A music tour needs to be planned AGES in advance so Rocker Joe knew he was going on the road, and for how long, and where. Tickets go on sale months in advance. So for everyone saying he's "running away" made no sense to me. What, because Amy wasn't with him? If he were running away he would have taken off for Canada or Mexico or anywhere other than his scheduled tour where people knew exactly where he was. I'm on his side for dumping Amy. I also can't figure why Amy was all about telling anyone she's pregnant since she's never carried any baby to term. Well, except you know she will THIS one, because drama. And meet the only hospital in the universe with no backup generators when power goes off. Even small office buildings have emergency generators. It was pretty funny that the entire wing was dark but the light was on over the kid's recovery bed. I guess it was a battery/solar/magic light.

That would have been hilarious if one of the clues was for John C. Holmes ... "This prolific actor had credited roles in 573 films ..."

WEEK 18 • Jan. 10, 2022 — THREE asterisk FOUR A* * A* 86. 19th Century Notables. On his deathbed in France in 1890, he told his brother, “The sadness will last forever.” * A* * A* 87. Broadway Musicals. Each in a show that ran more than 2 years, Ethel Merman & Sarah Jessica Parker played 2 different characters with this first name. * A* A* 88. Historic Americans. In 1838 he took a new last name, of a family in Walter Scott’s “The Lady of the Lake”; for distinction he added a 2nd “S” to the end. A* 89. The Words of Victor Hugo. This object “is the ultimate expression of law, & its name is vengeance; it is not neutral, nor does it allow us to remain neutral.” * A* 90. Cemeteries & Memorials. 60,000 are at rest in a National Memorial Cemetery opened in 1949 in the crater of an extinct volcano in this state. * A*

If Liz had just shot and killed Red like he wanted, then she got killed immediately afterward, maybe this would have been a better show. Or not. But at least the Liz storyline would be done and gone. Maybe. Ressler with his beard and shaggy hair looked just like Ronald on Big Sky.

I've never heard of CoinStar machine and, obviously, have never seen one. i had to google search to find out what everyone was talking about.

Anyone who has watched the Hawaii Five-O reboot got Friday's FJ easy peasy. Steve McGarrett went to that cemetery about every other week for nine years. Guessing none of today's three players watched that show, obviously.

From Saber to the Birthday Girl. And Happy Birthday Toothbrush, from me too! Thanks for sharing your cake with us!

4/5 no A* for me. I answered amphitheater. Our Contest Host is proud to have gotten 2/5 this week. She also wants to say to @Browncoat, do not get discouraged, it was just two weeks ago you scored a FOUR, and have gotten 4s five times so far this season while our host has never gotten a 4, one 3 is her highest this season. Although granted, she realizes she has set a low bar. A VERY low bar. I am bringing bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers, plus some bacon-less ones for people who are on restricted diets. A big side of ranch will accompany the poppers, enough to share with wing eaters. Soup sounds fantastic, and hot tea, then Baby Shark cookies for desert, although they are so adorable how can we eat them? Joe Millionaire!

WEEK 17 • Jan. 3, 2022 — ONE asterisk ONE A* 81. Sculptors. Los Angeles artist George Stanley sculpted this, first handed out at a private banquet on May 16, 1929. * A* 82. Word Origins. From the Greek for “ring”, the first ones were built by the Romans, including one that could hold 250,000. * A* 83. The 1950s. The first TV debate between presidential candidates of the same party involved him & future running mate Estes Kefauver. 84. Historic Buildings. Begun in the 1070s with stone from Caen, it was meant to dominate both a skyline & the hearts & minds of a conquered populace. 85. 20th Century Nonfiction. “Norwegian Independence Day” & “A Vast Blue Sea” are mentioned in Chapter 1 of a 1948 book by this man.

S01.E01: 2 Joes Are Better Than 1
PBnJay replied to secnarf's topic in Joe Millionaire: For Richer Or Poorer
Those botoxed lips looked exactly like the wax lips we kids used to buy at the drug store and wear to be funny. Such a bunch of trashy looking women, except for a few. Fake lips, fake boobs, hooker clothes. But maybe guys like that, what do i know. I missed the first part so don't know which is the real rich guy, but anyone who owns a huge amount of land in any state and farms has to be wealthy, although most of that money is tied up in grossly expensive equipment and bank loans. My favorite part is the bromance, I'm in it for that, forget the women. -
Yes, Alex went OTT with "Jeopardy" James. We tend to forget that Mr. Trebek had many flaws. I also think the show wants the host to talk up a big winner to get more people tuned in and Ken is being directed to say many of his comments. I've been seeing commercials touting Amy just as I saw many commercials promoting "Jeopardy" James. I'm just glad Amy doesn't have some Jeopardy nickname. Yet.

That was an interesting TS since Ken is Mormon.

Shout out today to poster @JudyObscure. Congratulations! Someone I know pre-guessed Malamute for the MAL category.

Welcome back, hope you had a good, fun and relaxing time. We recorded 1+1A* for Week 16, last week, but are missing your score for Week 15. If you posted it, would you repost please? And thank you. I'm looking forward to whatever you decide to bring to the tables. Which reminds me, I haven't thought about my contribution yet. Yipes.

Hoping Rocker Joe dumps wife Amy, and stat. Joe's mom is now my favorite character in all timelines. Hope she and that fellow get together for real. Still irritating that the son is Little Mister Perfect in all timelines. So not like a real life kid. Or real life adult. I question inviting him and his parents to Mom's recital for their very first meeting. Poor planning, anyone? The kid also appears to be clairvoyant "knowing" Rocker Joe was his real dad because he posted a song on his SM account. I'm confused that Nurse Joe and wife were separated and estranged at the beginning of the season but now that she's moved away they're all "I can't live without you." What's that about?

Try turning it on and then leaving the room until it's over. Maybe go out and have a few drinks to soothe the pain of knowing she'll eventually be back. Her commercials even squee me out now because she does the same mugging and head tilting/grinning in those as she does as a J! "host." She needs to watch some serious newscaster women (or Ken) to learn how to be a proper game-show host.

AP tweeted the story about Amy being mugged. According to AP, "Police are investigating."

He keeps going on about being nobody because he's from Missouri. I guess he doesn't know about the 33rd president of the United States.
-
So Salley was calling the guy she was suppose to marry today? Interesting that she and Clayton just met yet they know everything about each other's personalities. Just like IRL! Blame Grey's Anatomy I guess.
-
I think every woman who pronounces his name as "Clay-en" need to be sent home. Count me in as someone who doesn't find "Clay-en" the least bit attractive. I'd pass him on the street without a second look.

3/5 for me, no A*. I named every arctic explorer except Scott for Thursday, and Friday I read the clue as one of the two was "a drunk." I went through S+G, Everly Brothers, Jan + Dean and came back to S+G, although I couldn't decide which one was the drunk. I never imagined the answer would be part of a four-person group.
-
Interesting, since the consensus here is that "schoolboy" in the FJ clue meant the answer had to be a British pair.
-
Not true! The Contest Host looked up last year's scores. You got 0s in Weeks 31 and 32 but that's as far as that streak went. Plus you won Player of the Week in Week 31, which negates anything bad into good. Happy New Year from Saber!

So much this. I absolutely love him as host, such a contrast to Mayim who "acts" the same as host as she does "acting" in her "brain" commercial, playing to the camera with her head tilting and grinning. I enjoy how he makes all the interviews about the players, not about himself, and he doesn't "rub it in" when players are behind or in the hole. He's clearly supportive of everyone, something I admire. LOVE Sam and Dave! Jan and Dean, S+G, and the Everly Brothers too. Kingston Trio too, if they had been the Kingston Duo.

Merry Christmas! There were two A*s last week. The contest host has recorded your 1A*. Steeplechase was an A* but so was Friday's Mt. Everest which you got. So you now officially have the score of 4+1A* for Week 15!
