This. It reminded me of the “broken man who needs a hug” character Dodger he played so damn well on China Beach. I really enjoyed his scenes with GF, who rose to the occasion. I also really liked the Kristina / Blaze convo and really wish the whole surrogate idea would die permanently.

So the guy flirting with Carly at Kelly’s is the big bad Pikeman guy who may or may not be linked to the Pautuck guys? The actor was decent and looks familiar, but if he’s to stay I would’ve preferred stunt casting. I basically only listened to Ava/Nina who are always fun together, but if I was into traditions and mariage, getting proposed to in someone’s kitchen, would not cut it at all. Has Finn always been ND?

I was thinking the same. GH suddenly reminded me of Coronation Street plots. 😂

Guess Austin didn’t save Dante’s number in his contacts. 🤔 Then again, if D. needed to look up his card before dialling, it would make sense. I’m thinking we didn’t see the shooter because they want us to be ambivalent about Cyrus’ redemption. I would love it if Cyrus was for real and Martin had suddenly become the organization’s leader after using all of C’s money for himself. It’s not as if he has any integrity after we saw him just hand over Nina’s name. He could also go back and give Michael some grief which I would love to see.

And Yuri looked particularly hot today so that’s one thing I’ll be looking forward to watching. I’m finding the Anna/Nina spat super childish but I skip over a lot so I might’ve missed something. The Ned/Nina interaction was more fun.

I agree. Plus if it was really a question of his contract not being renewed, they should’ve had ample time to plan a better exit. It reminds me of Nik’s “body” being put in the closet for weeks without anyone checking to see if he was still there.

IMHO RH would fit best at Y&R but they’ve already hired 4 older and experienced actors and have shafted them with horrible writing and a surprise firing, so I don’t wish that on him either. The only one avoiding this fate was in for a very short stint and married to a lead actress. Soaps really aren’t what they used to be. 😞

I missed today’s ep. Is Austin still somewhere waiting to be found?

I remember Todd Lasance from so many things, starting with Crownies and he was fine, but I didn’t like Olivia Mann. Her mouth barely moved and I can’t remember it being that obvious in Legends of Tomorrow. The chopper stunt at the end reminded me more of Hawaii 5-0 than NCIS. Hopefully ep 2 will be better.

I don’t like the new character played by Blake Berris. He oozes stalker vibes and been there, done that. Just as I was finally warming up to Li Shin (I really enjoyed his therapy scenes), they bump him off. Of course, with Rolf in the vicinity, one can never be counted dead. Still… Camila and Remington seem to have been written pretty quickly. And why go through the therapy scenes mentioning a long lost love? Is she about to show up in town? Are we still seeing scenes from when the bad man was still there? I keep thinking that when he got annoyed at people, he wrote them out of the show and that could explain things.

And guilt ridden Anna continuously apologizing to the dufus. 🤮 Why is Halloween lasting a whole week? What is this, Y&R?

This. I had to mute most of the ep. The only kid I would’ve wanted to see costumed would’ve been Ace, but no. Spencer’s costume (including the feet!) and make up were great, but I didn’t understand why him and Trina got all dressed up to stay at the Gallery? Maybe I muted to much.

I came back for the Cricket ep because I live to watch soap flashbacks from the long ago past. Seeing Nina was a lovely surprise. I had forgotten how utterly insufferable Phyllis was, even back then. And I still can’t stand Danny’s too dark hair.

I still like the goofiness of DOOL doing a Halloween episode. My favourite was the Holly, Johnny, Chanel and new guy plot? Sketch? Raven was great as the slasher. It was also nice to see how well Jessica (Sloan) and Ari (Nicole) play off each other. I would love to see more of them being allies instead of enemies and wouldn’t mind Eric going away again but I rarely get nice things…
