  1. Late to the party but just watched the finale. Had it recorded forever and somehow I remained spoiler free. Liked the Blake tribute with all the former winners and he seemed genuinely touched by it. As much as Blake was this show he clearly was ready to move on. Multiple shots of him looking bored made this obvious. I'm in the minority here but Annoivas was not my favorite and Blake's overt bromance with him was annoying. He even looked initially pissed when Grace was first voted through. It made me more able to say goodbye to him although I would bet money he's going to turn up at some point as a mentor with Gwen as a judge. I do like that he seemed to really care about the people on his teams and I will miss his humour. Was surprised the kid got voted out so early Riley Tate (?) I thought his voice was exceptional but then that's not always what this show is about. I'm really looking forward to the next season in two weeks. Reba will be awesome although I will miss Kelly. I enjoy her energy and she provided a viable alternative for the country leaning contestants. Who will win a country artist now over Reba will be interesting. Gwen without Blake will be a different dynamic. Chance the Rapper seemed as bored as Blake at times so won't miss him.
  2. When he showed up as Bill's older brother, I felt 75. Clisby is one of my faves on this show. Kim's delivery of "five different colleges" to her mom's "ohh child" during the pregnancy reveal was the best moment in the episode I thought. The actress Laura Kariuki who plays Kim is amazing. Her timing and facial expressions are stellar. She steals scenes on this show. I will miss her the most if the series doesn't return. If it doesn't I hope she continues to work in comedy.
  3. It was terrible and distracting. I kept staring at it. The hair was so fake. I mean not even close to STNG standards. Everything has pretty much been covered so I will just mention that I liked the metaphor of Bio Bed 2 how M'Benga couldn't get it to work until he completed his mission and killed Rah. I think the bed represents him. It's fixed and working for now but it isn't going to last.
  4. Glad Bruce has made an appearance. As a kid I remember Tupperware parties and fondue parties. I do not recall a bowl with a bunch of keys in it. Thank god. 😱 😭
  5. I rewound this scene about 5 times! Mount is so good at reaction face. Sevet seems like he'd be a hoot at a party. He was more than willing to try anything Pike was throwing at him. He has to be the victim of an arranged marriage. Poor guy. I liked when and how Chapel told the other two to turn around when she was confessing her true feelings. Like they can hear you. I'm sorry but I thoroughly enjoyed this episode so much so I feel I have to apologize to the people so clearly upset by it. I'm at the just entertain me age and point in my television viewing because so little of it does now and this episode did.
  6. I have bad tinnitus in real life so not a great starting point. I found the episode slow and depressing at times but I liked the concept of living without memories good or bad. I mean I have many I'd like to forget. Glad to have Pike back. Liked the Ortegas stuff. The old guy reminded me of Ridley Scott.
  7. Binge watched Season 2 last night and....think I need a minute. Holy shit.
  8. Ya I can't. And when "Kirk" called himself Jim I'm like ya no shit. I didn't finish this episode. Bailed shortly after the car chase and encounter with alien conspiracy girl. Liked last week's episode. Will give the show one more episode, but man I'm close to pulling the chute.
  9. Just finished S2E1 after binge watching Season One on the weekend and asking myself more than once if I want to keep going. Well...the scene in this episode where Dutton's ulcer explodes because he doesn't really have cancer (?) and he's saved by a veterinarian who performs surgery in a cow medical trailer is the most ridiculous five minutes of television I've seen in a long time and I'm all in now. Bring the rest of this series on. Lol
  10. I would offer the future of network television is bleak period. I hadn't heard that this particular show was on the bubble but the summer run seems to indicate that which is unfortunate. I enjoy this show. Having said that what I do know is I will not be getting involved in any new show offerings from any of the networks this fall after the East New York debacle. Not bad enough the shows being offered now are nowhere near the quality of the 90s and early 2000s but they are being canceled for reasons that have nothing to do with viewership or lack thereof.
  11. Agreed. This really ruined an otherwise pretty stellar episode for me. And if it was just for momentary shock value as opposed to a contractual reason with the actor? Shameful. Whoever wrote this can stay on strike.
  12. I just read about the cancellation while watching the finale. Are you kidding me?! There's so little on network television worth watching and one show that is gets canceled over streaming bullshit? I hate this world.
  13. Insert season number not required. It was a carry over story arc. The ass moment that got me was when he accuses Carlos of being too "selfish" to keep and raise his daughter? I'm sorry but what? I guess Doc forgot that he was the one who encouraged Carlos to not be selfish and give up his daughter in what I thought was a very well acted touching scene. "Daddy loves you." Carlos gave up his daughter because he wanted her to have a family and up bringing that he didn’t have. Go sit in the bus Doc and shut up. Anywayyyy currently watching the Christmas episode from Season 5 and reflecting on how there aren't any holiday episodes of current network shows except for maybe The Connors because they all go into the invented fall finale bullshit. It seems amazing now when you watch older shows from back when television was worth watching and almost every show was airing new episodes right up in some cases to days before Christmas.
  14. Impressive hair as well. Forgot there actually was a time when commercials were not a cacophony of vertigo and vomit inducing perpetual motion.
  15. That whole scene was so emotional. When Fred comes to the door sees Bosco and the look he then exchanges with Faith right after the fight about her relationship with Bosco and how he affects her life most notably the Sargeant's exam. All of it. And I feel for all of them. I get Fred's anger. I get Faith's devotion to her partner. She gets Bosco on a level no one else does and did. It's deep. He didn't have that growing up and it affected him. I mean I couldn't have worked with the guy. Like I said the shows on network tv now are just not on this level.
  16. I am sitting here riveted to my TV screen watching the HLN reairing of Third Watch. WORD! Right now it's S4Epi1 It's during the blackout and Fred has had a heart attack in the elevator he and Faith were stuck in. I mean she friggin climbs up the elevator shaft, then gets the doors open, then carries him down flights of stairs as Bosco pulls up. Man it's been so long since I've been absolutely engrossed in a tv show and it's the second time around for me! The shows network television are putting out today compared to Third Watch are nothing but milktoast dipped in pablum filler for between commercials.
  17. Did not end the way I thought it would. I figured at best Frank would say take the pics down keep your job. Not keep your side gig and your job. I admit to mixed feelings on this one. If her fan base blew up like she said it did I don't see how that wouldn't interfere with her job. You would have everything from people wanting selfies to guys for real wanting to be "arrested" by her. Lol As brief as it was, I found the frat kid scene chilling. Yes he was high as a kite, but the indifference in his demeanor to what he did and the reason for it speaks volumes as to where we are right now as a society. I know this wasn't the main idea behind this storyline but this is what hit for me. Hey fellow camper.
  18. The degree to which Blake seems done with the show I'm starting to think he should have left awhile ago. I thought this season would be memorable, I'm starting to think now it's going to be forgettable.
  19. I enjoyed this episode a lot. The guys were so funny with Adriana in the mall and it was nice to see Kai able to be I don't know, not yelling at his father. I like the relationships on this series both personal and working. Everything is so negative in the world now it's nice to see a show depicting a family who are working it out. Jane and Alex are great as mentioned up thread. The Captain America line was funny. Just overall warm feeling with this episode/ show. Edited to add: The girl who recognized Jesse at the bar, kept it to herself, then clobbered the bad guy was a gem moment I didn't see coming.
  20. Wait, did I seriously just sit and watch Lionel Richie diaper a bear?
  21. Had high hopes for Blake's last season but I wasn't overly feeling this opening episode. The dynamic just seems off.
  22. Stumbled upon some speculation online when I was googling Harris the character's supposed age that the actress herself might be pregnant. Unconfirmed rumour apparently...
  23. I watched it again and again. He looks to the camera and he's just SHAKING, and he almost shrugs in disbelief. Producer asks "Are you happy?" He squeaks out "Yes." then in a firmer voice "I am happy". 😭 😭 😭 😭 My other favorite part that I rewatched was Luke's reaction the second he realizes the kid can sing. He's so genuinely happy he just starts smiling. Like in his head he was probably praying PLEASE let him be able to sing because the kid had the personality and was instantly likeable.
  24. Same! Even the Producer was worried and asked him if he was happy 😭 My worry with him is he gets overwhelmed by everything. Glad his mom is going with him. I was surprised the first singer went through. Her voice wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly good either. I think the judges were drawn in by her dad’s reaction. Her dad but also the song itself and that she had written it. The song is really good, and I always think you score some extra points especially on the opening audition if you go with an original song and it's at least decent. If her voice doesn't hold up she's an easy cut next round.
