  1. Yeah, they released this statement to cover their asses as to not get hate from social media people (who complain about virtually everything) who would start questioning "why hasn't so-and-so said anything? they are complicit!". Chris is their friend and someone they've known for a very long time, it's not surprising if they exist somewhere in the gray area of these accusations. But if they could, I'm sure they would choose to not say anything at all and stay completely out of it. But nowadays everyone has to have a comment for everything lest they be labeled part of the problem.
  2. Which reminds me, what audience snaps at a supposed comedy show? This isn't poetry slam.
  3. It was not long before she was on Matt's season of The Bachelor. She slid into Joe's DMs and they exchanged a few messages. The events of George Floyd happened summer 2020 and Michelle went and filmed The Bachelor Fall 2020. People act like they were damn-near dating and he ghosted. Not the case. He was dealing with his mental health. At the time, he wasn't beholden to Michelle. I think the whole thing was made a bigger issue than it really was, aside from Michelle's ego being bruised.
  4. The Webber Method sounds an awful lot like that retched Minnick Method from season 13… where residents perform surgery solo. It didn't work out well then, and I distinctly remember Richard being against that method of teaching. Owen's going to survive. Amelia sucks.
  5. And Miranda and Steve were all happy, kissy-kissy and he was super supportive of her career change in the second movie. Two years after reconciling on the Brooklyn Bridge. MPK is rewriting history for his new agenda. And I'm sorry, but, Cynthia didn't seem to mind playing Miranda straight in the last season of SATC and the two movies. Writing/changing a character's arc for the sake of an actor's real life is so uninspired and lazy. Acting doesn't mean playing a version of yourself on screen. Learn to separate real life from make believe.
  6. Three episodes in and the second movie is starting to look better and better. lol I'm a little bummed that this was Willie's final episode and that Stanford didn't get better material. I understand Willie wanting to keep his illness private (until he couldn't anymore, which I think by then it was far too late to film anything additional), but for his work as Stanford I kind of wish he told SJP and MPK prior to or at the start of filming so that maybe they could've written something different and filmed all of Stanford's scenes as early as possible/in advance so that they could close out his story.
  7. Michael Patrick King is a piece of shit work. Here's what he says about Miranda and Steve's marriage: via TVLine Showrunner Michael Patrick King agrees that Miranda is feeling “trapped” at this point in her life: “At the concert, she seems to be responding to the word ‘change’… and Miranda’s always been a bit of an outsider. Even within the group, she was the one who was the least successful at dating. She was the one who was the most angry at society. So Miranda’s always been somebody who went her own way.” As King points out, even Miranda’s marriage to Steve “was because she got pregnant. So we’re trying to be as bold as possible… The series has always been bold, always. Samantha had a lesbian relationship with Sonia Braga for, like, four episodes. I mean, it’s not new to explore sexuality.” Does he just not know the characters at all? Is he suffering from memory loss, or is he being purposefully obtuse? Whatever the reason, I hate this even more.
  8. No, Big's death was planned since the third movie. Timing is interesting, though. Most viewers are unhappy that they killed Big off, POOF! here's a scandal, and now people are going to say "good riddance".
  9. What does feeling like a girl even mean? There is no one way to be a girl, that's all I'm saying. Natasha was so twenty years ago. Good to see Bridget, she looks great, but continued animosity towards her after all this time seems misplaced. For a new series that is preaching "growth" ad nauseam, where's the growth in that? I don't blame her for blocking Carrie. Big's not just vaccinated, he was boosted! (I saw three lines filled out on the card)
  10. Nah, Carrie knew Big was married and therefore is also at fault. She was a willing participant having all the facts. Had Carrie not known that Big was married, then the fault would be all on Big. Yes, he's the one who broke his vows, but Carrie chose to aid in that. Close your legs to married men. - Nene Leakes.
  11. No sex in years? MPK will stop at nothing to twist and change narrative of these 20+ years established characters. A more interesting story for Miranda and Steve would've been them working to get their sexual and romantic spark back in their marriage. Lulls happen. Are we going to blame the drinking for her character-assassination and impending affair, or is the affair going to be what "cures" her? I don't care. Samantha may not be there physically, but THE Miranda Hobbes seems to be missing, too. In the divorce, I choose Steve.
  12. It also has Candace Bushnell listed as a writer and she for sure is not working on the show. I think her and Darren still get credit ($$$$) because Darren created the series off of Candace's books so there would be no this without any of that. In reality, MPK wrote episodes one and two himself.
  13. Regardless of whether or not Eve wants to return, I hope they don't kill off Brianna. Her five kids just lost their father, they shouldn't have to lose their mom, too, for a reason to write out a character. Writers can and should be better and more creative. They can easily have Bri bow out and want to move away to take care of herself and her family.
  14. I think Darren Star gets credit from being show creator but I'm almost positive he has absolutely nothing to do with this new series (and rightfully so, it shows).
  15. I think Michelle made her F1 decision easier because with Joe there's a chance she'd be more conflicted.
  16. Michelle gave Nayte what Greg wanted from Katie: I love you.
  17. This crossed my mind, too, and made me laugh. Because for all of Carrie shitting on Samantha, Samantha's so good at her job that Carrie wouldn't be doing this podcast. Also, tacky of them to glorify public masturbation and act like it's a cool, funny thing that happens. It's disgusting, not edgy.
  18. To think that tptb are reducing the backlash and bad reviews to sexism and ageism is a reach. Sure, there are trolls on Twitter with their sexist and ageist comments, but the majority of criticism and backlash is from viewers who loved the original series and justifiably aren't happy about Big's death, the pandering, and how OOC the three ladies are being. (and, yes, we're allowed to be upset that not only is there no Samantha, but how MPK chose to write her out). The core audience for this is rooted in nostalgia. There aren't going to be good feelings when you take large chunks of the show and characters we've loved for two decades and demolish it in service of this new one, maybe two, season revival series. I wish MPK and SJP stuck to the original plan which I believe was they were going to do a podcast dissecting each episode of the original series and telling behind the scenes stories, etc. (perhaps they'd even have actors on the show be special guests!) That would've been much better than what we're getting with this revival. I'd prefer Big alive and he and Carrie still together ("Me and You, Just Us Two"), Miranda and Steve going strong, as is the York-Goldenblatt family, and most importantly the true love story that is the friendship of the four ladies remaining solid as a rock.
  19. Chemistry is subjective because I certainly didn't see any. After imploding Carrie and Big, taking away Miranda and Steve would be a slap in the face. Six seasons and two movies worth of character and story development out the window because of this reboot/revival/spin-off series. If they really wanted to continue the SATC universe with And Just Like That, they should've centered it around four new women who at least one has a connection to Carrie, and Carrie could've passed the baton of sorts to the new series. SJP remains an Executive Producer of the new show, maybe every now and then we see Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda pop in as a nod to the original and maintain continuity while still preserving the characters and storylines of the original women and their happy endings with Big, Steve, Harry, and Samantha thriving in London. No animosity and broken friendships. No deaths. No affairs or divorces. Our Fab Four are good, people can enjoy the new more diverse and "woke" series, and everyone is happy. Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda...
  20. They're making Steve appear unappealing/unattractive-like so that Won't be me, though.
  21. Amelia is going to break Link's heart again for Kai… who has the personality of a wet mop. As someone who doesn't much care for Amelia, her and Link were one of the best things to come out of the past few seasons and tptb should be nurturing that not throwing it away. I like the new resident. He's competent, cute, and I like that there is someone who holds Miranda Bailey to such high regard. It's hard to believe a fool like Glasses will be his Chief Resident, though. The Minnesota Parkinson's Meredith/Nick stuff is so boring. This season isn't that good as a whole (JMO), and having Meredith be so disconnected from Seattle makes it even worse.
  22. They are giving Steve this impairment for a reason. My guess is to cause communication issues and a divide between Steve and Miranda. Steve was so sweet with Miranda in these two episodes. David is such a good actor and I hope they'll give him a bit more to do, though I realize the husbands are like ornaments on the show.
  23. Imagine the uproar if it was a man doing that to a woman in the workplace.
