It's an odd episode for me. I appreciate the show looking at a piece of history not as often explored in media and it was nice to get a non Chibnall written episode as well but it just didn't really land for me. The aliens have been absolutely abysmal this series and I'm getting bored of aliens looking sinister but not actually doing anything. This episode like Rosa might have worked better without the aliens this week. It was nice to see Yasmin get more focus and I liked her scenes with her family, both in the past and present day scenes and watching Prem getting killed by his own brother was pretty brutal as well. Some good characters bits with the Doctor and Graham this week. I'm convinced the latter is not making it out of the series alive though. Ryan could've sat this one out as he didn't really do much tbh, 7/10

Annalise did get a little too played too easily in this episode and she did sabotage Nate's chances of getting an inquest there. Shame that she's drinking again but I did like Bonnie having her back though. This adoption plot feels really tacked on. If it's Gabriel, then how come Annalise hasn't recognised him then? Connor getting into a fight with a homophobe - explains the bruises I guess on the wedding day. Now I'm slightly worried for Oliver. Michaela does seem to have some hasty judgement with romantic partners but she's always had then though. At least we'll know who's dead by next week, 7/10

They still have a lot to fix/resolve by next week but I guess Mallory will perfect the old time travel in order to set things back to normal and defeat Michael. Cordelia shouldn't have been too shocked that Michael came and killed her witches but even I was a little surprised that Dinah actually helped Michael in order to do it. Those better be 13 sublime episodes for that, Dinah. We didn't need the Anastasia subplot. I know there's been rumours about her historically, but has witchcraft ever been one of them? Bye bye Warlocks. Aside from John Henry and Behold, you guys were pretty useless. Michael should've realised that Jeff and Mutt were manipulating him through Meade. Really hope Venable gets to kill the pair of them next week. The Illuminati/Cooperative bit was cliched but at least that bit has been answered though, 8/10

Not my favourite but I definitely enjoyed punk Ray and Charlie made a good first impression. Not cool of John having her trapped in Amaya's body though. I did like the Constantine and Zari scenes and the rivalry with Mick is amusing enough. Nice Time Bureau stuff with Nate, Gary and Ava this week. Not that sure about Mona but she might grow on me as a character though. The punk scene was pretty good overall though. 7/10

That was atrocious. Hopefully though it's the only real dud we'll have for the rest of the series though. There was too many guest characters along with the Doctor and the companions and the Pting was something altogether and I don't mean that in a good way. The resolution felt horribly rushed, I could've done without the cringey fanfic trope of the pregnant guy. Chibnall need to up his game with the monsters. His own creations are lacking here. Some good character moments but not enough to save the episode I'm afraid, 5/10

Easily the strongest episode of the season so far. All the main storylines worked well this week. Loved seeing both Connor and Oliver's mothers and there was some great scenes with Pam and Joanne with their sons and other characters this week. Good to see that Ronald is alive in the flash forwards, even if I can't see him and Bonnie tying the knot though. Also some great scenes with Bonnie and Julie in this episode, though I guess we can rule Gabriel out as the son. Laurel definitely attracted more attention with the way she handled the Gabriel situation as well. Is Michaela actually in love with Tegan because even I'm finding her fixation to be too much at this rate. Emmett showed his true colours with Annalise as did Birkhead. Nate Sr dying, I think everyone saw coming though, 8/10

Basically a filler episode and not the greatest one either. At this stage in the season, we didn't need this one. Michael spent most of the time brooding, met cliched Satanists, awful Silicon Valley morons but at least we got Robot Meade's origin story and I did like Madeline as a guest character, so there's that. Nice to see Paulson playing both Cordelia and Venable in brief scenes. It's a shame neither character got to meet the other though. Pretty boy male angel was a highlight but eh, this episode wasn't needed, 6/10

That Fairy Godmother was hysterical, I really hope she's back for another episode and that we find out soon who exactly is after Constantine to boot. The rivalry with Mick and John is pretty interesting to watch. Much as I love Constantine, I can somewhat see why Mick might not be so keen on him though. Nice use of the Salem Witch trials this week and some great moments with Zari and Sara as well. Ray and Mick being turned into pigs was pretty amusing. Nate works well with Ava, Gary and Hank in the scenes he got this week. Having him at the Time Bureau might not be a bad thing to be honest, 8/10

S05.E05: It Was the Worst Day of My Life
darkestboy replied to Bort's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
Better episode than last week. I knew Bonnie's past was dark but this episode really further shedded a light on how dark it actually was. Her parents truly were evil personified. I liked that Ronald was supportive of her here too. As much as I'd like him not to die (seems predictable), it's probably going to be him or Julie. I think Oliver will be somewhere else. Asher copping off with Connor's mother in those flashforwards was sleazy as hell, even for him. Michaela had some good moments this episode. At least the face case stuff with Nate's dad is resolved for now and Connor and Annalise patched things up as well. The show will go there with Laurel and Gabriel, won't they? At least she confronted Frank on his interest in Gabriel, 7/10 -
Not my favourite episode but still pretty enjoyable in parts. It was nice to see Yasmin's family, who were likeable enough, especially Najia who had the most focus in this episode. I suspect we'll see more of them again. Nice reappearance of Grace there too and I'm liking Ryan and Graham bonding a little more too. Robertson feels like a character we'll see again. The Trump were a bit too on the nose but not enough to spoil the episode. Quite liked jade as well as a guest character. The guest characters have stood out this series more than previous ones. Some lovely moments with the Doctor and the spiders were effective enough. 7/10

At least things are moving along nicely. I missed Michael but at least Cordelia and the coven took out Meade, Ariel and Baldwin in style though. Mallory being the Supreme feels predictable, so there has to be more to it than we've seen so far. I'm liking Coco a lot more in these flashbacks as well as Queenie and Zoe. Glad John and Behold are on the side of the witches here. Bubbles is a delightful character, loved her scenes with Madison and Myrtle. I hope the show doesn't waste the character. Nice scenes with Dinah and Cordelia at the start of this episode. Liked the reappearance of Papa Legba and Nan in this one too, 8/10

A heart eating unicorn whose rainbow snot will get you high as a kite. Yup, this show is back then. Loved the trip into Woodstock, the cameos, the gang getting off their faces on unicorn snot and poor Gary losing a nipple. Nice to know that him and Constantine are somewhat canon and probably will be so fairly soon as well. I do wonder who attacked Constantine at the end of this one though. I guess he'll be joining the Legends whether he likes it or not though. Great team ups this week with Nate/Mick and Ray/Zari as well as Sara/Ava having some nice domestic moments. Loving the Sara and Constantine scenes as well. Some interesting potential with the addition of Nate's family this season as well, 8/10

I think this episode will go down as a classic. I did have some concerns that they wouldn't be able to do Rosa's story justice but this episode more than proved me wrong. Malorie Blackman has to come back and write another episode and Vinette Robinson was incredible as Rosa. She played the role beautifully. Seeing the Doctor and company unable to get involved during the bus moment was devastating to watch. I'm loving Graham, Ryan and Yasmin as companions. All three of them just work as a unit with the Doctor. Yasmin and Ryan's discussion of racism was poignant and the show certainly didn't hold back on exploring the topic. Krasko probably should've been saved for another episode but he was effective enough and I do get the feeling we'll be seeing him again. I wonder if he's met River in Stormcage? Beautiful use of that Andra Day son at the end of this episode too, 10/10

Meh episode, felt like it was treading water for the most part. I do think we need to get on with revealing who Bonnie's kid is and move the story forward. Gabriel looking into Bonnie is making me wonder if it's not him after all and then there's that kid Julie was dealing with as well. They won't kill off Nate, will they? It does seem like they're throwing a red herring with Bonnie having his phone. Where are Nate, Oliver and Asher in the flash forwards. The show is struggling with Asher this season, more than with Nate tbh. The stuff with Nate Sr I had forgotten about tbh. Annalise was totally right to lose it with that woman touching her hair. I did like Tegan dealing with her though though Michaela needs to dial back the fixation. Connor can be his own worst enemy at times. The Oliver/Frank scenes were alright. I'll take a potential Annalise/Tegan pairing over a Laurel/Gabriel one, 6/10

S08.E06 Return to Murder House
darkestboy replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in American Horror Story
Loved that episode. I wasn't the biggest fan of Constance but seeing her back along with Moira, Billie, Tate, Violet, Ben and Vivian really worked a treat for this episode though. Michael's backstory is hardly shocking, we've known it for ages but seeing Madison and Behold's reaction to it was sublime though. I loved Madison/Behold as a team in this one and the episode did a bit to humanise Madison a little more, which I'm fine with. Moira got a happy ending, didn't hate the Tate/Violet reunion though I have never gotten the appeal to that pairing, Vivian and Ben had some good moments in this one too. Great use of flashbacks and music in this one but the story does need to get back to the present day, 10/10 -
Not a bad second episode but nothing too extraordinary either. I will admit so far that the monsters have felt underwhelming, so Chibnall does need to up his game on that front. I guess the Stenza and Timeless Child are our series arc then, which I am interested in finding out more about. Love the new opening credits and the TARDIS looked better on screen than from those spoiled pics a while back. Not sure about the biscuit dispenser bit but everyone's reactions to the TARDIS was great though. The dynamic with the four main characters is great so far and the guest characters worked well enough too, 7/10

S05.E03: The Baby Was Never Dead
darkestboy replied to Bort's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
The cases of the week this season have been interesting and this one was no exception too. Nice to see both Annalise and Tegan working better together though I'm finding Michaela's obsession with the latter a bit much though. Oliver didn't take much to get back into Caplan & Gold, though where is he during the big day? At least we know Connor is safe if somewhat bruised. Not liking Asher getting between Bonnie and Roland (though that will end badly anyways) or sabotaging Annalise's cases. They need to speed up things with Gabriel as both Frank and Nate's stories seem too revolved around him and Bonnie this season. I hope they don't pair Laurel with Gabriel but wouldn't be shocked if they do. Whatever Emmett's secret is, I don't think it'll be that exciting, 7/10 -
If Gunn is smart, he'll keep Harley, Deadshot, Waller and Boomerang. Then add about four or five newbies into the mix.

Enjoyed it but not as much as last week though with the return of Misty and Stevie Nicks popping by for a song, it was a great episode nonetheless. Cordelia playing the game to get an advantage over Michael, really hope it doesn't backfire on her. How many more episodes are going to be flashback based I wonder? Surely we have to get back to the dead people in the bunker at some point. At least we now know how Mallory and Coco know each other. I wonder when we'll see Dinah in those flashbacks if we do. Madison and Behold could be an interesting team up next week. Myrtle had some good lines, Zoe and Queenie didn't really do much here and it's a pity they killed John off so quickly though, 8/10

A very promising opening episode. The main baddie was a bit weak but not enough to really take me out of the story. I've had my doubts about a female Doctor but Jodie just nailed the role. She did everything she needed to do and then some. She really is the Doctor after this one. The companions - I liked them all from the off. Ryan was the main focus and he was great. Grace and Graham's relationship was so sweet and even though the former's death was signposted, it still delivered a gut punch though. Yasmin didn't get as much to do but she was great nonetheless though. Liked the closing credits and list of guest stars but I really do hope the next episode gives us the TARDIS and opening credits, 8/10

If Gordon isn't in the movie (and that could go either way), maybe she is a Commissioner or Captain in it.

Good episode, liked the case of the week, saw the irony in having Michaela be the one to actually take the lead in it, given what she did to Simon. Did this episode draw a line under the sand with her and Oliver? I hope so but maybe not. At least Connor tried though. Last week I was convinced that Laurel didn't harm her mother, now I'm not so sure. Not surprised she found a way to worm into Caplan & Gold though. I do like Annalise and Tegan working together. Emmett is clearly a threat in waiting too. If Gabe is Bonnie's son and I'd be shocked if he wasn't, then just tell us already so Frank and Nate can get other storylines this season. Was Bonnie going to steal Christopher in the flash forwards before Michaela and Laurel interrupted her? Roland is an okay character but I really think he's the dead body. Asher getting into the DA's office has potential, story wise for him, 7/10

S08.E04: Could It Be . . . Satan?
darkestboy replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in American Horror Story
I fucking loved this episode. Seriously this is definitely going down as one of my favourite all time episodes, it really was that good. Cody Fern is a bloody revelation. Brilliant in ACSVersace and was perfectly cast as Michael here. I loved the huge flashback focus with him here, including his relationships with the real Meade and that Boys Warlock School was made of win. I liked Ariel, Chablis and John Henry Moore as characters and BD Wong's character too. Great returns for James Patrick March, Queenie and Zoe and the hell Madison had to go through before Michael got her out was amusing as well, hell I guess. Fabulous one liners in this episode as well and I loved the last scene too when Michael and Cordelia met for the first. I'm guessing Mallory might be the new Supreme, right? 10/10 -
How To Speculate w/o Spoilers: Hiding the Ball
darkestboy replied to DollEyes's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
It's the wedding and we know from the 5x02 Bonnie took Christopher and is about to suffocate the victim. Unless the victim stole Christopher, Bonnie got the baby back and fought off/finishes off the victim? Either way, Bonnie strikes again. Connor and Oliver are probably fine, so I'm not really concerned with them for now. If they keep pointedly mentioning Michaela getting Simon deported, then I might suspect he's back for revenge against the K4 and Annalise but I think it could be the DA guy who's the dead body or Laurel's mother. I'd be shocked if it's either Tegan, Emmett and/or Gabriel, especially as the latter two are still too new for viewers to care about yet. Then again, stranger things have happened on this show.
