The in-house audience is so annoying to me because they get so sucked into the narrative and back up whatever is on their agenda. So some companies are obviously much more sensitive to this than others, I have dealt with a situation that is similar in terms of concerns re: an employee having a bad reputation, you could say. JPJ is a financial analyst for a more recently founded firm (2008). Newer firms like this with younger management see all publicity as good publicity: they really utilize the social media outlets. A financial analyst works mostly internally; isn't really dealing with the public. I would consider any negatives impacts of his TV career as pretty negligible from a staffing standpoint, honestly. He could always tell his senior leadership that he was acting under production orders, and I'm sure that if he cares about keeping his job, he cleared it with them before coming. It could be a different story if he worked for a huge old money company with older management. ...The alternative is that he wants to start a reality TV/social media career and doesn't give a shit. 😉

As someone previously in the natural sciences field, I am 100% behind you in saying that one study does not a fact make (especially with how greatly many fields have moved to what I like to call "lobby funding" where they get funding to come up with a specific result, but that's another topic entirely)... I thought that giving you a study, however, would lend more credence than my saying, "Hey JenLily, I've seen this happen a lot in my life so I think it has some merit." I saw someone being called misogynistic for the same point I posted a few weeks ago, like I said, and I stand behind the things I say. Wow, what a RIGHT REASONS viewer request. Trainwrecks make this franchise go round! 😆 But I agree that it is nice to have some Astrids and Vanessas (Nick's final pick, I recall her being very well put together) to balance out the drama and give us a little feel-good from time to time when they find "normal" relationships - or as normal as they can get on these shows.

To add in to the complaints regarding the Demi situaton - with which I wholeheartedly agree - I think this falls along the lines of the "best laid plans:" I can tell you exactly how some people will interpret this. They'll see it as reinforcing some of the negative stereotypes of bisexuals: "look how indecisive she was, she strung them both along because she doesn't know what she wants," "I guess bisexuals can't have committed relationships or else she wouldn't have been on BiP when dating someone else," etc. Bachelor franchise thought they were being inclusive, but seem to me to have done it in a bad way. Demi isn't the person to use for this.
