  1. I'm glad the consultants had the same issues I did. Fat milk coffee sounds like it's higher in fat than regular coffee. Brings to mind the fad from a few years ago, "bulletproof coffee" which was coffee with a pat of butter. Pizza girl pasta sauce is confusing. Is it pizza sauce or pasta sauce? Generally, pasta sauce is cooked, simmered for a long time. Pizza sauce tastes more like raw tomatoes, it can be uncooked or cooked for a short time. Yes, you CAN use them interchangeably. But usually they are 2 different products. And I'm not sure the supermarket needs yet another brand of sauce (or frozen pizza)
  2. A lot of kids love chicken. But only the breaded and fried kind. Chicken tenders with a dipping sauce, yes. Grilled chicken? No way. Every fast food place knows this. What I don't understand is why, when they didn't have enough mayo, they couldn't get more. They were able to decide to add bacon to the sandwiches and get the bacon. Why couldn't they get more mayo? Oh, right. For the DRAMA.
  3. Donny osmond isn't just some obscure 70s pop star. He had a long-running show in Vegas, starred in a Broadway show, and performed all over the country in "Joseph". Then he was on Dancing with the Stars and The Mask. He and Marie had a TV variety show, and I'm pretty sure he hosted a TV game show. It astounds me that nobody has figured it out yet, and that their guesses have been so far afield.
  4. Yes, and the HOH gets "zapped" through the portal to the HOH room, has to announce to the others that he is HOH while they fake surprise. The whole thing is so fake and over-acted it makes me cringe with secondhand embarrassment. Somehow it's reminding me of the Power Rangers show my son was hooked on. Another problem I have is the "scary-verse " where the are supplied with hospital gowns. Hasn't the trope of "dangerous people with mental illness" expired by now? Psychiatric disorders should not be the stuff of haunted house themes.
  5. Yes! You nailed it. Chris's hair looks like every blond baby's photo. Not quite bald, the little piece that's there styled to show that there IS some hair there.
  6. Joey, did you know that the word is RELATIONSHIP? When you say "RELA-SHIP" it makes you suddenly seem stupid.
  7. Yes, that is the inherent contradiction in the show. Especially when it is down to the top few contenders. All 4 are expected to be in love, ready to be engaged, if they are chosen. It is illogical for a couple to be ready to be engaged when one person is fully committed and the other is dating 3 other people. Charity says its "one week away from proposals," expecting each man to be ready to propose IF she chooses them. The men are viewed as immature if they can't say for certain they want to propose. Charity can say that Xavier isn't ready to commit, but is she? She can't decide which man to choose, so how is it fair to expect the men to be 100 percent certain? This isn't a knock on Charity, just a comment on the irrationality of the show.
  8. here's Donny - yeah, Chris is a clone of his dad.
  9. I am pretty out of touch with more modern "celebrities". But, Chris being a carbon copy of Donny Osmond was so obvious to me, I feel superior to all these contestants. Teen idol in the 70's? Billy Idol? Elton John? Elton John might wear colorful coats, but he is not KNOWN for that - maybe colorful outrageous GLASSES, but not coats. ANd thinkng he might be from Utah? Wow. even when Gabriel talked about Joseph's coat of many colors, he was shouted down. Donny Osmond's most known acting role was playing that role. gabriel HAS to know, right? As out of touch as I am, I could certainly see that "10 babies" is Nick Cannon, rght? isn't that what he is most known for these days? having multiple babies with multiple women? Amy Carter's son?!?!?! Awesome! I remember her as the cute freckle-faced girl with the strawberry-blond hair, often in braids, who lived in the White House.
  10. sorry, but it was a woman empowerment event of some sort. ( I forget what exactly) and the sexual innuendo of "pink taco" was perfect for the event. I totally believe that they sold that many
  11. So Gordon is supposed to choose one of these idiots for some kind of partnership? Most of the people I know, who do NOT own any kind of food related business, could do better on these tasks. Lan doesn't seem awful. Caroline is psycho, and Ashley-lashes is delusional if she thinks those eyelashes are working for her. Of the guys, longhair Tony stands out as being less of a clown than the other 2.
  12. There must have been Jenny mccarthy clues somewhere along the way. The cast ignored them and I think the TV audience did as well. I can't even think of anything Jenny M was famous for besides the partners she had. Did anyone see any clues on the board that pointed to her? Was she on The View for a short time? What I remember her for is claiming she cured her son of autism through diet, then blasting jim Carrey for not continuing a relationship with her son after they broke up, because it was devastating to an autistic kid to lose a relationship with an adult. Even though she had written a book about how her son was cured. Other than that, I have no clue about her celebrity status.
  13. Tyler was amused but also a little embarrassed talking about "pink tacos." I loved that it was that dish that gave the vegans the win. I liked that this season really focused on the trucks making delicious food, and so avoiding dome of the cheap tricks of past seasons. I'm recalling teams getting cheap items in order to reduce costs, and outrageously inflated prices. That said, I'd still like to know more about the rules, and how those ingredients magically appeared. Lamb chops aren't available in large quantities just because you want them. And the vegans had decided on fried shiso leaves, suddenly fresh ones are right there. Were staff members assigned to run to the stores? Was there a budget? Who set the prices the teams could charge? So happy vegans won.
  14. All these acts from different parts of the world. "Why AGT?" "Because it's the biggest stage in the world!" Just once, could someone say "because I want to show that America doesn’t "got" talent, but (France, Ukraine, Indonesia) does!
  15. Amy pohler looked to be in soft focus the entire time. Even with that, she doesn't look like herself, she's definitely had a lot of work done. My husband thought it was Kristen Bell.
  16. Yeah, as soon as I saw Chris I thought he looked identical to Donny Osmond. Then, I saw a little Colin Jost when he grins. But put his photo up against Donny at that age, and it would be tough to tell them apart.
  17. I got stuck on the logistics of how difficult it would be to cut and serve a "cut-away" cake. This really is a fun show. Though I agree the teams need a little more time with the clues. And I wish they would at least acknowledge that the clue kitchen was redone for each team. The way its shown, you'd think there were multiple sets and all the teams were clue-hunting simultaneously.
  18. Plus, they seem like genuinely nice people. I wonder about the budget, and how the teams get all the ingredients they need. In past seasons there were challenges based solely on money, and teams were able to make sub-par food and sell at inflated prices. I'm really glad that has changed.
  19. Yeah, that bugged me. I'm sure producers handed him the beets and encouraged him to do some "schtick" in front of the scouts. I also wondered if the guys who had mushrooms and edible plants actually found/arranged them in the 5 minutes we were told they had to do the task. It just seemed staged, even the little girls were acting with a script.
  20. Does anyone know which guys were eliminated?
  21. Google tells me that Steve Harvey does indeed have a line of fedora. Or at least, his name is attached to a line of men's hats. Weird, though, that any of the contestants on this show would know that. Except what was said was that S.H. always wears fedora, which is different.
  22. I have always wondered why the lead can't make sure they use the time to get to know all of the guys. Sometimes the guys who are quieter, who aren't pushy, who believe in taking turns, are good catches. The format of the show is skewed toward the guys who are extroverted, but also pushy, arrogant and have big egos.
