  1. The trailer is up for the Malkovich take on Hercule. The show will be on Amazon's streaming service. It's already airing in the UK. https://www.themarysue.com/john-malkovitch-hercule-poirot-the-abc-murders/
  2. I thought Jason was uncomfortably twitchy, he couldn't seem to get settled. I hate Bill Bailey's hair. I have always done, I expect I always will. It prevents me from liking anything about him.
  3. Others in the singalong were Eric Andre, Bellamy Young, Nico Young, and Olivia Munn. (But I thought it was Kathryn Hahn, not Ana Gasteyer, which shows how much AG is not on my radar. Fooey to me!) Deadline did this interview with Sam about getting the house.
  4. Aww, that was a swell shout-out to Chris's friend Lin Manuel Miranda, him quoting some Hamilton lyrics in the build-the-wall story: "You're gonna need Congressional approval and you don’t have the votes!" To which I rejoined from my couch, 'eh heh, heh heh!'
  5. He usually wears his hair close-cut in the ring, so that's what I'm used to. Maybe he's just grown it out? (He was funny in that Amy Schumer movie.)
  6. Mr. Wilson had lots of different families, and each didn't know about the others. Dun-dun dunnnnn. I love Dawn French's smile. It makes me smile. I also enjoyed the commitment to the punch-MBJ bit they both exhibited. I liked Cheryl's song. It reminded me of an old-skool Sheena Easton jam "Machinery." And she kept cooler sitting next to MBJ than I would have, for sure.
  7. I literally cheered in my chair when that NC republican dude asked in a snappish way, 'what, do you want us to have no voting restrictions at all?' and Chris said flat out, 'Yes. That is what I want.' THANK YOU! Say it out loud, stop letting the Rs define the debate!
  8. 'TOM-Əs'. (Heh.) Seriously, though, according to this guy, the first syllable's vowell sounds like 'egg', the second rhymes with 'pint'. So: Geh-rynt.
  9. I also think there's some side-eye at the reporters who, unwitting or not, work as McGahn's fluffers. I finally got to the Sunday night special, and it was interesting in the way that TRMS is always interesting. I was completely thrown off, however, when the first commercial break came 10 minutes in! Wait: where's the 25-minute A-block?! I guess Sunday night teevee watchers have different expectations...
  10. Yeah, there were no polite euphemisms about anything. "This is our world now, America. Not sugar-coating it anymore."
  11. I also like Art Garfunkel's cover of it from the 70s. There's your baby-making music! I think Carey's dress at the Wedding was my favorite of all the celebs' duds I saw. Up close, that embroidery was really pretty. Looking forward to that Wildlife movie; she's getting super reviews for it. His road to riches, that.
  12. Having KR play Santa is giving me weird cognitive dissonance, though. I can't help picturing him coming down the chimney, guns blazing, screaming "I'm comin' to getcha, and Hell's comin' with me!" Which isn't exactly holiday cheer? Although if you're like me, you might cheer anyway?
  13. Okay, my favorite, FAVORITE bit of the fake movie was wax-WGH getting a "Nan" tattoo. That's hardcore, my friends.

Melvin and Snitker are Managers of the year. And here I was thinking that 'snitker' was a sound you make when you sneeze...
  15. Well, I wouldn't eat it for breakfast, but I'm betting those flavors marry well...
  16. I certainly have noticed all the Scientology stuff over time, but I thought it was meant as satire, not sponcon! You know, like Jon used to do with Arby's. But hey, if COS can help balance HBOs books for the cost of those sweet-peach-butt jeans, all the better. Also, I want it down for the record that I actually gagged when that kissy-face got put on my screen. My entire alimentary canal spasmed in recoil.
  17. Bricking it generally means getting extremely nervous to the point of becoming immobile (like a brick!) and would be the cause of MM's forgetting the words rather than meaning the forgetting itself. I thought I noticed Foy had on a brooch in the poppy motif?
  18. "I'm gonna sue you, and then kick your ass!" is something I imagine would be very satisfying to say and know you could follow through on.

I heard this morning that he's scheduled to start at AAA Syracuse in the spring. Fwiw.
  20. Dana Nessel has won the MI AG race. She's the one with the 'who's not showing a penis at work?' ad that John had some fun with.
  21. The interview with the Philly DA was good, and spotlighted some really simple fixes that can at least chip away at our incarceration problem. And I admit I laughed at the description of Gritty as Elmo on meth.
  22. I feel like this is a good place for a sad trombone, right?
  23. Agreed. Strangers coming together in song never fails to get me right in the feels. Elsewhere, DTjr and squeeze are using Rachel's image in a GOTV ad. She is there, shaking a finger at the camera, representing their bogeyman "Main Stream Media"; no other reporters are featured.
