round of the dough is cut with a biscuit cutter that also has a smaller round cutter, so you have doughnut and doughnut hole. Doughnuts can be yeast raised (like most glazed doughnuts) or cake doughnuts.image.png.af3d154ff38aedda9307315797c1548c.png

I had no idea font politics were so heated!

Did you ever watch The Middle? Youngest child, Brick, had a thing for fonts. He even started a Font Club at his school! Because of him, I learned more about fonts and found them interesting.

I think so. It used to be spelled that way and as far as I know it doesn't change the pronunciation.

I don't remember hearing it pronounced before, so I always thought the "e" was pronounced, like the "e" at tbe end of namaste.

Can someone please stop the theme song of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp from going through my mind? It hasn’t stopped since Wednesday!

Try the theme to Tombstone Territory. Mr. Zoey watches two episodes every weekday.

    "Whistle me up a memory
Whistle me back where I want to be
Whistle a tune that will carry me
    To Tombstone Territory

If your past has run afoul of the law
It's a handy place to be
cause your future's just as good as your draw
    In Tombstone Territory

    Whistle me up a memory
Whistle me back where I want to be
Whistle a tune that will carry me
    To Tombstone Territory"

  9. I didn't recognize undercover Jamie until I heard his voice.

Good season opener. The obviously fake confession worked out OK. For having had a scumbag dad, Eddie sure has a rigid moral compass. I mean, she's right, better the kid learns now, and the mother backed her up.

While it's been off the air for a couple of seasons now, the This Is Us forum used to go off the rails every now and then, mostly triggered by (character) Kate's weight issues. Randall's character getting elected to public office also brought politics into some discussions. The mods had their hands full there a few times. A show like This Is Us, which was a ratings' juggernaut, brings many demographics to the table. Clashes of opinion are more likely when the forum's population is extensive.

Interesting, but I don't remember This Is Us forum like that. There were differences of opinions, but I thought for the most part it was respectful.

  11. I had read "A Fresh Start..." and came over here to comment. Thank goodness, this, and the other topics I post/read in, didn't have any of that bad behavior that was referenced. Probably helps that I'm not that into the shows that may bring on such negativity.

Yeah, we have a great group over here, many many nice folks here!

  12. I haven't liked the most recent episodes as much as the first two episodes. Barbara/Sophie/Barbara's character keeps making faux pas and isn't helping her career much. I like Dennis but feel bad for him and his marriage. The exec Ted is a total jerk. Barbara's Aunt Marie is a piece of work.

I wonder if her mother will show up, now that Barbara is making a success, or will be a success if things clear up.

I do like her roommate, Marjorie, and her group of her feminist friends. I like her dad too. I am interested in the final episode, but if it returns, I'm not sure I'll continue watching.

  13. I missed all of you so much!

I've suggested this before but didn't carry through, but I'm going to share my main e-mail address here. I hope others might share theirs as well, so if we lose the site like we just did, we can still get in touch if we want or need to.

While I knew of Juice Newton's recording of "Angel of the Morning," the one I'm most familiar with is Merilee Rush's version. Turns out that was also a cover! The first recording was by Evie Sands, which had very limited release and did not chart.

We got to see Merilee Rush in concert with other oldies artists, including Gene Chandler, of Duke of Earl fame. Back in the 1990's!
