  1. I love the chicken fights. I think the animation is fantastic and all the scenarios are brilliant. They actually haven't really beaten that joke into the ground either. I enjoyed the retrospective of their fights. The joke about the family not knowing/caring was the perfect context for it.
  2. The C+C music factory gag was dumb and I laughed so hard. Did the Chicken ever talk before? The hell with him being antivaxx though. The books on tape cracked me up too.
  3. Owl orgy is the best off-joke of series to date.
  4. It seems like a lot of the coaches from college go to bad teams though. So unless you're giving him 5-7 years leeway, it's basically set up for failure.
  5. The show is almost still mid to late 80s in that sense. The only really outlandish fight was at the school because it's just preposterous that would play out so big. Had they done that at say like a end of the school year party - exact same scenario - I would buy it way better. Kids aren't going to call the cops at a party, especially if there's underage drinking. Breaking the arm was a little much too. I can sort of take the cheat that Di would have lied about how it happened to the ER, but the lack of parental involvement there is questionable. The house fight was kind of silly, but again, as soon as Daniel and Johnny found out they went right to Kreese, so I can buy that. It's also the last fight of the season. To be fair, I think they handled the aftermath of the school fight good within the show universe, so I'm interested to see how they deal with this one. Certainly, Daniel has insurance. I'm hard pressed to buy that if Kreese loses in the tournament then he'll just leave. The only way he really leaves is if he's killed for me.
  6. I thought they lived in Philadelphia? I know given the whole situation, the show should not be on the air, and Cosby should rot in jail, but the joke about their affluence was good. "I got made fun of at school because we're rich." "Who's we?"
  7. Wouldn't Frazier have banked savings from the practice in Boston before the move?
  8. No, Johnny didn't have any lease agreement. It was a 'handshake deal.' Likely Johnny paid rent in cash. Kreese did say that at the end there, and Johnny talked about the deal earlier in the season. While unlikely irl, they were consistent within the show on that.
  9. I like the show and am looking forward to the new season, but I'm just not a rewatcher with all the original content out there.
  10. I'm totally fine with Yaz joining UNIT. She's discovering her purpose by traveling with the Doctor. To be fair to her, and I don't know if this was the actual intent in the writing, but iirc Yaz was the only companion who visited her personal past with the Punjab episode. So she kind of has a different pov than the others.
  11. That's also my recollection. Coupled with her backstory, she clearly wasn't in a good place pre-Doctor. Graham had said he wanted to travel because he couldn't quite yet go home again without Grace there. I think it's great that traveling with the Doctor has allowed some healing. I really, really hope this is a trend with companions. I just can't stand the tragic endings that traveling with the Doctor likely exacts a high cost. I'd rather it be an opportunity for personal growth. I know it's a kids' show, but there's still good lessons there. I *really* want Jenny and them from Sherlock Holmes Time to meet Thirteen. They are going to love it.
  12. Not to mention certainly one of the kids did it, so no one recalled a kid alone in a car dealership.
  13. To be fair, they did the episode where Ryan's friend was struggling with mental issues last season (?), so I can see after so much that he feels like he needs to be back home. And he's still looking for strange things going on. This is really what Who is about for me. He's better for traveling with the Doctor and he's ready to do more. Donna's time with Ten essentially amounted to nothing. It was such a waste.
  14. I can watch Netflix on firefox still, but not hulu or prime video on anything. Or HBO Max.
  15. There's still room to grow here. Captain Jack's monologue wasn't anvilly but it was clearly pointed. It may be that Yaz doesn't return to Earth, but finds a new path out there (I'm thinking like Martha). Maybe she starts up UNIT! I do agree going down the path of 'in love with the Doctor-tragic ending' is just played out now. They have a chance for a much stronger and meaningful narrative that can also be learning for kids.
  16. I think that's what they were going for. That aspect of the show hasn't really been explored since they're bent on having tragic ends for the companions in the new era. Sure, Yaz was being selfish, but they've been fairly strong in their hinting she has issues. I know it's a kids' show overall, but there's some good material here to mine in that regard. I hope they don't go the route of Yaz 'I can't live without the Doctor' and give her a tragic ending.
  17. Prison Break is just so what it was. I never got tired of it.
  18. My home computer is on Vista and can still do Facebook.
  19. Holy shit, no kidding. I don't remember much from the movies at all. I wasn't in high school when the original came out so I didn't see it until later. The flashbacks help. So I assumed that Daniel somehow screwed it up with Ali anyway. I think the retcon fits the narrative of the current show anyway. Part of the show is fanservice, so it isn't a big deal fit me if they bring back other characters. On the Spade show, the reason they took so long for Ali was to fit the narrative properly, so the seem to be thinking ahead well enough.
  20. Potentially 3 games seems like a lot of wear and tear on the players. You're playing well into February at that point. You'd figure the league wouldn't schedule the games any less than a week apart.
  21. I shut off the show with a minute to go in the credits, so the ad for the Afterparty didn't pop up. You'd think they would add it to the episode list. Yeah about the outfits though. They all seemed really outgoing and upbeat. Shue was really fun. It's funny Macchio was saying the KK franchise was like Star Wars to TPTBs because they handled this franchise way better.
  22. I would have found that way ooc for Amanda. Her going to Ali - These two idiots amirite? - was exactly how I thought it would go. I suppose there's liability issue when I think about it more. A teacher popping a student during a fight in 1986 I don't think would raise much of an eyebrow. I guess my overall issue is that there seemed ample time to avoid the whole thing since the students were already in class and the teachers could have just shut the door and stood there. So I'm lumping the whole thing together. I don't know what else could have been said about them ending. He apologized and that was it. Johnny was the one who never got over her and needed that time with her now to really move on. One thing I do like about the show it that Daniel and Amanda have a good, healthy relationship. Johnny already said he is terrible at relationships, so I thought it worked fine.
