I'm so glad they didn't try to grab the cat. The pilot was so calm and did everything right, just like it's something he does every day.

DeLurker, it all started when she called my daughter's house yesterday to talk to my granddaughter. My granddaughter was opening her presents and didn't want to stop to talk on the phone. They told her to call back in 30 minutes. She never called back. The more this girl drank,in her mind it became that they refused to let her talk to my granddaughter. She's done stuff like this before while blacked out but never like the things she said last night. I would assume she's suffering with a bad hangover today. Thank you.

Mountainair, that would be rough. Like you said, usually when there's a disagreement within a family everybody can go get some space from each other. Good luck! I was harassed by my daughter's drunken sister in law last night. She sent me at least 30 texts ranting and raving about my daughter, my grandkids, everything and everybody. I barely know this person. I've met her at kid's birthday parties and things like that but we don't have a relationship. I didn't respond. I tried to be understanding. I've been sober since 12/29/95, before I got sober I did some really stupid crap. It was so hard to not go off on her but for my daughter's sake I held my tongue. I did however send her a link to the AA website.

I've never put mine in the refrigerator. I only use mine for certain cookie recipes.

I have always had a fear of bridges, a horrible panic inducing fear. I had a recurring dream when I was young, in it everybody I've ever loved in my life was on a green school bus, and the bus went over a bridge into the water. In my dream I could see all of their faces in the windows as they were drowning. Living in the Bay Area it kinda sucks having panic attacks while going over a bridge, they're everywhere out here.

I guess I just don't consider consensual sex to be "bad behavior". I don't agree with teaching kids that sex is bad behavior either.

Hearing Gunnar friggin Nelson referred to as a "heavy metal dad" cracked me up. Nothing heavy or metal about Nelson. I also laughed when he said he didn't want his career turned into a joke. Nelson has been a joke since their first song hit. Another big laugh at Gunnar being compared to Vince in terms of career. I could put Gunnar in a room with a bunch of people and nobody would know his name. Put Vince in that same room and most would know who he is. Swedee, I agree with your comment. Nelson was always a joke.

I completely disagree. I talked often with my kids about sex and I never once thought I was their friend. I never had to have "the talk" with my kids because we talked about it openly and often. Its weird to me when parents are uncomfortable talking about it with their kids.2 of my daughter's friend's moms asked me to give their kids the sex talk because they were too uncomfortable. Kids need WAAAY more information than "don't do it" or I'll hurt you. That's awful, no wonder you were afraid of your parents. I also disagree that kids should be afraid of their parents.

Vince has Motley Crue money. They've been around for a long time. I've seen them in concert in the '80s '90s and again a few years ago. I can't help it, I love Vince. He entertains me.

Why is it wrong to say somebody is too fat but it's ok to rag on skinny people? I'll never understand that. We skinny people have our weight issues too. I've been trying to put on 20 pounds just so I can get up to my ideal weight. People make fun of thin people all day but somebody says Ramona had a gut and that's wrong. Makes no sense.

I couldn't agree more. Making fun of any physical feature of another person is horrible, but especially something like a neck. It's bad when a woman does it to a woman, but it's even worse when a man does it to a woman. Then they get made fun of for having surgery to fix it.

Are you talking about when people get those huge holes in their ears? That looks so gross. When they have the ring things out their ear lives are flippity flapping all over and it's nasty looking. I'm all for doing what one wants with their bodies, I have 9 tattoos and have never regretted any of them, but the huge ear lobe thing just stumps me.

My daughter does get dangerously dehydrated. She's passed out cold more than once from being dehydrated.Before bottles, there were glasses, cups, containers, all kinds of things. You never know when you'll be stuck somewhere. My daughter thanked me for the water bottle thing when she was stuck in traffic for 4 hours on a hundred degree day.

This doesn't have much to do with dreams but has anybody ever been on the verge of falling asleep and your whole body jumps? It used to happen to me all the time.

Mine is "cool" I grew up saying everything is cool and I just can't stop! What I hate is "amazing", everything is amazing. I don't know if it still is but it was so over used for a long time.

She finally made it home. She texted me a picture of the clothes she was wearing and they were drenched. I have always told my kids that no matter where you are or where you're going, grab a bottle of water before you leave because you just never know. She thanked me today for pounding that into their heads.

My poor daughter. She had the day off today but volunteered to work so her co worker could visit her dad. She got to work at 6:00am after being up all night with my sick grandson. She got off work at noon when the co worker returned. She's driving home and there was a drive by shooting on the freeway about 2 miles before her exit. The poor thing has been stuck in traffic for the past 4 hours. Its 100 degrees here today and the air conditioning in her car is broken, they are taking it in Monday to be fixed. I feel so bad for her. I wish I could go trade places with her so she can go home.
