  1. Helen & Thelma Lou were both stupidly jealous...it shows up awful in "Return of the Fun Girls". Helen always realizes after that she's being ridiculous, but it never stops her from doing it again...
  2. I think her skin is beautiful. Whoever does her makeup should get a prize.
  3. Ava is lovely...and a TCC makeover will put her over the top...stay tuned
  4. Perhaps dance buddies & sorority sisters. I can perhaps come up with maybe 1/2 a dozen (after my sister & favorite cousin), but I'm not into those big 'precious' displays. First wedding was sister, cousin & new sister-in-law...2nd wedding was new sister-in-law (new mother-in-law was 'best man'...9 people present, including the minister & photographer...it was perfect.
  5. Keep in mind Victoria's account was hacked fairly recently. She may be understandably leery about putting any info out there right now.
  6. Brilliant voice over actress Janet Waldo was the voice of Aunt Bee in RTM...
  7. It does have some cute moments, but the undignified treatment toward the Darling family just ruined everything for me.
  8. Thank you PhoebeKelly1992! Quite a blast from the past.... And I miss Jay's boot camps. He is quite inspiring. During some downtime while in the Navy my son was put in charge of a 'fat' camp. They were submariners who were at risk for discharge due to weight...They hated him...until the results started to show. 5 days a week...5 different daily activities. He participated along with them (kept the mutinous thoughts from surfacing)...he's a world class runner, very strong & fit...1) 10 mile run (timed) 2) 2 mile swim 2) basketball 3) water polo (toughest sport out there) 4) gym/cardio 5) weights...he took 70# off one guy in 6 months. Everyone showed positive results. Jay rocks
  9. Dele is #1 son...nothing gets in the way of that...my son-in-law is #1 son in a Chinese American family...his son happens to be #1 grandson...so as the #1 son of the #1 son the kid could be awful...fortunately he's smart, sweet & sensitive with the bonus of being handsome, not terribly unlike Dele...
  10. Abishola tasted the raspberry, but Laptop didn't stop talking to hear what she thought. I knew the Tayo crap would come down just like it did as well. However, Dele didn't say he wanted to stay in Nigeria, he said "Dad says it would be best". Dele wants to go home and sooner rather than later. Perhaps #wife2 will side with Abishola because she thinks Tayo is a tyrant as well. Still, I enjoyed the episode (the glitter on your pants line was wonderful!)...looking forward to the fall.
  11. And then Victoria came back to the next audition slim and quite fabulous looking. So she did take it seriously. Whether she sticks to it and/or 'gets away' with it remains to be seen.
  12. Kelli is now post menopausal where getting that weight off is not at all easy. I think she's put on a few pounds a year during the MTT years. And she dresses too young for her age...makes it look worse.
  13. Maybe she had life plans beyond DCC...
  14. Professors often had beards, maybe that's what they based it on. Gomer could have done 20 years and retired before that movie...he joined up in 1965.
  15. He let it all go to his head...not his best look
  16. I think her mother has a much more severe case...as does Auntie Kelli...she's not yet ready to burst out of their bubble...hope she does soon.
  17. Goober was just a regular guy with a regular life in a small town, he'd never be anything else. However, he was a trusted small business owner, the high school's driver training instructor and a kind & loyal friend. Watch the last episode of Mayberry RFD (the one with the computer dating plot) to really get a look a who Goober really was. It's very touching.
  18. My paternal grandfather was Scot/Irish/English descent...6'3" sandy blond hair, blue eyes, very fair...my grandmother was pure Welsh...4'11" black hair, black eyes, light olive skin...they had 8 of the strangest looking kids you ever saw...every hair & eye color combination, including 2 redheads (one gray eyes, the other russet brown eyes), 3 blonds (2 light eyes, 1 brown eyes), 2 dark hair, dark eyes & one black hair/black eyes...and all their heights were different, the 5 men 5-7 to 6-3, the 3 women 4-10 to 5-7...fair skin, darker skin, freckles/no freckles...you just never know what tricks genetics has up its sleeve.
  19. The Pyle men do take obnoxious to the extreme, but you'll never find more loyal, trusted friends. #hillbillyunited
  20. Loved that the new middle school sophisticated Missy (I can behave in school or I can behave at home, you cant have both) went crying like the scared little girl she really is to her Daddy during the Black Hole crisis...
  21. This has become one of my favorite shows. "No, you must continue the sock company so Dele & his children will have jobs"...Abishola's 0-60 parenting style cracks me up.
  22. I just got back from Texas...that 'beach coverup' look is popular among young women...#notafan
  23. Girls almost always have their growth spurt ages 11-15...then it's generally over. My daughter was 5'7" at 14...and there she remains...My son (3 years younger) was 5'1" going into 8th grade...by the time he started high school 12 months later HE was 5'7"...she was appalled...and, of course, he kept growing. In BBT Missy is a tall woman, so it figures that 1991 would be a time of serious growth for her. Sheldon will catch up...My #1 grandson was also 5'7" at 14...at 16 he is 6'1" with no signs of stopping...I'm thinking we have 3-4 inches to go...
