  1. I just don't understand the sudden switch to do the wedding tomorrow. Just edit out the part where Emma says they'll put the wedding on hold from last week's episode and the problem is fixed.
  2. Was anyone else confused by this episode? They're in a dream and Rumple is the savior and then he's not and that's his mother's dark secret? Or is it that she made him evil or she was going to kill a bunch of kids. I don't know. For such a dark secret, you would think it would be more clear about what that dark secret is. And then what is the nonsense with Rumple helping out his mother? And they're just going to believe her killed her so yeah! Wedding! This episode was just such a mess. The Henry/Hook conversation saved the other 40 minutes of crazy nonsense.
  3. I'm wondering if some of these songs aren't actually EF flashbacks. Is it possible that Emma's wedding brings up emotions in Snow that could not only induce the singing but also perhaps transforming Granny's into a pub and making people wear their EF outfits? I wonder if that fits into the spoilers about the Charmings at the town line in EF clothes. Maybe this is a bigger set up to the Charmings leaving at the end of the season.
  4. Lana posted a picture of her with Kerry Washington filming something together for upfronts. Then add to that the screening the network is hosting with fans for the musical episode -- that's not something you do for a show you're about to cancel. As for the writers strike, a lot can happen between when their contract is up and when upfronts start. If this strike lingers, it works in Once's favor. During the strike, new shows can't start building a writers room while Once already has writers hired. So it will be much easier to get Once back up and running than a brand new comedy.
  5. That can't be the actual description for the show. Way too many errors for it to be something professionally written and released by the studio.
  6. Pancakes! Woohoo! See, writers? Look at the response you get when you add in domestic scenes instead of just plot, plot, plot. The rest was meh for me. For another week in a row, we had an overly contrived storyline that didn't seem organic.
  7. I think the princess part of this is going to get played up in the episodes leading up to the wedding, which would play into JMo's Grace Kelly explanation. We usually don't get much mention of Emma being a princess so the fact that David is making this a sticking point for the wedding planning makes me think they're making a big deal about this being a royal wedding.
  8. I actually think the Grace Kelly comparison works for Emma. She's always worn this red leather jacket and has been the girl who grew up alone. Now, she's finally let her walls down, let someone in. She's marrying someone she loves, which is something I don't think she ever expected she would have for herself. And part of that is embracing who she is. She's not a lost girl anymore. She's not a loner who has to wear her armor all the time. She IS a princess, but she's a modern-day princess who didn't grow up in the Enchanted Forest like her parents. So her dress reflects that. It's not some crazy Camelot thing. It's not full of fluff and feathers like Snow White's dress. It's classic and elegant and not over the top, which I think is a good balance between Emma's modern savior self and her princess self. There were alot of ways they could've taken this that wouldn't have worked. She's not wearing some blinged out white version of an Evil Queen dress because that's not Emma. She's not wearing a huge fluffy Cinderella dress because that's not Emma. And she's not wearing some slinky modern dress because, frankly, this isn't that kind of wedding. It's a modern fairy tale royal wedding and she's a modern princess who is wearing the dress of a modern princess.
  9. I actually love the dress -- classic modern princess and I think it looked great in the BTS photos posted so hoping the negativity from the EW photo will change once we see it in motion. But yeah, that headpiece is a bit much. I hope maybe it's just the wedding and she lets her hair down for the reception or something.
  10. Actually, a few previews were posted this week for the musical episode and Emma's dress in particular even though the episode is three episodes away. It seems they're going to be putting a bit more of a promotional push behind the Captain Swan wedding.
  11. They also didn't have a preview show before the spring premiere so maybe they're doing it now instead to rehash the season before the finale. I wonder if they're expecting an increase in viewers who need to get caught up after skipping episodes until the musical episode.
  12. I feel like this is going to translate to more than David being an ass. Like he knows the daunting task that Emma is going to face against the Black Fairy and wants to make sure her wedding is an over-the-top big ass royal party since she may die facing Gideon.
  13. They've only officially renewed their Shonda shows and most of the networks are holding back as well (aside from CBS). This is pretty typical for ABC -- aside from last year, Once's renewal has always been announced in May.
  14. I think it will be based on the beanstalk spoilers. I'm pretty sure the beanstalk is the Captain Swan truly love sapling. Just not sure how that fits in considering it's in the finale. That seems to be cutting it close.
  15. First, I really hope that Tiger Lily snuck through that portal, maybe ended up outside Snowing's apartment door and escaped in Storybrooke or something. Again, best part of this episode was the Hook adventure even if it was all rushed and got him home quick. And as others have mentioned, imagine if Emma was there with him. Ugh, would've been so good! I actually didn't mind the Snowing decision to leave Emma alone and let her be the Savior. It at least all seemed in character for both Charming and Snow, especially Snow. She had to choose between being with Emma or making sure the entire town that had stood by them for all those years would be happy. She put her own happiness aside for everyone in the town, which seems like a Snow thing to do. Plus, they found Emma in a nice looking place, not on the streets, where she actually was half the time. Of course, it would've been better if we didn't even have that stupid retcon of a flashback. I feel like a broken record, but DROP THE FLASHBACKS! Seriously, if this show gets a reboot next season, it better be without flashbacks. They're obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel with those things now. CAPTAIN SWAN PROPOSAL! I'm here for it, the second one was much much much better than the first, but it felt rushed. I wonder if this reboot they keep talking about caused them to adjust the back half of this season and rush things to get everything in before starting over.
  16. It was probably about the Galavant tangent. Weather could be a factor but yesterday was also Easter. I'm not expecting much from the ratings.
  17. I feel like that can't be it, because if it is, holy crap writers. I wouldn't necessarily mind if this was a sideways flash, like Snowing are both in a coma because of the sleeping curse and can go back to get Emma. In that case, they're balancing getting Emma early and not breaking the curse vs. Emma living her life as expected -- for better and worse -- knowing that she will have Henry and Hook in her life later. But if this is some flashback during David's original coma or something and they have this experience during the curse, there's going to need to be lots of extra drama created that won't make me happy. It will remind me very much of the egg-napping. And why do that when you could have a Hook in Neverland with Tiger Lily flashback instead? Because as others have said, the Neverland B-plot is miles ahead of anything else right now. Speaking of which, did they say they were reshooting scenes near the end of the shooting schedule starting with 6x17? I really wish that would mean perhaps that they may be adding to Hook's adventures knowing Colin is going to be back? Seriously, between Blackbeard and Tiger Lily and Ariel, Hook seems to be in a much better place having more fun than if he was still stuck in that wet blanket town of Storybrooke. Perhaps he realizes that even though he loves Emma, he still wants adventure and voila! Season 7!
  18. While that's great for them, I do have to wonder how they got those jobs. I mean, have the people at AMC not seen Once? Although the story that came from said Once was looking for new writers to fill the hole Andrew and Ian are leaving behind, so is that another sign that the show is getting renewed? Or that they are trying a reboot/reset with some fresh blood to help with the course correction?
  19. MSN is the default home page for Internet Explorer so they've got a big audience. And the story itself comes from Entertainment Weekly -- they likely have a cooperation agreement with them to provide content. Plus, the writer is a TV veteran over there. So I would put alot of faith in it even if he did call us "Onesies".
  20. Mmmm...nothing tastes quite like hearts dipped in a french fry basket.
  21. Although DS won its time slot with a 0.9 so what do you do? I mean, it's a 0.9, but that still beat out a new episode of a Criminal Minds spin off. Wow. Network TV has become a mess. Every time I see these numbers, I go back to a podcast I listened to with Lea Thompson. She talked about Caroline in the City and the show getting cancelled because of bad ratings. It was pulling a 14.0 rating. Now DS is considered a sure bet for renewal with a 0.9.
  22. I think it also just has to do with actor availability. Colin and Lana were both in an upfront video a few years ago that featured random talent from different ABC shows. But it does indicate that they're using Once in promotional material. Whether Lana gets cut is another story, but they will have it as option.
  23. If you really want to cut it dramatically close, drop dead could be day of upfronts if you're really crazy.
  24. If it gets renewed, they'll be there. For a fantasy show like Once, Comic Con is the perfect place those their promotional dollars.
  25. They haven't done that since the start of season 3. Probably a combination of slashed budget and deciding to put money in other places like Comic Con promotion or something different like that.
