Good news for Beyond The Gates - more time to create award worthy material.

The rumor about Drew not being Drew is that somehow, he’s: I don’t think the show is that good though. I’m not a fan of the being burned storyline because it will brush over all the horrors of it, à la Willow’s cancer, 2-week paralysis, organ transplants, etc. I find it disrespectful to sufferers, when so many other options were available. Very happy to see Lynn Herring back on my screen and having a prominent scene partner. I wonder if the delay in solving the Sidwell plot was due to her personal circumstances. If so, this means Michael’s bombing is an improvisation and the show never does well there. Cyrus is definitely going down. I wonder if we’re trading him in for Sidwell?

I saw it as part of her job and although she could’ve developed feelings along the way (he’s a decent bloke to me), her affair and the fact that he told her he loved her and their life repeatedly to her face and she said nothing and left, leads me to be she couldn’t care less about him.

A Bluesky account discussing the CM thing mentioned that John Stamos posted something similar (naked, back side showing from afar) when he turned 60 and all I can think is, “Rick Hearst turned 60 yesterday 😁”… But his last pics are of pizza. 😂

His stories started w/ something like: “it’s not 75 hard but 365 consistant”. I see it as a reference to gym work but maybe others are not? I really don’t think “Mr. Hallmark” is posting against his brand, anything risqué.

I was very distracted by Curtis’ bling too. 🤣 Ideally, I would have Sonny get a debilitating stroke and have Michael usher him away to hide his incapacity. When he comes back (new casting or not), he announces his dad’s death. But I can’t have good things so pyrotechnics for the son it is. Sigh. Could small amounts of digitalis cause atrial defibrillation? 🤔 Sasha staying at the Qs only works to get Jason involved with her. I guess we’re in the lull now, before the next tragedy gives us good dialogues and performances, but I dread the upcoming Carly show. And now I’m seeing ridiculous rumors about Drew not being Drew and… yuck. Not impressed with January GH. P.S. I have a personal saying: nothing good ever happens in January and so far, GH sadly tracks.

Ouf, that Lulu is a lot. Very glad Dante gave her a taste of reality, which she took in like a four year old. Yuck. I sure hope we’ve seen the last of Charlotte and her “pah pah’. Now we have SB tearing up during a scene with MB. Something’s going on BTS, but I hope the mention of Cates means that we’ll get some sort of closure on that front. The writing was so good for a while and then pouf, everything is back to being a mess.

I agree, especially since the character already went the long coma route and Lulu just got out of a years long one. I guess leaving would’ve given Michael too much agency. Now his mommy and daddy can keep him close. The main reason I dislike the character is that the writers don’t let him tie his shoelaces w/out the help of one or both of them.

Thought the same. This would only make sense if Brennan had recruited her when she was very young, been her handler at the WSB, and forced her to do horrible things à la Nikita. Right now, it’s completely irrational and over the top. Have we eliminated the possibility that she was Alex? I think I’ve asked this before… Really wish show had surprised me and had Sonny die of a heart attack on NYE. Now, I don’t care why he doesn’t want to take care of his health issues, I don’t care about hot doctor helping him, I just don’t care. No matter how good NLG and MW are, this “lost divorce settlement” money, with Nikolas still alive, is too bonkers too. So no Thanksgiving, hardly any Christmas and not one NYE kiss. So very disappointing, GH.

IIRC, she skated around it making Lucas think that she said it, but really didn’t. The whole set up made me think she was playing Lucas and still wants Ava to die a painful death, while he was thinking she was supporting him, so I hated it. Speaking of things I hated, goodbye to spectacularly crappy 2024, but thank you all for helping me stay somewhat sane through it all. I have high hopes for 2025 and wish you all the best! 🎉

Call me grumpy, but in this age of streaming and on demand, GH showing repeats of forgettable recent episodes, is very disappointing.

Glad Liz was saved from the triumvirate of hospital doom, but wish she would’ve been the one to call Ric instead of him showing up to “rescue” her. I’m fine with Lucky being a bartender if he makes Kristina more palatable because she’s not going off screen anytime soon. i wholeheartedly agree that the “Ava is broke” plot is absolutely ridiculous and was annoyed by Alexis going to Sonny to give him info that will take away Avery from her mom and go behind Kristina’s back to undermine her. The girl is already a powder keg, no need to light the match.

I’ve only seen the restaurant scenes where she originally found out. Some people have talked about her divorce settlement being “overturned”, but I haven’t seen anything and she should still have money even if she had to return the proceeds of the Windermere sale. Said overturning would never happen IRL and Ava would be on the warpath to recover her money, no matter how she lost it, but on this show, she’s too busy playing friends with Nina.

If they’re doing Tracy/Martin, I’m here for it. Two veteran soap actors, with JE famous for turning, as Soap Confidential likes to say, “sh*t into sugar”. Tracy can’t be with someone too good, so shades of grey with a Tad twinkle in his eyes Martin is fine with me. She may also try to get back at him for Tracy putting him up to seducing her, and/or make her jealous.

Saw the previews, guess it was just a stomach ache. Sigh… I’m not a fan of Valentin or Charlotte so, meh. They’re also diminishing my interest in Lulu. ”You gave me the only gift on my list this year” from a woman who just came out of the coma after 4yrs, is rich. Didn’t Ava sell Wyndemere using Lucy as her real estate agent? So the Cassadines bought it from her anonymously? And Ava is still not investigating the loss of her money? Glad that for once, Anna wasn’t a sucker and got background info on Emma.

I missed a few scenes of yesterday’s episode and I know we’re all going “not gonna happen” when it comes to Sonny’s heart clenching, but… The hug that Genie Francis gave to his character brought tears to both their eyes and MB was full teary eyed when he talked to Kristina near the tree. If it’s his exit, it would really be a great one due to the unexpectedness and lack of drama, which I would applaud.

Thank you the background info, I wasn’t watching much when this happened. My rationale for thinking this is out of nowhere (although I didn’t mention it here), is because I haven’t seen the character in years (show’s choice to have him offscreen), has now been recast by an actor I remember in a different role on a much beloved by me, different show. Up to now, I saw him in a few scenes, but don’t recall him mentioning Wiley - maybe in his first scenes w/ Ava/Maura? Also, does he nave a link to Nina that I don’t know, and knows where she lives?

I missed a good chunk of the episode (including the Lucas yelling) but Nina, Drew, and Willow make me #TeamMichaelWhoCoveredAMurder which I hate. And as much as love Jack, suffering through him having a long chat with Joss was too much for me. I was hoping for a mistletoe kiss with Carly though. Nululu’s storyline doesn’t show her in the best light. (Dumb, dumb, stubborn, careless with other people’s feelings). The Sonny heart clutching was unexpected and interesting, but I’m lowering my expectations because - gesturing widely at this whole year.

Did I miss something or is Ava not even investigating her loss of funds? I would’ve expected her to be on the war path but now it seems like a writer hiccup?

I loved Nina calling Ava for help and her bringing Ric. It made things so much more interesting (RH taking the whisky bottle before going into the kitchen was hilarious). It was too bad Alexis called him away. Couldn’t she just invite him for Christmas on the phone? A Brennan day is always a good day for me but Carly inviting him to spend Christmas Eve w/ her and Sonny is… awkward? Why did he even accept? Oh well, I’m always up for the show mixing people up. Cody was annoying me to no end with his “woe is me I don’t want to have a family, please beg me to go” attitude. And we all knew he would show up i the end. Can anyone remind me of the show schedule is for next week?

I think that’s what it is. Yet in the end, I’m sure his departure will be for a ridiculous reason and look completely unplanned as have others.

I guess they are, but the energy I saw from Jason/SB in their last scene was very fatherly. I think they could’ve made Sasha his long lost daughter had they not gone the ridiculous Holly/Robert route. I would’ve enjoyed seeing them interacting and her nudging him out of the curmudgeon personality he has now. (I know he’s a deadbeat dad to his sons, but having Sasha bond or not with them would’ve been interesting to watch for me also.) Anything to keep him out of Carly’s screeching reach. In summary, I hope he’ll be a uncle type protector to her, because I only see Sofia’s personal sparkle in that relationship.

Yes, and IIRC, she kept her coat/blazer on the entire time. Sigh…

No one knows yet. We also don’t know if the same person stabbed Dex. One person could’ve stabbed him, and another (probably Cyrus) give him digitalis. No clue about a link between Sam & Dex outside of being operated on at GH. If it weren’t for us seeing Cyrus inject Sam, I would suspect new surgeon Isaiah. Speaking of him, the steam room scenes w/ Jordan were far from steamy. This whole episode was boring to me but it was nice to see Cam again. Sasha teasing Jason about the reindeer sweater was cute. “Knit stretches…”. 🤣 Not sure if they were chem testing Tracy & Martin, but the actors looked like they had a ball filming these scenes. “Psych!”, indeed. 🤣

Yes, she is. But she did tell him about them having had a “brief relationship”.
