  1. This is between teacher & student...first. Then Miss Crump should address this with the parent. The teacher can be so helpful in helpful in dealing with upset/disappointed parents.
  2. If I were interviewing for DCC I would know so much about the Cowboys organization I'd know Emmitt Smith's shoesize (12-1/2)...I passed American Gov't in high school, so I know what a political party is, how/when to vote (and why it's my civic responsibility) and how the election process is supposed to work. I'm fairly up on current events by listening to the news...I know how to dress for an interview. It's not rocket science...it's a job interview.
  3. Very sorry to hear this! Been there...tough times. DM me if you need to talk. You must take care of yourself if you are taking care of him
  4. The Darlings appeared in only 5 episodes. Yet they have such a presence throughout the entire series. Charlene was a such a charmer.
  5. Agreed...and we have to keep in mind SMJ has mild dementia, so rendered unable to work consistently, not Alzheimer's (though not named at that point). She has period of great lucidity when pressed. The rest of the time she just lets it all hang out.
  6. This particular group of "hippies" were art students who just wanted to practice their arts without rules or interference...I grew up in the greater San Francisco area and was a teenager in the 60s...I did my time in Golden Gate Park & the Haight/Ashbury...it really wasn't for me. However, I saw so very many things...Moving out squatters always made the local evening news. CMW scenes were a little corny, but not that big of an exaggeration. Some groups were very self centered & selfish and did just exactly what happened in the episode. To them it's just empty space so why can't we be here for free, we're not hurting anyone and you aren't using it. There was a degree of thoughtlessness & carelessness as well as entitlement. Susie wasn't safe there, I saw that right away... I have enjoyed Cyril & Lucille. Both have rather 'private' personalities and personal expectations...good to see them become more emotionally open & available to each other...they will heal more quickly now that they share the burden... The gastroschisis baby was a bit of a surprise, but it's rare, random & congenital, not genetic...A friend's nephew was diagnosed prenatally...at his birth he was treated similarly with the addition of a pressure bandage to position everything correctly to prepare for the surgery a day or two after birth...he's in his teens now and a junior rodeo competitor...
  7. 6-pack Lauren was a floor nurse in a hospital, I think in CCU. She took a leave during training camp.
  8. In that respect Kelli was being unkind to Dayton. That said, Dayton isn't a quick study so quickly got behind in the choreography coupled with memory mistakes. When 'she's got it', she's really got it...lovely dancer...
  9. Ugh..."Mr. October" my Aunt Fanny...yet they conveniently leave out the '72 post season where he spent the World Series in the dugout on crutches because of a torn hamstring. Oakland won the World Series without him...his title should be "Greatest Hot Dog of All Time"...The '72 series between Oakland & Cincinnati remains one of the best ever played.
  10. Back to the chicken pox...in that era being exposed or doing the exposing was just another day. Parents used to have 'chicken pox parties' around the neighborhood when one kid caught them...so they'd just catch them and be done with it...The Turner kids all having them at once was aggravatingly common. My sister brought all the usual childhood diseases home in kindergarten & first grade so I had everything except one kind of measles before I started school in the late 50s. No one thought a thing about it...When the kid up the street had complications from the measles and subsequently died, we thought it a very rare and tragic thing. His siblings sailed right on thru them.
  11. This is the sequel to "The Trouble With Angels" starring Hayley Mills...and I think The Trouble With Angels the better of the two films...Rosalind Russell is a standout in both...in the first she explains to Hayley Mills why she became a nun when she'd been a seamstress for a famous couturier in Paris with the goal of her own collection...she simply stated "I found something better"...
  12. No they don't! I can't imaging dealing with 7...
  13. Devon struck me as so very vain...and self centered. The pumice stone was a nuclear option and a really bad idea...Even worse was going to a tanning bed...since melasma is intensified by sun exposure. Apparently she didn't read that part on line, or figured if she covered the dark spots prior to tanning its fine...she's an idiot. She proves the idea that "if it's on the internet it must be true" theory of medical diagnoses & treatment. For mild cases of melasma, like Dr. Lee said, chemical peel or laser will fix it...hers was very deep so the new pill treatment would be the first thing to try... Loved the drag queen...he seems so very genuine with who he is...Sheba be fierce!
  14. Peggy kicked him to the curb...the tornado episode was his last appearance.
  15. Could be a family heirloom....very common. Francis Bavier, who played Aunt Bee was divorced in 1933...never remarried.
  16. "UK-Eve, you all have one-bedroom free-standing homes? I’ve never heard of such here. And I watch HGTV (Home and Garden TV) every day" One bedroom bungalows were everywhere in the first half of the 20th century, especially in the South. Most have probably been torn down due to 'progress'. Very common in industrial areas and homesteading areas. If you can find one now, they are a goldmine.
  17. For sure a skin cancer...a particularly ugly one. Hope isn't much deeper and hasn't metastasized. Clearly he's terrified by doctors & modern medicine...the 100# over six years is significant, but can be caused by unmanaged/mismanaged diabetes. An MRI or CT will show if it's spread.
  18. They were fairly early on in DCC land, so they're looks have matured...
  19. Little Paulina is a doll! Paul clearly adores her (well, his older kids are boys). Their home seems so minimalistic & sterile...not warm & homey at all...but, too each their own.
  20. 1964 'locker room' talk...Barney was a chauvinist of the highest order and remarkably insensitive...as viewers we were privy to this 'boy talk'. Gomer is a very old fashioned gentleman...clueless, but well meaning...and also sees a person clearly rather than just what's on the outside...
  21. The Botched folks are clearly over the top. They know Drs. Nassif & Dubrow can't help them because they know they are being unreasonable...#attentionwhore. Discolored arm girl will have more improvement. The color will fade further as time goes on. Also, her scarring, which is significant, will also fade over time. The pitting will remain for the most part, but the darker color in those scars will fade...My 17yo grandson was 'cleated' in a ballgame recently, a 2" gash across the front of his lower leg just above the ankle. Took 12 stitches to close...It's dark pink and lumpy right now...It's actually healed beautifully. In about 6 moths it will be a smooth pink line...in a year it will have turned white and be nearly invisible. The patient's damage is more intense, but it will fade.
  22. I can see that working. Mike & Molly (not surprisingly) met their weight loss goals when they moved away from their triggers. They have two kids "William", now called "Will" & little Margaret "Maggie"...(Billy Gardell took a Type II diabetes diagnosis seriously and has lost 150#). Mike (surprisingly) made detective. Carl & Victoria have 2 kids and still no clue...Grandma McMillan is the only one with any sense; she & Brother Heywood made it legal & she is officially First Lady of the church. Peggy remains in her house & is as demanding as ever Joyce & Vince remained in the house as long as they could then moved to assisted living; they have kicked out of 3 facilities for 'conduct unbecoming'...Victoria & Carl live there now.
  23. So let's make the center of the kickline Victoria, Jada, Madeline S...tall, beautiful trio...we could have some fun with that
