  1. All these acts from different parts of the world. "Why AGT?" "Because it's the biggest stage in the world!" Just once, could someone say "because I want to show that America doesn’t "got" talent, but (France, Ukraine, Indonesia) does!
  2. Amy pohler looked to be in soft focus the entire time. Even with that, she doesn't look like herself, she's definitely had a lot of work done. My husband thought it was Kristen Bell.
  3. Yeah, as soon as I saw Chris I thought he looked identical to Donny Osmond. Then, I saw a little Colin Jost when he grins. But put his photo up against Donny at that age, and it would be tough to tell them apart.
  4. I got stuck on the logistics of how difficult it would be to cut and serve a "cut-away" cake. This really is a fun show. Though I agree the teams need a little more time with the clues. And I wish they would at least acknowledge that the clue kitchen was redone for each team. The way its shown, you'd think there were multiple sets and all the teams were clue-hunting simultaneously.
  5. Plus, they seem like genuinely nice people. I wonder about the budget, and how the teams get all the ingredients they need. In past seasons there were challenges based solely on money, and teams were able to make sub-par food and sell at inflated prices. I'm really glad that has changed.
  6. Yeah, that bugged me. I'm sure producers handed him the beets and encouraged him to do some "schtick" in front of the scouts. I also wondered if the guys who had mushrooms and edible plants actually found/arranged them in the 5 minutes we were told they had to do the task. It just seemed staged, even the little girls were acting with a script.
  7. Does anyone know which guys were eliminated?
  8. Google tells me that Steve Harvey does indeed have a line of fedora. Or at least, his name is attached to a line of men's hats. Weird, though, that any of the contestants on this show would know that. Except what was said was that S.H. always wears fedora, which is different.
  9. I have always wondered why the lead can't make sure they use the time to get to know all of the guys. Sometimes the guys who are quieter, who aren't pushy, who believe in taking turns, are good catches. The format of the show is skewed toward the guys who are extroverted, but also pushy, arrogant and have big egos.
  10. Funniest moment tonight: Aaron S still in "glitter ken" costume, talking about Charity picking Sean who's just a boy, while he, Aaron, is a MAN who can hunt, fish, camp, ski, etc. A real MAN. And then he stretches his arms up to reveal GLITTER covering his real-man armpits.
  11. I'm kind of glad Jane is gone. Everyone saw her as a maternal figure who was so intelligent. Or maybe that's how she sees herself. Just the whole. "I don't know what this clue means, I need to show it to Jane!" was starting to bug me.
  12. How I read the clue: champion racer who records for beer. So, I know the last part is wrong, but that's how I read it. Chris's clue did not have Tennessee in it at all. Not even close. And I'm trying to figure out why fedora = steve Harvey. Does he really "always wear a fedora?" I don't know if she made that up or I just never noticed.
  13. I really disliked the tasks of walking on Legos, which could be painful and aggravate old injuries, and digging into fish guts. Tying these into "walking the red carpet" made no sense. I think expanding on the makeup/dress-up concept would have been better, having stations where they had to tie, fasten, different items. The fish guts thing just seemed aimed at humiliating them.
  14. I thought Jayne would be one of my favorites. But I really didn't like that she told the other that Travis shared his clue with her.
  15. 2 hour episode. Paisani truck got eliminated the first hour, the Jamaican tacos truck was eliminated the second hour.
  16. I agree .It seemed very disrespectful to kick off their former teammate without trying to work things out. Seems to me by the time they kicked him off the team, they had already contacted the other guy and got permission for the switch. Think about how long that whole process would take, including airline ticket, transportation to and from airports, etc. There's a big part left out of the show. I am rooting against khana for this. The never explained how the teams are suddenly able to come up with new menu items and magically have all the ingredients. Create a dish inspired by another dish, then copy a competitors dish. Oh sure, I just happen to have all the ingredients I need for making a dish I never planned for! A big part of the competition used to be budgeting, shopping, buying enough but not too much of what you need. I don't have to see them shop, but an explanation of how this was done is needed.
  17. The brother's disguise should have been more subtle. A wig, sure, but a wig that didn't look like it came from the Halloween shop. And maybe glasses instead of a mustache. He was giving himself away asking probing questions, he needed to be listening, not interrogating.
  18. I am really enjoying this season - or, I am anticipating enjoying it now that the blonde woman is gone, and I hope there are no more tantrums. I see that Chris looks like an Osmond. But his facial expressions makes me think of Colin Jost. I don't really have any guess for the rest. Is there a picture of that board with all the clues? because looking at that would be helpful in figuring out who everyone is.
  19. I agree. he was too loud, too aggressive, and talked too much. I was thinking the woman with the Jamaican taco truck looked familiar - the one with the short white hair. Sure enough: https://masterchef.fandom.com/wiki/Shelly_Flash I was wondering - when a team sells out all their fod - can they go back and sell something else? I'm thinking, pick up ingredients for a drink or a dessert that can be made quickly, and go back to selling? cause that's what I would do, rather than just stop.
  20. So, right off the bat 2 teams had trouble with their trucks. This is ridiculous. The show should be able to ensure that everything is in working order before they start. I did like that the team who got eliminated was the team who was harassing and smack talking another team. Though I suspect there could have been a lot more of that going on, and the episode was edited to paint them as the instigators.
  21. Gabi knew, and let us know she knew, when she stepped out of the limo and admonished producers not to let Kaity step out into the mud. She knew Kaity was meeting Zach after her, so Kaity was getting the proposal.
