  1. Yes--I think Kody came up with the reality show idea, pitched it to his wives and Robyn (so the dating and adding 4th wife would be the main draw for the early seasons), and then they were all stuck in this dysfunctional unit because of contracts with TLC and they wanted the money/fame.
  2. Not the point. Meri posted a few years ago about a baby she lost that she believes was a son. She didn't go into a lot of details, but that's her personal story to tell, if she wants to share with the public. It is NOT a story that any of the other wives should share while giggling about it.
  3. The catfish incident probably helped keep the show going for a few more seasons.
  4. So any stories regarding Meri's pain throughout the years (infertility, miscarriages, cancer health scare, the real divorce) are fair game for Christine and/or Janelle to share?
  5. Wasn't she telling Suki about this incident because Suki asked Christine what she thought of the scene where Meri noticed Kody's new ring and commented on it? I don't think she did it to talk bad about Kody because she's talked nice about Kody on some of her other interviews (talking about how nice it was that Kody sent Valentine's good wishes to her and David). Maybe she did it to point out that Meri would notice rings because of what Kody did with the wedding ring Meri had given him.
  6. It was stated that it was for Robyn's daughter(s)--don't remember if it was for one or both of them. It was NOT for Mariah/Leon, which I view as another insult to Meri.
  7. Maybe Meri didn't want to tell the story; maybe she really is planning to write a book and wanted to tell that story in the book. It was not Christine's story to tell.
  8. It is, and I think all this attention she's now getting her is turning her into a Mean Girl. She says she won't have anything to do with Meri because Meri was "mean to me", but she thinks nothing of being mean in return, I guess because she's the golden one now.
  9. The distribution was based on household, not on how many people are in each household--or should Meri have been punished for only being able to have one child? What if she had been childless--would that mean she'd get nothing? As for the Vegas houses--it was stated repeatedly that the builder of that cul de sac did not provide any smaller sized houses--they were all generally comparable in size. The wet bar was for use for Kody's LIV water MLM business, AND those extra changes were paid for out of Meri's pocket--NOT out of "fambly funds" as discussed on the show (yet never stated on the show that Meri paid for the changes out of her money). However, all that was used by TLC to create drama on the show -- obviously succeeded since people are STILL hating on Meri for that despite the truth being written about in various forums elsewhere.
  10. Yes, after all the snarky comments tossed at Meri for having such a large and expensive rental property in Flagstaff--I believe it was mainly to appeal to Kody as "king of the castle", but in the end, even her loyalty to him and keeping a castle handy for him wouldn't persuade Kody to take her back.
  11. The divorce happened in 2014 so Kody and Robyn could marry (supposedly so Kody could adopt the 3 kids Robyn had with her first husband). The catfishing scandal happened the following year in 2015. I think the divorce and Kody's neglect were the incentives for Meri to look for something, or someone, else. She wasn't selling LulaRoe yet, either -- so she didn't even have a job to help fill her days. It'd be nice if Meri is writing a book if she'd tell more about the catfishing scandal, not just the same old TLC spin on the story.
  12. Yes, it is time for Kody to get the "gotta move" itch! Now that the OG3 are no longer paying all the bills, Kody & Robyn won't be able to keep the mansion. Plus they're behind on taxes for Coyote Pass, although the land has finally been paid off (probably by Janelle and Meri). But...will Dayton (or David, I think he prefers to be called) be moving with them in his RV camper? Funny how they made fun of Janelle's RV but have no qualms about Dayton living in a camper, as long as it's in the driveway near their house. I guess since Dayton is finished with college, it doesn't matter to Robyn about her daughters still being in college in Flagstaff--or will they transfer to UNLV? If so, maybe those 3 kids will eventually be able to break free of mama's apron strings!
  13. Really? I thought Kody was gung-ho for leaving the big city behind in favor or clear mountain air..... Now he wants to go back to the big city?
  14. I wonder whose money paid it off?? Just a guess -- Janelle and Meri. I wonder if Kody paid anything into that property (ie, from any of his gun show jobs or from selling some of his vehicles) or if he was only using TLC money that was put into the "fambly pot".
  15. Kody said in a solo talking head segment that he was done with Meri, didn't consider himself married to her any longer, and really wouldn't mind if she left and found someone else to marry. When Meri was shown that segment, that's when she realized that he essentially released her from their spiritual marriage since he already said on tv (thus, out there for all viewers to witness) that we was no longer married to Meri.
  16. But Kody HAS said it on the show that he doesn't love Meri, never loved Meri, that he didn't want to be be married to her anymore, and all sorts of other things. He never told HER to her face any of this until the 32nd anniversary "date". Plus, Meri finally saw a talking head session where Kody says all this, so NOW Meri believes Kody basically released her from their spiritual marriage by saying these things publicly--she's free to leave according to their faith.
  17. Don't forget -- with Kody, it's always been, "what's yours is mine; what's mine is mine'" -- so all the money the OG wives made and put into the "fambly pot" was really Kody's money to do with as he wanted.
  18. I certainly wouldn't fork over 25 bucks of my hard-earned money for a virtual haunted house tour, but you know there are probably some Meri fans out there who will. At least she continues to plug away at bringing in an income and doing all she can to keep her B&B's name out there to attract future customers, unlike Robyn who doesn't do any work at all (did she even work at her Sister Wives Closet online jewelry shop, or did the other 3 wives do all the work?).
  19. Does Meri share any income from her B&B? I recall she met with Kody and sister wives when she wanted to buy the B&B but THEY refused to give her any money from the family pot to use toward the purchase. So...she ended up getting funding elsewhere (I think she ratched up her lularoe business and was then able to get a loan) -- the B&B is totally Meri's property and business. Of course, she may be dumb enough to pass over funds to Kody/Robyn while trying to get back into Kody's favor.
  20. Yes, but they ARE twins, obviously not identical, but both turned 33 this year.
  21. I thought it was pretty mean what Tabatha was doing to avoid signing the divorce papers but in the end, she helped Mike prevent another divorce in his future. I don't think Mike would have been happy for long if he retired from police work. Even during the weekend getaway with Beth, Mike was trying to work out the case Sims and Chalmers were dealing with back in Brokenwood.
  22. I thought Robyn's ex-husband's name is David Jessop -- who is David Yessop? I'm confused--who is David Preston?
  23. Yes, but kudos to Frodo for trying to do right by Hercules! Loved Chalmers besting those bratty kids by using handcuffs on their bike tires, too.
  24. I wonder about that, too. Paz said Ragnar was his son, so was he by birth, or had Paz adopted him sometime in the past? In S1 Din brought his wages, after Greef Karga paid him for his bounties, to the Armorer--some for upgrades to his armor, 1 piece at a time (until the big payday he got for turning in Grogu), and said the rest was "for the foundlings". But I don't recall if any of the other Mandalorians in the covert at the time "did" anything (all bounty hunters, or some other type of work to earn money). Paz Vizla was there but I don't remember if he brought in any money for the covert, either. So, going forward--if there is indeed a S4 with the Din Clan bounty hunting for the Republic now, I wonder if they'll stop in on Mandalore on occasion and give some of their bounty/wages to the Armorer again, to help care for the foundlings. I should think many of the Mandos will need to stay on planet to help rebuild while others such as the Dins, Axe Woves and the Nite Owls, would go off doing jobs to provide funds to help with the rebuilding. I think S4 has a lot of potential for interactions with many of our favorite guest stars from previous seasons and being guests on some of the newer SW shows, all leading up to the movie where they all come together against the same enemy (Thrawn, possibly a badly scarred Moff Gideon or one of his clones if any survived?).
