  1. As soon as the cameras and darkroom were mentioned, I'm thinking, find the photographic evidence!  Eventually, they did, but why did that not occur to any of them sooner?!!!

  2. Great games! Happy with Ken’s winning the the first set tonight.  The three have a camaraderie that can’t be faked, and love seeing Alex up there doing so well.

Lots of correct answers, some I knew, others, well, no.

  3. I’ve not read the novel; it came to me but then I was thinking it may have been ‘50s instead of ‘60s. I have seen the movie or parts of it several times.  That and Dr. Strangelove.

@Bliss look for “go to topic listing” at the bottom of this page to see the Jeopardy! related topics, and you should find the one for GOAT Jeopardy!

She had to supply it for him to choose it so I am fine where I placed the blame.

I also don’t find never having had a soda that unusual among people I know.

I don't know of anyone who has never had soda/pop/soft drink, though I do have one friend who no longer drinks it.

Growing up it was a rare treat.

  5. We watched it.  It was interesting.  Liked some of tidbits from the early shows, especially the first winner who was also the first contestant to buzz in with a correct response.

We don't watch Good Morning America, so not familiar with Strahan, but I thought he was fine.

  6. Well, I'm glad someone else got the Little Apple in Kansas.  Kansas is my home state, so it makes me sad it was a ts.

Like some of the rest of us, I knew Swanson's right away.  My mom worked and didn't like to cook, so the TV dinners were a staple in our house growing up.  I liked both the turkey and the fried chicken, and the mashed potatoes cooked in the foil trays.

  7. I’ve watched only three episodes, and I’m having trouble sorting it out.  Like who is the bearded professor, the one found naked in the woods with the fire and doused with wine?  Was Rob hallucinating the wolf?

There are other things, but that’s a start.

  8. Your Jeopardy! Greatest of All Time topic.

Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter and James Holzhauer -- the three biggest winners in the history of "Jeopardy!" -- will face off in a "primetime throwdown" in January on ABC.

The first of at least 3 episodes will air on ABC at 8 Eastern time, beginning Tuesday January 7.  Additional episodes will be aired if no player has won three matches.

And I didn't get FJ. I didn't even know that the clue was asking for a fraternity. I suppose Phi Beta Kappa is known for having started at William & Mary.

Phi Beta Kappa is an academic honor society.  Yes, it was founded at William & Mary.  At a Phi Beta Kappa dinner, Dr. Goodwin met Mr. Rockefeller, and the plan for restoring Colonial Williamsburg started to form.

The Shakespeare category used one of my “pet peeve” phrases - “only used once” instead of “used only once.”

Mr. Zoey & I both knew FJ.  Good for us!

Not sure if the statement from Hallmark's director of marketing is applying to the above mentioned commercial.

In reading about the commercials in the link, there are two additional; one is remembering "messy times" with an infant.  Also, a child cutting off their long hair is a big deal anyway, but to do it herself (and it looks it!) can be a bit traumatic.  Loved her short, trimmed up haircut when they are decorating the tree.

I still remember cutting my bangs; it was not pretty.  Also trimming my collie because "she looked hot."  She slunk around as if ashamed for days before the fur grew in.

I already had an ad blocker on my desktop (for other reasons), and I was able to find one that works on Safari on my iPhone, so I’ve pretty much abandoned browsing on my tablet, which I couldn’t find one for. They’ve really accomplished the opposite of what they wanted here. Now instead of seeing “polite” ads, I’m seeing none at all.

    Which app did you find?

  12. I've watched just the first hour of this episode.  I have never understood the appeal of flourless chocolate cake, and this did nothing to change my mind.

Wonder when it was filmed?  I was in England during the heat wave, late July.  No aircon, nearly unbearable for a couple of days.

I don't mind the "hosts."  I do miss Mary Berry, though.
