  1. New location was confirmed on the pet spa's Instagram account -- and with a picture! Based on the hashtags it doesn't sound like they're filming inside. I wonder if this area of Vancouver is going to become the new Storybrook. It would lend support to the news that they packed up their Steveston storage location. Plus, if you check out the pet spa picture, I think this area could easily pass for some downtown Seattle location. (Holy crap, I missed the spoiler thread.)
  2. Saw that Eduardo Castro has announced he's leaving the show. They've hired the Pushing Daisies costume director to replace him. Should be interesting. New guy is an Emmy winner so they aren't skimping on costumes even with the change.
  3. 227 is an obscure reference? Damn I'm old. To be fair, they're pretty predictable so this just proves you've been paying attention.
  4. I see my nomination for the Land of Untold Stories made it to the final round. Yeah? And who did the Regina one for person who should be in jail? I couldn't vote for that hard enough.
  5. Holy crap, @Camera One That was a lot of philosophical crap to handle this early in the morning and it's 10am where I am.
  6. Will have to look at some of those! I gave up on a few of the longer ones -- Peace I Leave With You in particular. It just took too much time for me to try and refresh my memory between updates considering how long it took for a new chapter to show up. I couldn't do it.
  7. You'd be surprised what parents would do to get their kids into a "dream preschool" in LA. And even though kids are resilient, it would be really hard to juggle two preschools with two parents who are actors. Ginny has always seemed to be someone who put her kids before her acting ambitions so this doesn't seem that strange.
  8. But I don't think the showrunners and writers have more than a vague outline of the season. I'm assuming they will be in the office in the next few weeks to flesh it out and start writing, but I don't think they've done that yet. So the actors probably don't have more than a vague idea about what's happening next. Plus, most of the actors at the cons this weekend are not regulars so there would be no reason for them to know what's happening next. The only regular was Colin, and he's known for not letting spoilers out. Next week is the next Paris con with Lana and Robert, who doesn't give a crap about leaking stuff so we may get a bit more next week. But again, they don't have scripts yet and the writers haven't broken the season down yet so even Robert may not have alot to give.
  9. There was a fan fiction workshop? Sounds heavenly! Glad David was a good last-minute addition. I've loved him since Alias.
  10. The crazy thing is there's supposedly a bunch of conservatives who are blaming the cancellation on the fact that Tim Allen supported Trump. Seriously. And remember "all the talk" about ABC wanting to get more comedies came from one person who also had "insider information" that Once was going to get cancelled. There was never an actual story from a news organziation that ever mentioned ABC moving in that direction.
  11. Except his reason for cancelling is likely something that was known about for awhile. If he cancelled because he has the flu or surgery to fix his broken foot, that's one thing. But a baby is something that seems pretty easy to plan around several months out. JMo cancelled months ago when she took on a new project and that was even less planned in advance than the eight months you get to plan for a birth. Something seems fishy but I can't exactly place the blame. He cancelled Brazil last month and I would assume he may have cancelled other appearances at the same time. So was his management late to telling Telford? Or did Telford hold off on the news after they already had JMo cancel on them? It just all seems odd.
  12. Grimm and Hannibal have both had success recently on Friday nights. I'm glad ABC is at least pairing Once with a sci-fi/fantasy show instead of all the random other dramas they've paired it with in the past. Plus a new night is another way to signal that this is a big break from the show we used to know. One of the other good things about this move is they don't have to worry about Sunday awards shows, football or Walking Dead messing with the schedule. So let's see what happens. Sure, Friday isn't ideal, but I think this move isn't the death sentence it used to be.
  13. Sounds like Quantico may have been saved for a similar reason as Once: not ratings. Looks like the international market in this case. I can't remember past renewals relying as much on not-ratings as this year has. Seems like there are more and more shows being saved by alternative revenue steams. I guess it's a sign of just how bad Nielsen hasn't adapted to the changing market. Also interesting to note that Quantico is getting a new show runner. But this is after two seasons. If ABC is willing to do it, would they do it for another show?
  14. It's nice to see the tick up for the finale. It will be interesting to see how it compare to ratings when the show returns. But pretty decent -- looks like it at least best Miss USA.
  15. Actually, if you move to the left from Emma and go by actual face-to-face matches, Judas is Baby Neal. As I posted on tumblr, this would make sense depending on what happens to him next season. Baby Neal was named after a man who abandoned Baby Neal's orphaned sister and left her to rot in jail where she gave birth to his nephew. That has to have affect on him. Also, he would be about the same age as Joffrey from Game of Thrones. So calling it now, season 7's big bad is Baby Bagelfire. If the writers really wanted a pilot call back, I was hoping we would've had Emma leaving town only to be stopped in the road by a random pirate falling from a green light in the sky. Then you could get a call back to the pilot, that time Hook got hit by a car and their beanstalk stuff. Another missed opportunity.
  16. I wonder if they're talking about increases in other revenue steams while ratings have decreased. Adam is right -- next-day ratings are becoming archaic. Perfect example is the Variety article about how important streaming is as a factor for renewals this year. http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/upfront-2017-nbc-series-deals-blindspot-taken-blacklist-1202426084/ Then add in a few more factors. Streaming residuals were an important factor in the WGA contract again this year. "Fan reaction" was the reason Timeless got renewed. Once was a big success on iTunes with their musical episode. It seems more and more that networks aren't relying on ratings anymore because ratings aren't a reliable way to really measure an audience anymore. That all being said, A&E are either delusional a bit about what's going on or are toeing the network line. I guess you have to be extra positive when the network saving your story writing ass.
  17. I kind of feel like I get the renewal and what they'll try to do next year and will go along for the ride. It's like when you watched the Star Wars trilogy and thought it was about Luke Skywalker but then you add in the prequels and realize the story is about Anakin. So all along we thought this story was about Emma but maybe it's about Henry. I could get behind that if they don't screw up next season. My fingers are crossed for Colin at least. I'm pissed we never got a Captain Hook TLK but I'm OK with Henry breaking the curse. I loved the call backs like that this episode. Henry/Emma TLK. The Snowing kiss made me gasp with glee. The beanstalk!!!!! Like daughter, like father. Anyways, it was bittersweet but made me happy. And the ending montage was beautiful. So I'm going to view this as the end of this book. They lived happily ever after, the end. And next season is a different book both literally and figuratively. It won't be our Emma Swan story and that will be alright. I'll be OK with that and give the new show a shot. And it is a new show, not another season of this one. It'll be OK.
  18. Remember that most of the actors involved had six-year deals that were all coming up at the end of this season. For some actors, I'm sure it wasn't their decision. But considering that Josh and Ginny have kids and have asked for less screen time to spend time with their family, I'm sure it was more a situation where they told A&E they didn't want to renew, probably similar to Jen leaving.
  19. And if I remember, there was alot of "Where is Neal? Have you found Neal?" for three of those four episodes. Let's hope the losses tomorrow are treated a bit better.
  20. Well, I guess Timeless is now back on my summer binge list along with season 5 of Once, which I really need to get off my DVR.
  21. Well, the good news is you won't have to worry about suspending belief anymore. I like the concept of Henry as a character, but I'm actually glad that Jared is getting replaced. Sorry? I guess they may be finally living up to the "season 1 feel" they've been hyping all season. No hope? Emma doesn't believe? Henry is the true believer? I guess they feel this is the right way to say goodbye to Emma by bookending her story this way.
  22. AOS may be better creatively, but Once was beating it in the ratings. They are plenty of great shows that get cancelled and bad shows that get renewed, but in the end, ratings matter more than storylines. Someone mentioned the possibility of Quantico getting renewed because of the international streaming market. So Netflix may not play a role domestically as much as internationally. There seems to be quite a contingent of fans on tumblr who are from Europe and particularly Australia and Brazil for some reason. And I do wonder if there is a package deal in there -- pay money for Once and maybe other ABC properties to grease the wheels when it comes to Marvel shows on Netflix. (And btw, it looks like there's still no word on Quantico. So that one is a real bubble show and it's right on the breaking point between cancelled and renewed dramas. If that gives you an idea of how bad ABC is hurting for dramas next season.)
