  1. When Kody refers to the children by the mother's name: "Christine's children, Janelle's children", not as the collective "our children." It is not so hard to imagine children are allocated time and resources by him based on how he feels about a child's mother at the time.
  2. Biggest tell from Kody tonite was when he said, "I WAS a polygamist...it's all ego." Big stress on that word WAS, in my opinion.
  3. IMO show is over after seeing the part when all the kids were young and interacting in their lives. There is no way this dynamic can be replicated with just Robyn and Kody's two. No way.
  4. How could Christine stop a reconciliation if Kody really wanted that?
  5. OMG....how great Y&R used to be, this retrospective has me in tears. The costumes, the sets, the character's campy lines and attitudes. It has taken me right back to when I had the priviledge of meeting "Katherine Chancellor" (Jeanne Cooper) at the 1984 New Orleans' World Fair. IMO, this episode is everything any soap should still should aspire to be.
  6. Sorry but those scenes with Danny and the Seniors (older posters may get my "hopping" on that name for them) were just cringeworthy. It seemed forced by the actors and IMO their lines might have been pulled out of some cornball cliches book the MWT's keep in their bathrooms. And the singing? I was embarrassed for them, and at myself for watching. Chloe and Sally look liked they were dressed to attend a Renaissance Fair, with Sally being the "damsel in distress," while Chloe played her faithful page. I kept expecting one of them to whip out one of those big turkey legs, and start chomping away! Oh, and why does it follow that having a baby (if pregnant) would be Sally's only option? Good job, Billy, of "saving Chelsea's life" to ruin your own relationship with Lily. What is it they tell everyone before the flight? Put on your own oxygen mask before trying to put one on anyone else? The synopsis for the New Year...Lily so gutted, she couldn't even fake cry, the possibility of Jack and Diane becoming another "power" couple in Genoa City like Nikki and Grampire, had me so disgusted that all I could think when I saw Adam drinking alone was, "Move over, buddy, I'm just as disgusted with all these idiots, as you. Bartender, make it a double for me too." HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!
  7. Do the MWT's feel entitled to this storyline theft because the ABC show school is named after the great Abbott family of Genoa City? Just kidding.....!!
  8. Has no on ever told Tropicana Phyllis, or the show's stylists, that orange is not a favored hue for redheads? Throw in her straggler hair strands competing with the whole purpose of the neckline, and it would be hard to make this look worse. Loved it when she told Danny Jr. his success would be a shoo-in, that as her son he was "confident and powerful." She left out the part that being vindictive, devious, and delusional may be other genetic traits she's passed along. Devon continues on as his insufferable self. Wittering on to Lily about Nate betraying his family, fresh on the heels of his breaking up Dominic's, by betraying Chance with Abby. I am so over Billy and Chelsea. Two cracked eggs trying to build a device to prevent cracked eggs? The irony. Wow, Grampire still rattling on about "loving" Adam. Just like one of his beloved chess pieces, he only wants him on board.
  9. The actress playing Sally looks like she hates being in scenes with Nick as much as we hate watching them. Sorry, but to me Danny Boy still looks like a weasel, particularly in that leather jacket, and the Christmas tree was the only thing that lit up the scene he did with Kyle and Summer. Billy certainly has made Chelsea his priority, does he never even consider anyone else's feelings? Isn't it Christmas Eve? Where is Lily anyway? She couldn't have joined this dinner party? Poor Victoria, searching for a "happy medium." Maybe Sally can put her in touch with one she knows from her old carny days! Still not understanding the "why" of Jack paying off Jeremy Stark. Jack's desire to resolve this issue would make most criminal masterminds believe Diane will be returning as soon as they think Stark is gone. Unless the plan has been that Diane is still involved with Stark, and ripping Jack off has been their endgame all along. I mean, how many years was she okay not being part of Kyle's life? It will be hilarious if Diane and Stark take the money and run, Diane scores another "mystery disappearance." Kyle and Jack will think Stark has kidnapped or killed Diane, and the Coven will all be held accountable.
  10. IMO today was Yawnsville except for when Ashley nearly caught Tucker with Audra. I can hardly wait until the super sanctimonious Ashley finds out she isn't the player she fancies herself to be. Billy drooling over finding an excuse to dial up Project Chelsea was off-putting. I have been wondering lately if the show might not get rid of Billy with a plot twist of him successfully suiciding. He has no job, no plans for his future. His relationship with Lily is over. He has never accepted the death of his daughter. He had such a bad reaction when Lily said they needed counseling, strange that Chelsea's mental health would be a more immediate concern than his own. Maybe he has been using Chelsea's situation as camouflage over his own need for help. Also, it sucked that he couldn't wait to go shopping with Johnny for Chelsea and Connor. Wouldn't Johnny also need to be getting gifts for Lily and Victoria as well?
  11. This all gives me the feeling that Kody and Robyn's relationship is grounded on them feeling superior to every other wife, and spend all their time validating that. What are they going to do now?
  12. Nice Kody wants to be the "head" of his family. Is that even possible without a brain?
  13. Apparently Robyn's "dream" has become the other wives' "nightmare."
  14. Billy sitting around with Chelsea spouting cliches and platitudes is just cringe worthy. How much more of this PSA will we be forced to watch? "Supporting A Friend" needs a deep dive into how SELFISH it is that Billy is actually using Chelsea to make his own directionless life appear to be superior in some way. Notice how hostile he got when Lily suggested they could use a little counseling help too? He, the great proponent of getting help, was quite deflated IMO. Jack and Kyle visiting Jeremy Stark is over-reach IMO. If Diane was really gone (as they are trying to portray) they have no further reason to work out any deals. Danny has worked for C-W for 5 minutes and he's hiring Phyllis? Guess he's replicating that corporate nepotism model already entrenched throughout GC. This whole aspirational gaming concept of Danny Boy's sounds stupider each and every time he explains it. Now his Big Daddy is in GC. Hope he doesn't need a job too, and brings some energy to the show.
  15. The interesting part about the show ending with Phyllis wondering aloud if the whole world had gone crazy, is that line of thought is often the "go to" of someone who actually is psychotic.
  16. So Summer firing Phyllis was a good start, now someone setting Phyllis on fire next will make a great beginning on my Christmas "wish list." Loved the bitterness oozing out of her, no job, wrecked relationships, living wherever....get a clue, leave town, and get a life! I hate that wavy hair on Ally, I find it extremely unflattering to her face. Her scenes with Noah are so lacking in energy, arguing like two stupid eighth graders at the school bus stop. Hopefully the Chelsea Apology Tour will end soon. It is starting to remind me of that scene from the movie "All That Jazz" where the lead character runs around an auditorium apologizing to everyone before he dies.
  17. Okay, so Lily will cut Billy to the curb soon it seems. Hi, Ashley, did you know that your buddy Tucker has a bit of side action, known as Audra? Phyllis trying to negotiate now with Jeremy Stark is ridiculous. Like she is such an ingenue to the world of consequences that accumulate as a result of intrigue. Genius Phyllis never considered that unleashing some psychotic newly paroled prisoner on Diane could get out of control? Sure. I guess she thinks now she deserves credit with Jack and Summer for trying to stop the dumpster fire she's started....and IMO Auntie Jack backtracked a bit by leaving it to Summer to decide whether to terminate the employment of Phyllis the firestarter. Did he not tell her last week that one more transgression from her would lead to him (as the head of Jabot) severing her employment?
  18. You know @Slayer2, I tried to watch today, I really did. Then I too had an epiphany of sorts. I realized I mostly watch so I can try to hold up my end of the social contract that occurs amongst the amazing people who post here. This forum has become something that makes watching the show bearable. I hope the MWT's, or some people adjacent to the show, read here too. Because IMO, if they read between the lines here, they must know that a good number of intelligent people not only think Y&R can do better, they actually want it to. So, rant over....I will try to watch tomorrow. And for God sakes, someone please paint that door at Chelsea's apartment!
  19. Oh sure, Phyllis is going to be all "skerred" of Jeremy Stark now? MWT's please spare me this ridiculous plot pivot along with Chelsea's Apology Tour. Maybe Devon can put together some stadium venues for that.
  20. Did they forbid Ashley a bra when they put her in that dress today, or is she another member of the "old broad saggy boobs club?" How much time will Abby actually get with baby Dom now that she's going to have 2 "baby daddies" wanting visitation? Kid is going to get whiplash, or his lower torso is going to develop strangely, like it's been molded by his car seat. I don't know why we are being treated with Lily explaining the basics of "Family for Dummies 1.0" to Nate the Traitor. Waste of time and her breath, IMO. I see Imani was phased out with Amanda to Virginia. Bye, Imani, we hardly knew ye. I think this arc of all the loves in need of resurrecting (Ashley and Tucker, Audra and Noah, Sally and Adam, Abby and Chance, Diane and Jack) might have worked better during the Easter holidays. Loved it when Diane slapped the Tuck out of McCall!
  21. And Devon is blinded and made deaf from the slap, and can't work in the music industry. Karma.
  22. I was rather pleased Auntie Jack told Phyllis off, but really, why waste the time and energy on a psychopathic narcissist? Sad Auntie Jack is starting to have feels for Diane, probably signifies the MWT's will make her disappear, along with her nemesis Jeremy Stark. I have zero cares about Billy/Adam/Lily fighting over who gets the right to prop Chelsea up, likewise who Audra kisses or flashes in her bra. I still side-eye Danny. He is not giving "really a nice guy" to me."
  23. Would it be out of the realm of possibilities that an allegedly independent intelligent woman like Sally could take more than 2 minutes to get into another relationship? Or it isn't left up to Cave Man Nick to decide their future? IMO something about Danny Boy is screaming manipulating scammer to me. Talking about Heather is a "no-no," before he launches into his heavy handed assessment of Lily and Billy, and a trip down Memory Lane. Not that Billy, and his ridiculous need to save Chelsea, doesn't deserve it! Is there a reason Billy and Chelsea have to always meet in her apartment? Seems like walking, or a trip to a gym would be as helpful as bouncing insults about Adam (off that filthy front door that needs painting) has been. Diane's honor won't allow her to borrow money from Jack, to pay back the money she stole from Jeremy Stark? MWT's, that doesn't make sense to me
  24. Anybody know where we can get the pattern and instructions to make that green foil wrapping paper tank top Sharon was wearing today? Finally some show drama when Jack met Jeremy Stark. Phyllis playing an innocent is going to end up in a serious ass bite for her. She totally disregards the concept her SIL might have some sort of "feels" for Diane, lies to her precious "Dottir" like it's not a decision, but a reflex. Sharon really blew her coffee counseling session with Chance suggesting Devon as an "intermediary" LOL. Watching the Abby/Devon interchange felt like the B.B.King song, " The Thrill is Gone" should have been playing. Hopefully Sally and Adam get their Love Train back on the tracks! The scene when Nick walked in on the postcoital bed, had me musing about why some of the esteemed men of the Newman clan seem to love leftovers. Oh yeah, Kyle issuing that ultimatum to Stark....somehow IMO Kyle failed register as any sort of a threat whatsoever.
  25. I'm seriously hoping Danny Boy regrets his homecoming to GC and leaves soon, maybe he can take Kyle and Noah too? IMO these three characters are all suffering from serious deficits of testosterone. I hope Jeremy Stark brings some to town, show sure needs it!
