  1. First of all, can we please have both Lily Rabe and John Carroll Lynch back as regulars next season? Both of them were absolutely stunning to watch in this episode. The show shamelessly went all Pamela Voorhees with Lavinia Richter and it worked fantastically. Yup, she was vile to poor Benjamin but she did give him some pointers in the end. I don't even mind the twist with her being responsible for Margaret's original killing spree. Not surprised that Benjamin killed himself but at least he can get a chance to try and take down Ramirez. I liked the little lesson we got with Montana about ghosts as well. Nice that she spared Trevor too. The Brooke and Donna team up was great but Bruce was a dull wannabe baddie and Dylan McDermott felt wasted compared to the excellent Rabe. Other than that, I can't wait to see how this is going to end, 8/10
  2. Tegan being alive and not the informant is great. Her scenes with Cora and Annalise again continue to be the highlight of this season. Nate and Cora teaming up against Tegan, nope, not liking that idea. Nate's grudge against Tegan is boring. Really don't like Asher's sister but at least he's getting a storyline this season. Connor and Oliver this seems to be brewing for a while, hasn't it? Michaela's father, yeah, looking forward to see more of him and his past with Annalise. Gabriel continues to be boring as a character, 8/10
  3. As a 100th episode, it was somewhat lacking but fora regular episode, it was pretty good. I suppose the time jumps should've been obvious and it was a good way to explore certain storylines. I knew Benjamin's happiness wouldn't last for betraying the Night Stalker so I'm hoping he gets his revenge on Ramirez. Thanks to Donna, it looks like Brooke will get her revenge on Margaret and not a moment too soon. Margaret going from being blackmailed into blackmailing Trevor into a marriage was a power move. The new look is hilariously OTT as well. Going back to redwood won't be third time lucky for her no doubt. Montana and Xaiver becoming murder ghosts seemed predictable but at least Ray has a conscience though. Chet wants revenge and he'll probably get it too, 8/10
  4. I really hope Robert is a genuinely nice guy not working for the FBI, evil or dead because I really liked his scenes with Annalise. The main case was interesting enough, good use for Asher too. What's up with him and his sister though? Tegan - I'm guessing we'll be meeting the soon to be ex-wife soon. Loved her scenes with Annalise and I liked Bonnie also helping her out. Nate is continuing to bore me and at least the Frank stuff didn't drag out. Gabriel can go now though. The Connor/Oliver three way isn't the best plot but there are worse ones. Oliver did seem off this episode though. Liked the scenes with Michaela and Solomon, 8/10
  5. Not a game changer but the twists continue to work for me. Brooke, it's your turn to take the rap for Margaret's crimes but at least you managed to stop Montana from actually getting her revenge and you did have some fun with Ray before finding out he was a ghost. Of course Montana would find the fun in being a ghost stuck at Redwood for eternity. I'm guessing Ray is going to be the moral compass ghost though. Margaret just had to kill both Chet and Xavier and one of them went to the trouble of actually saving her life. Donna's flashbacks were interesting and Brooke's backstory with her fiancee was a lot deeper than expected. Great scenes there. Interested in seeing where the Jingles and Night Stalker team up goes and bring on episode 100, 8/10
  6. Eh, parts of this felt a bit filler to me. They need to finish up the Laurel storyline and give Frank something else to do. They need to drop Nate's vendetta to Tegan because I do think most viewers prefer her to him. They need to give Asher any storyline at this rate. They need to ditch Gabriel and his mother but that doesn't seem likely. The Connor and Michaela cases were good, I loved the flash forward scene at the end and Annalise's scenes Tegan were also good. Other than that, too filler at times, 6/10
  7. Margaret being the real killer, I guess we should've seen it coming but it was nicely revealed and damn, poor Trevor. He did not deserve that. Then again, Xavier didn't deserve to be cooked and Bertie definitely didn't deserve to die either. I really liked her. Did laugh at Montana/Donna scrapping it out as Ramirez and Richter went at it with each other with Brooke being in a net. I really hope Brooke gets better material as the show goes on. Nice flashbacks with Montana and Richard, found the ritual bit at the end interesting as well. Overall, this season is coming along nicely for me, 8/10
  8. I found the episode a bit dull to be honest. They need to wrap up the Laurel stuff and give Frank another purpose and Asher some decent material as well this season. And Oliver too. Not surprised that Bonnie lost her job. I would've been more surprised if she had managed to keep it. Annalise's scenes with Vivian, Michaela, Bonnie and Tegan were some of the strongest this season. Nope, still not buying Annalise being dead or Michaela maybe being her killer. Good try though, show. Connor did well with the main case of the week. I'm gonna miss the show for him as well as Annalise. The writers do realise that if it's between Nate and Tegan, most viewers would side with Tegan, right? 7/10
  9. That episode certainly had some great twists. Rita actually being Donna and working with Mr Jingles was one thing but Montana working with the Night Stalker was another. Both twists are actually rather great. Why does Montana want Brooke dead and does Donna really believe that someone like Richter can actually be rehabilitated? Benjamin himself doesn't seem remotely interested in any kind of redemption at all. The real Rita, yeah she was never going to make it out of this one alive. Ray's death didn't move me at all or make me feel bad for him given what we saw of him this episode. Brooke is a weak protagonist, if she's meant to be one at all. Right now, Xavier, Chet and Trevor seem to be the only remotely decent people on the show, 8/10
  10. I think it's a safe bet that Ryan Choi will probably be a regular in the latter half of Legends fifth season then. I'll miss Ray but I like the actor playing Ryan, so he should be a good replacement to have. Huntress being in this from that BOP show was unexpected in the best way possible. I love how much they're going for this. I'm betting we'll see that Black Canary too seeing as the actress is also a regular on Batwoman, so she can pull double duty.
  11. This was a pretty strong opening episode. Saying that, I'm not convinced Annalise is actually dead. It feels like a fakeout or maybe that's what we're supposed to think. I am interested in seeing the events that lead up to this of course. Michaela has a right to be mad at Annalise but I don't believe she'd kill over it. Not bothered by Michaela/Gabriel but Asher's advice was sweet though and I did enjoy the Connor/Oliver scenes in this one. Rehab scenes were great, Gabriel's mother could be an interesting problem for the gang, Nate vs. Tegan also interesting. I just hope the show doesn't drag out the Laurel stuff though, 8/10
  12. I'm not enthused for a spin-off tbh. Mia is a dreadful character and I don't get the impression that most audiences care enough about Dinah either. I know Laurel's not exactly popular here but she's the only hook and even she's not enough. Besides the idea kind of feels a bit too late/desperate as though the CW don't have enough confidence in Batwoman as a series (and I can't blame them, that show could be a flop for them) are trying to latch on to the Oliver Queen side of things without. It's also likely that this will go the way of Bloodlines and Wayward Sisters and not get picked up at all and if it does get picked up, does that mean we lose another Arrow related show?
  13. I liked this a little better than the premiere episode. Margaret, yeah, there's something off with her in a big way, especially when you watch her scenes with Hopple and Ramirez, both of which were the highlights of the episode btw. Xavier being involved in gay porn wasn't too shocking and nor was Blake being quickly killed off though. Brooke's wedding flashback did seem odd, but also a shout out to a similar wedding scenario from Scream Queens not so long ago. Glad Rita survived her encounter with Jingles. Hopple and Blake of course weren't so lucky. Montana clearly fancies Brooke and she's the better of the younger characters so far. Ray is fairly decent but Chet is boring as hell. Trevor bounces between sleazy and amusing in small doses though. Good ending scene with the two groups, but I want to see Jingles and Ramirez clash now, 7/10
  14. First episode did a decent impression but I'm not sure if it can maintain the slasher theme for the entire season. I'm suspecting we're going to get a mid season twist ala Roanoke to be honest. Nice to see Emma Roberts not play a bitch this season but I can't tell if Brooke is meant to be endearingly naive or pretty stupid at times. I mean close your damn window at night when there are serial killers on the loose. Between Richard Ramirez and Mr Jingles, it seems we've got two killers to worry about. One will have to cancel out the other, right? You could've had a drinking game spotting the allusions to certain movies in this one and that's not a criticism by the way. Younger cast so far - I like Brooke, Montana and Ray. Xavier and Chet grated a little at times in parts. Older cast worked better with Jingles, Rita, Margaret, Bertie but not sure what to make of Trevor other than 70s porn star tbh. Some good scares here and there, so I'm down with what this season is trying to pull off, 7/10
  15. I think the show will regret losing Ray. Ray, Sara and Mick are the only original characters left and the ones who should've been there til the bitter end. Nate is okay in small doses, but he doesn't work as a lead male character and his romances have not been critically acclaimed either. I do wonder if Season 5 could end up being the show's last one or will it come back for a sixth and final season with a further reduced cast. Time will tell I guess.
  16. Most of the departures we've had have not really affected the show but I do think losing Ray will affect and not in a good way. To me, he's going to be a massive loss to the series and I quite enjoyed Nora as a character. It also seems like it's not the actors choice either, which makes it worse.
  17. I feel bad for Ramona but Mona just didn't really work that well as a character, so I don't think it's a bad thing for the show to lose the character.
  18. I'm genuinely surprised that S4 didn't sneak in a Damien appearance but as long as they don't resurrect him, I'm fine for a brief appearance of him again. All of these people are fascinating subjects for the show to tackle. I hope they're given individual episodes instead of all merged into one. Will Behrad be around for most of the season or will he be an early or mid-series casualty as Zari finds her place in the team again? Yeah, not really that bothered about Avalance. Sara's "superpower" sounds more interesting than their relationship. More Charlie, this is a very good thing. I want to know more about her. Given that some of the big Constantine episodes were my favourite last season, this also works for me.
  19. Not my favourite finale but crossover shout out, sing songs and that amusement park did all add to the sublime silliness we've grown to be accustomed to with this show, so there's that. Neron and Tabitha did seem a little easily defeated but they were fun baddies to watch all season long. Trading Zari for Behrad, I'm not overly keen on even though I'm curious to see the latter working with the Legends. Astra getting all those evil souls to play around with seems to be a good way of keeping Constantine around for the next season, so I'm happy with that. Other than that, it's a bit of a wait for Season 5 but I'm sure it'll be worth it, 7/10
  20. I didn't hate this finale, I even enjoyed a lot of parts of it but again, it probably could've been better than what we actually got, though that can be said for the whole season. I will hate how Daenerys's arc turned, given the shoddy build up to it, but I saw Jon killing her coming a mile off. Drogon taking her body away and melting the Iron Throne down though I didn't quite see but should've done. Bran becoming ruler of the Six Kingdoms, I also didn't like but who else aside from maybe Sansa would've been a better option to be honest? I did like Brienne, Tyrion, Bronn, Samwell and Davos being his council though. Tyrion is really lucky to be alive. Jaime and Cersei managed to make a brief post death appearance lol. Jon's reunion with Ghost was sweet. Sansa, Jon and Arya all got solid endings. The remaining Starks did come off well from this last episode. Nice appearances from some forgotten characters as well. Too bad we'll never get to know the new Dorne Prince though. It wasn't a perfect series finale but no way does it deserve to be any worst lists either, 7/10
  21. I do like Gary, but after this episode there needs to be some consequences for his actions for what he subjected the Legends to, regardless of how they've treated him and so on. Both Nora and John got played a bit too easily in this episode. John should've seen that Astra wouldn't want to be rescued by him and I don't blame him for choosing her over Ray given that he did try to save both of them. Then there was Nora getting tricked by Tabitha into becoming a fairy godmother. Nora being sent to hell though will probably work in saving the day for next week. I want to know all about that garden gnome though. Zari's younger self getting to see a dragon hatch was a good ending for the episode. Liked Zari and Charlie's team up in this one, 8/10
  22. Damn it, show. Even if it was "foreshadowed" with Dany, the way in which the series has conveyed her descent into madness and tyranny should've been so much better written and handled than this. Watching her use Drogon to sack King's Landing even after they surrendered was brutal and seemed to go on forever. There's no way she's going to able to keep that throne by the time we get to the series finale. Jon has a decision to make and pretty fast before Arya makes it for him. Where the hell did that white horse appear out of? Loved Arya's final scene with the Hound and Tyrion's with Jaime as well. I'm not mad with the way Jaime and Cersei's story ended and to the episode's credit, it did end Varys, Euron, Qyburn, the Cleaganes stories well enough I guess. Still though the destruction of Dany's character, damn it. 7/10
  23. A Constantine heavy episode as we lead into the finale. Works for me. Nice to see Matt Ryan getting to play two roles in this episode with his ancestor as well as a chance to give him a dodgy wig. Every scene with Constantine, his ancestor, Neron and the Pooka were the highlights of the episode. Constantine going to hell felt inevitable but it could work out in his favour and bring about Neron's downfall. Fairy Godmother being Tabitha was a bit of a surprise but it was nice enough twist though. Liked the scenes with the gang working together with Ray's cards and the Time Bureau stuff with Mona, Nora, Ava and Evil Gary worked pretty well too. Can't wait to see how the last two episodes wrap up the Neron story, 8/10
  24. Damn, that hurt. Poor Missandei but let her death be the last serious misdeed that Cersei gets away with before the show ends. I think Tyrion has paved the way for Euron to turn on Cersei with his little speech about children. Euron also can't die quick enough as far as I'm concerned. Protect Drogon and Ghost at all costs. Jaime and Brienne, everything was telegraphed with them. Same with Arya, Gendry and the Hound, though not a bad thing in the latter case. Dany really could become another Mad Queen and Tyrion/Varys conspiring can only backfire on them. Sansa has a right to express doubt over Dany/Jon but even I felt a little bad for Dany in this one, not to mention Grey Worm. Like last week, I'm not sure this episode needed the extra time but at least it wasn't bloody dark to watch though. 8/10
  25. An okay episode but the last few minutes really ramped things up. Gary snapping and joining Neron made actual sense though. Right now, Neron has Ray as a host, Gary as an accomplice and Constantine as a hostage I guess. The team are a little bit screwed for now. Constantine showed up at the last minute and failed. Nora is awake from her coma, so I'm guessing she'll be the one to actually save Ray within the next few episodes. The book club bit was amusing only for Sara to get really into the book and Ava to be the one to tell her that it's not really much of a book club. Mona annoyed me during the Mick/Charlie subplot by being one of those type of fans at a convention. Nice to see Mick get more of a plot this week. Nate and Zari, it could be handled better but it doesn't bother me now. Ooh, a dragon egg, 7/10
