Sometimes I wonder why you people comment on here if you hate the show so much.......just don't watch ok?

A little off topic news ......89 year old singer Colin Thackery is your 2019 BGT winner. Now that the show is over..... production is set to begin for "BGT: The Champions"......a spin-off show set to find the best act in Got Talent history. Susan Boyle to date is the only confirmed entrant......but many of the BGT acts you saw last winter on agt champions will be there.......Shin Lim will likely appear.......they're trying to get Terry Fator but that's a longshot. And Grace Vander Wal will likely be free to appear. So will sand artist Kesinya Seminova from Ukraine.

I didn't think it was possible for a lady to look more plastic than Katy Perry......but Julianne in her garish eye makeup was hard to look at. Ease up on it ladies.....you don't need it.

G-Force:. this is actually the second all girl group of that name to appear on agt. The first was a three girl group playing their own instruments in season four. This one reminded me of a mini spice girls with the one in white looking like a Mel B. "mini-me".......but they sounded good and their song is "spice girls catchy".

I'm glad for two things......one...... Howie didn't give his golden buzzer to a little girl....... that was beginning to concern me......and two......the golden buzzer didn't get awarded to someone who has a disability......it was becoming like a Jerry"s kids thing. I like Joseph Allen and think he's a future star whether he wins the show or not. Oh.....and I left out that he doesn't sing opera....... that's a plus.

But you all know......with all your criticisms.....you say you're done.....but you're not. You love the show. And you want another season...... and you'll get it. ABC has confirmed season three....(18th overall). At this time.....nobody is confirmed but you have to think if Ryan Seacrest isn't the host...... it's not Idol. Lionel feels such a chemistry between him and Katy and Luke....that he has stated he likely wouldn't return without the others. But they better decide because auditions begin soon.

I thought "We Need Love" as a bouncy song the way it was presented would be a hit for a Rhianna type artist.......not John Legend. It's the chorus that's catchy enough to have people singing along.........and like they used to say on "rate a record" on Bandstand......"it has a beat you can dance to".......so who cares if the lyrics are relatable? They don't need to be. As long as it has that hook.

They used to allow all contestants to keep their winnings during the Art Fleming network daytime era. But of course.....only the days champion returned. And the dollar values were a lot less.

James will only lose when his own aggressive style finally gets him.....like betting a bundle on daily doubles or final jeopardy and blowing it........other than that.....if he were to win as many games as Ken Jennings,. he'll have like seven mil racked up.

If you compare Julianne and Gabrielle to Amanda and Aleysha on BGT.......it looks as though Simon found two American women that look like the British counterparts. Though I don't think we'll get "Wot just haaaapennnnnd" from Gabby. The one thing NBC can't reinvent are the acts themselves. There's gonna be singers, card magicians, dance troups, danger acts.....same formula really. It's been my summer guilty pleasure for years now and it still is. Don't think we've seen the front runner yet......it's not Kodi but you never know. I really liked the movie trailer guy.....but he needs to be much more creative......but what he did do was spot on......but I guess since it didn't come out of a dummy.....it won't fly.

Well I mention Jennifer because while she coached a season of the voice...... they didn't bring her back.

The week that Carrie Underwood's season four coronation song "Inside Your Heaven" reached number one...... runner up Bo Bice's version peaked at #2. Again a runner up. Those were the days when every Idol episode drew 25 to 30 million viewers giving these artists a much bigger exposure than the contestants now..... when the show is averaging 7 to 8 million. So it isn't that America has run out of singing talent. Plus since billboard made streaming an element of tabulating the chart.... it's gone nuts. When an Ed Sheeran or a Drake or a Post Malone puts out a new release..... every single song is made eligible to chart whereas in the days when Lionel Richie was charting regularly.... only a physical single release would be eligible. That's how Drake was able to smash the long held Beatles record of 14 charting songs at one time in 1964..... by placing 30 songs on the chart at once in 2017.

They would probably like to brag about the fact that season 16 American Idol winner Maddie Poppe appeared on the Voice just months before auditioning for Idol....... she did not get a chair turn.... meaning instant elimination. While Maddie's post Idol song "Going Going Gone" .....a song I really like, failed to crack the 100...... her first full album comes out soon so we'll see how it does. Keep in mind I'm not including any other billboard chart.

Now let's compare that to NBC's "The Voice". It is currently in it's sixteenth cycle..... here are the stats..... It won't take long. Only six artist from the voice have charted on Billboard's Hot 100...... a total of nine songs altogether.....the highest was from Cassadee Pope who managed a peak position of #37. No one else even made the top 40 portion. Meaning if Casey Kasem were still alive and counting down the hits..... he would've never played a song by a Voice artist.

The Philip Phillips single you may know very well....."Home"..... even if you never heard of the guy..... you've heard the song...... It was the pitch song for American Family Insurance.... as well as the theme for the USA women's gymnastics team during the 2012 games in London.

On the night of the Billboard Music Awards show hosted by season one winner Kelly Clarkson.....I thought I'd go over some Idol chart facts:. Dim the lights and here we go. There have been 60 singles charted on Billboard's Hot 100 ....... David Cook has charted 11 of those to lead the pack. Five Idol singles have gone all the way to number one. "A Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson......"This Is The Night" by Clay Aiken......"I Believe" by Fantasia....."Inside Your Heaven" by Carrie Underwood...... and "Do I Make You Proud". by Taylor Hicks. Five Idol singles have achieved Gold certification,. four have gone Platinum Philip Phillips.... Season 11 winner has to date the biggest selling singles in terms of units sold......5.4 million making it four times platinum..... it peak position was #6. Season 12 winner Candice Glover has to date the lowest charting single to actually make the 100..... peaking at number 94....... two years later season 14 winner Nick Fradiani made number 93. The two most recent Idol winners ... Trent Harmon and Maddie Poppe have not yet charted. So it seems the show is losing steam in it's hit making power.... but make no mistake..... it has had a major impact on American music.

America got it right...... Walker and Alyssa out...... no shock. Wade looked stunned like maybe he knew he didn't nail it....... he didn't, but I'm glad he went through because I like his voice...... that song was all wrong for him. Madison gets my vote for performance of the night. Alejandro's version of "Under Pressure" started kind of weak..... but it got better..... and he can rock that guitar...... Overall .....Queen music is tough to pull off for anyone...... Freddie was just that great. But Adam Lambert has that same kind of theatrical presence that can come close. And that's exactly what was said about him when he completed on idol.

Well...... Even Simon isn't the Simon we remember from his idol days. I mean he cried for a dog act on BGT...... Really Simon? Randy Jackson was always a fave of mine. Yeah,. all Ellen ever did was agree with whatever Randy said because he always was first to critique..... If he liked it..... so did she...... If he didn't...... neither did she. I do like the judges now...... I've always been a Lionel fan and he brings huge credibility...... even though he seems to love something about everybody.......Luke is just the kind of guy I'd like to have a beer with...... and Katy is weird..... but at least she offers constructive criticism from time to time if she's not drooling over the male contestants. But I think Jennifer Hudson would be great on this show..... cuz she'll speak her mind.

Laine isn't going to need the judges save...... Mark the date March 12..... audition episode 3......I predicted way back then Laine is going to win. I think so.... The judges think so..... Do you think so? Well whatever you think.... Laine has got "it". Here's something else I think.....if Walker could beat box..... I'd swear it was Blake Lewis.... compare their faces.... they're like twins. Demitrious gave the performance of the night I thought...... the wrong two are gone. Thought Laci and Walker would go.

I wasn't jumping up and down over Walker Burroughs "How deep is your Love". I guess there's just a certain way I expect it to be sung. He didn't hit the key big notes. I don't see how these judges were so blown away.

While the audition round bored me with all the sobbing and crying...... and no funny auditions to laugh about....it nearly drove me away.....its become way better and i'm watching idol again......great talent.....who to choose? I believe Katy stated how she's glad she doesn't have to decide.....so I'm not sure who does.

ABC repeating mondays episide.....for those who may have chosen the Voice's sob show over this one. It's a very different show now...... a lot less entertaining...... a ton of crying. Is our world really this sad? I was big on this show once......they could keep doing it...... I won't notice.

He shoud have gone higher. But his size....... surely can't be an NFL starter...... mannn how things work out..... the Seahawks had signed Matt Flynn who was the sexiest free agent available after he had a big game for Green Bay to close the season. THAT was a dud almost of Percy Harvin proportions. When Russell won the starting job we were all WHAAAAA? Don't think anyone questions it now.
