  1. Another ep, another reference to Tim's erections. Jacob Pitts is just teasing us now. I'm looking forward to Mary Steenburgen being the Big Bad next year. I'm ready for a better class of criminal.
  2. Maybe working at the store is how Miss Mardle meets Dr. Watson!
  3. He's certainly no patch on Jenny's relationship with any of the women. Wouldn't it be nice if that were the point? I don't think it is; I suspect it's just the writers all "eh, we need a Love Interest" and shoe-horning in some underdeveloped boy.
  4. After yea many years watching Iron Chef, I immediately recognized the Wagyu beef (during the prep scenes) for what it was, and wondered what cut of human it was meant to play. Ha HA! It was playing itself! Psych! Swell day job: working as an extra for one of Hannibal's parties. You gotta eat!
  5. To me, it looked like the rubble around the base of the tree was broken asphalt. Did it look like dirt to you? I'm willing to concede the point: I don't think Bentley makes backhoes.
  6. Okay, they 'explained' how the tree-victim got into the tree, but they really didn't address how the tree got into the middle of a paved parking lot. Hannibal has a backhoe?
  7. I thought Aslaug's bedtime story was a nice moment. She doesn't get a lot of character development other than as the Not-Lagertha, so: good for that. I wanted to hear the end of it: damn that kid for falling asleep!
  8. Chilton tells Gideon the dead nurse was well-liked. Afterwards, Gid goads the guards by suggesting she was a slut and that his killing her was punishment for refusing him when she basically refused no other. The guards beat him in what looks to me like a defense of her honor. I don't think therefore there was any other agent in Gideon going to the hospital other than Gideon. Perhaps he was angling a way out of his cell in response to Will's assuring him his goose was cooked while he stayed? ...And then his shank was cooked. Ah well: you pays your money, you takes your chances. (Another quibble: after taking a billy club to the choppers, I don't think Gid would be able to chew his own food.) Mads's little twinkling when he pulled the surgical mask down for Gid: hee! And, um, uh-oh.
  9. Okay, it's time I asked this: Is Jarl a title or a first name?
  10. This show is fun and addictive: Vikeodin, as it were. (without the constipation!) Best line reading of the ep: Floki's giggling/snorting "No" in response to Siggy's "Can you keep a secret?" I'm starting to 'ship Athelstan and Ecbert. The marriage of true minds admits no impediments!
  11. "Willingly" may not be quite right. Allison told Marcus they would have bought Dane out previously (she didn't say how long ago or how many times they tried), but he wouldn't sell.
  12. I say this as not a 'car-gal' (ugh), but I think the bit about the 57¢ cost of the part might have been incomplete. If you have to dismantle and rebuild an entire section of the engine in order to replace a defective part, that the defective part is cheap is beside the point. Plus, I'd wonder if doing so would be the cause of other problems popping up in the life of the car. Again, I stress that I don't actually know what-all's involved in the particulars of this recall; I'm perfectly happy to heap scorn on the GM bean-counters. And yeah, they totally brought in Mom so she could clean up the mess all the boys made. Because you know wimminfolk just love to clean, amirite?
  13. I love Peter Dinklage. He has this taciturn sardonic affect that just sends me. I'm not a GoT person, but whenever I see a clip of him in it, well, I'm tempted.
  14. Was there another guest originally planned, or was Biz always on deck? How fortuitous, given the weekend's kerfuffle. I especially appreciated when Stephen pointed out how there was no similar outcry over the Washington NFL owner's doings. I suspect that's because nobody expects better of him, but still: gah. BD Wong! Chungchung!
  15. I know she's been on several things since, but I let out an out-loud "Attia of the Julii!" when Polly Walker showed up. I love her. (Both AotJ and PW.) Yes, if you do so before puberty. I quite liked that attention to detail.
  16. Heh. Next thing you know, DaVinci will invent CGI!
  17. Elliot Cowan exudes a heady masculinity, my dearie me. Nice they could mount all those not-heavy-at-all-looking (NOT) brass bowls in about five minutes. Florentine elves, I guess.
  18. I continue to love how woman-centric this show is without being shallow or frivolous. The drama of the difficult birthing scenes never fail to make me hold my breath. I wish I could go and sit in Chummy's lap for a bit. I bet I'd feel better. About everything.
  19. [Waves] Hi! Gosh, nice to see familiar faces! I too am posting under a diff handle, but only by dropping the 'finch'. Now I'm just a lower-case prison. Or a region of Greece. Whichev. Looking forward to keeping the conversations going!

Hi! Here's a link to Vin Scully calling an earthquake. Because he is all the awesome, ever. I'm attica finch over at TWoP. I figured we're on first name basis here.
  21. I give thumbs up for clothes: Freddie's spidey-sweater, Hannibal's V-neck, and the Speedos of Doom. (Or should I say Dayum!)
