  1. I have a general Kody question. When he and Meri legally divorced, did they ever do a re-commitment ceremony of any kind? I mean, the other "wives" had some sort of commitment ceremony to be "married", since he could only be legally married to one woman, who at the time was Meri. But now that Robyn is the legal wife, I wonder if he gave Meri a commitment ceremony? If not, then I should think Meri is completely divorced from Kody.
  2. This fat old lady doesn't buy/wear LulaRo clothing so I don't care what Meri's wearing or how it it fits her (I don't follow her on any social media sites, either). I do find, though, that when looking at clothes online, I can never tell what might look good on my short/round body type because all the models are tall and thin--so pictures don't help me make a shopping decision. As for the particular picture of Meri in the jeans, tee, and gold shawl, I don't think she looks that bad--compared to many of her other selfies in various LLR items--but it's also not a very flattering picture.
  3. Who cares if Meri has stumpy legs or well defined muscular legs? Is having a perfect body image now required for posting selfies on social media? That "ugly sweater" looks like a shawl.
  4. These people are used to 100+ degrees in Las Vegas, so 80 degrees feels cool to them. Give them another year and they'll be better acclimated to the climate. Same thing happened to us when we moved from Berlin, Germany (military service) to San Antonio, TX--we laughed at everyone wearing heavy coats in February while we wore short sleeve shirts. The 2nd year here, we were putting on long sleeve shirts in the winter. By the 3rd year, out came the jackets and coats because we acclimated to Texas weather.
  5. As long as my sneakers can be slip ons--count me in! This fat old lady doesn't do shoelaces anymore if I can find a better alternative!
  6. Where everyone sips from their CRS* mugs. *Can't Remember Shit Better save me a seat, too! I can barely manage Facebook--haven't a clue about the other social media sites out there!
  7. Just because some of the kids posted pictures doesn't mean ALL members of the family on the trip will be included in every picture. We already saw Meri in a pic with some of the girls; we don't have to see her in EVERY pic. Maybe Meri and Janelle are getting along and went to have lunch (perhaps included Christine?) -- or...probably not. Do we know if Kody's on this trip, or was it just the 3 non-favored wives with their not yet adult kids? Did any of the married kids go, too? (orobably not Maddie and Caleb, since they're expecting another baby)
  8. I wonder about this, too. As others noted before--Robyn appeared to have something going on with her neck. I recall a "Flip or Flop" fan contacted Tarek el Moussa about the growth spotted on his neck and it turned out to be cancer--the fan probably saved his life by getting him to have it checked out when he did. Could there be something similar going on with Robyn? Of course, it'd be ratings gold if (1) Robyn has a major health issue and (2) while pregnant again! Pure speculation of course--we have no confirmations of either situation regarding Robyn.
  9. This--I agree with you! How can this family be so spendy when they aren't keeping up with their financial responsibilities? Seems like all they do is go on vacations! Maybe I'm just jealous because I'm still working past retirement age because I can't afford to retire and definitely can't afford any spendy vacays!
  10. I'm over 66 and while agree that photo of Meri is not flattering, I don't think she looks to be over 60! More like mid-50's, which is still a 5+ years over her actual age. The girl in the background doesn't look happy--is that Ysabel, or possibly Truely? As for the Meri hate--who knows why Savannah's not in the photo? Did she go on this trip? Was she asked but chose not to go? Was she there but didn't want to be in the photo? I know many here hate Meri with a passion, but it may be that the Brown kids don't all share your feelings and some may actually enjoy spending some time with Meri.
  11. Just because on the tv show we never saw Meri indulging in any sort of creative hobbies doesn't mean she didn't have them (ie, painting these portraits of the dogs)--it just means the producers and/or Kodie didn't want to show anything that didn't specifically promote the "sister wives as one big happy family" scenario.
  12. At least that answers one question--since the help isn't a relative, I still wonder if she's paid even if there are no guests or if she gets paid only when called in to work? I think the B&B looks very nice--it's certainly not a 5-star luxury accommodation, but for a little weekend getaway-from-it-all, it looks clean and comfortable.
  13. My guess is that the "hired staff" are other family members who get paid ONLY when there's work. So if there's a weekend when there are guests, Meri's mom (Bonnie) calls in "the troops" to help her out, and since she keeps the books, she pays each person accordingly. When there are no guests, she doesn't need "the troops". Also, I think Bonnie may be more business-oriented than her daughter and she's the one managing everything (maybe she had the business plan in hand all along?) while Meri pops in on occasion to check up on things, see what she can do to help out, and maybe draw in a few visitors from fans of the show. I think the business is doing all right--not a big booming money maker, but well enough for that region. I also wonder if Meri's doing better than she's letting on to Kody so he has no idea of how much money she's making? I can imagine that if she tells the fambly she's making a good income from the B&B, Kody will want/demand it be handed over to the fambly coffers. Better to let him think it's a failing business than to let him get his hands on it and run it into the ground. Or, I could be wrong and the B&B isn't doing all that well now that the newness factor has worn off (Meri fans living nearby staying for a night or two while passing through Parowan). I personally hope she's doing well with the B&B, both for her sake and her mom's. And I hope she's making all she can from LLR while it's still afloat and she gets set up in a new gig once LLR finally crashes/burns. I also hope if there's another season we stop seeing bitchy/mopey Meri and see a happier, more confident woman moving forward.
  14. Maybe Meri said that to Kody off-camera--we don't know. However, I bet Kody/TLC producers won't allow the truth to be put out there in public. Yes--I also think this is strictly for the show. If Kody has any interest in Meri now, it's about the money she makes from LLR and the B&B (case in point--he had no interest in helping Meri acquire the B&B, but he sure showed up fast to be front and center for the grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony). Total agreement with this!
  15. For the record, Janelle was married to Meri's brother -- and once she met Kody, she went after him, divorced her husband and married Kody (spiritual marriage, not legal) -- so yes, Meri was pissed at Janelle for dumping her brother to chase after her husband. Prior to her marriage to Kody, Meri and Janelle had been friends. Secondly, Janelle said in their book, "Becoming Sister Wives" that it was deep post-partum depression that caused her to leave Kody--she'd had several kids one right after the other. and was feeling so depressed that she told Kody she'd had enough. Now I'm sure Meri's jealousy (and anger about her brother's treatment) didn't help matters but I don't believe that the meanest-baddest-nastiest-bitchiest-most hateful-oh-so-horribly-evil Meri was the sole cause of Janelle running away back then. Thirdly, one of the reasons Kody welcomed her back was because Janelle came into an inheritance, which "the fambly" used to buy their plyg house in Lehi.
  16. I really wonder why Kody was so hell-bent on buying this land so quickly. The smart thing would have been to move to Flagstaff, get temporary homes and THEN scout around for the best location to buy (either homes or land). For some reason I think they were taken advantage of by that woman who sold them that land--it was on the market for a long time with no other interested buyers--that should have been a big red flag to Kody that it might not be a smart buy. Now they're stuck with this land, no funds to build, paying out huge amounts in rentals (and one purchased home), and they can't pay the taxes--all while still stuck with most of the Vegas homes (mortgages, taxes, etc). No wonder Kody's playing nice with Meri now--she's the only one actually making an income right now and I bet he'll try to sweet talk her into handing over all her money "for the fambly".
  17. That all happened around the same time in 2015. Kody was already done with Meri, throwing all his energy into his new wife and her kids. I think Kody and Robyn pressured Meri into agreeing to the divorce and allowed her to save face by claiming it was all her idea, "for the children" on the show.
  18. Neither did I until recently when I saw something about him and Paedon finishing training in the National Guard.
  19. Actually, that's Garrison's legal first name. https://sisterwives.fandom.com/wiki/Garrison_Brown
  20. I agree, and I believe this happened right after Meri's divorce so Kody could legally marry Robyn. Also, right around the divorce Meri had that health scare--she had lost a lot of weight without trying and she had to have some scans done--her doctor thought she might have cervical cancer. I remember a lot of viewers were mad that Kody wouldn't go to the doctor with Meri--she had to face all that alone. At that time Mere was at her weakest and most vulnerable state emotionally.
  21. This is what I was thinking. Meri's evidently making a decent income from both the LLR business and the B&B, which Kody didn't think was going to be a good investment, but I noticed he had to rush over there to be front and center for the B&B's grand opening. I think Meri's ability to make money is what's really attracting Kody.
  22. I'm not sure if each a paycheck or not. According to the article in the link, they used to get about $180,000 for Kody and each wife, but to keep the show on the air, Kody offered to accept to take a big pay cut, about the salary of just 1. They may have to share that 1 salary as "family money" now, instead of the big checks they each got in earlier seasons. Could be the reason they're talking about having financial woes. https://soapdirt.com/sister-wives-kody-brown-frantic-to-stay-on-tv-offers-pay-cut-to-stay-on-air/
  23. Exactly, but assuming they build this one big house and stay in Flagstaff, when all 5 adults are facing their senior years with all the kids out of school/on their own--no wife having any kids under her roof--what will be the reasoning then for the inequality of space? Someone else posted an idea that each wife's living space should be equal with all the kids' bedrooms upstairs--then the kids are truly all together as siblings rather than relegated to their respective mother's living space.
  24. Of course it's not the trees...it was those singingk angels that only certain wives heard!
  25. He was sitting at Christine's table mowing through whatever he could drag out of the fridge. I thought Tony and Mykelti live in Utah. Are they mooching off her mom every weekend?
