All these people telling Carly that Brennan is DANGEROUS and that she should stop seeing him THIS MINUTE, while she’s been 100% living in Mobville for decades. Spare me. Of course she’ll go ballistic when she finds out about Joss, but the double standard hurts, and the way the writers are infantilizing another female character grates. Speaking of hurt, Ava is taking another tumble down into helpless land. Didn’t Nina agree to give her a loan? I could understand her grovelling tour and being taken down was due to the fact that she allowed Sonny’s meds to be messed with, but this is completely manufactured to take a strong female character down, and I hate it. Especially when separated from reality Kristina, is allowed to kick her. It was nice to see Daniel Cosgrove on my screen but his suit fit worse than Drew’s and he just seems slimy. Two things we already have in Drew so yuck.

I’m so happy they finally took Brooklyn and Chase out of the awkward bedroom scenes. Amanda Setton rocks the drama and Swickard does anger well. I liked him again as he confronted Lulu. GF and MB must enjoy working together, but their scenes as Laura and Sonny were vomit worthy. Same. Same. Same.

I like Cosgrove too, I’m just sorry he’ll be playing a politician probably against Drew. He can play charming well and think he would’ve made a better NuBrennan, but not my call.

My money is also on new lawyer being Bigoted Natalia’s family. He’s no musician so maybe a nephew? Blaze’s brother was a musician, no?

I had seen in an Instagram ad that a Bachelor would be there and when I tuned in, there he was with his blinding teeth and bad acting and I remembered why this show annoyed me so much.. Was happy to see the loan convo between Nina and Ava. I always enjoyed them together. I hope the money thing won’t get in their way. It was nice to see the two seconds of Liz and Lucky being alone, but the no sex thing is becoming a rule on the show for everyone except Joss and once in a while Dillow, and feels childish. Two grown people who have known each other forever and are just reconnecting can’t tell people they need alone time? Even if it was just for a long needed talk. Carly and Jack are just friends with no benefits. Brooklyn has the hottest husband on screen and we keep seeing her overdressed in the bedroom. I don’t need graphic details, just a nod to sex being a normal part of loving or just for fun relationships. I miss the playfulness of a Liesl/Scotty and Lucy/Martin type thing. And I really miss Liesl.

I was yelling at Alexis not to touch that dagger and she of course, did. Either Sidwell is trying to prove he’s a long lost Cassadine, or he’ll attempt to frame her for a murder (attempted murder if it’s Sonny, as we all know he won’t die). Speaking of Sonny not dying, didn’t Bigoted Natalia arrange medical help for him in California? Why is he still clutching himself and more importantly, *not* dying? I’m watching in real time, shifting from GH to Beyond the Gates but ABC and CBS have the same commercial break times and I often wind up doing something else…

That might’ve been me. The new Brennan is so low energy, he killed every ounce of spark the character had with LW. CarSon 156 could’ve been the plan all along, and CM’s charm threw it out of kilter. I watched during the BTG’s commercials and I’m starting to think the “Joss could be a fantastic spy” was a Brennan ploy to blackmail Jason into becoming one. It would make more sense and could be a good exit story for SB when he gets done. But who am I to try and make sene of this craziness.

Yeah, I wish the cast had graphics of their names below because my brain is too old to remember 20 people and their familial links in a few episodes. 🤣 I’m happy to read the character info here, it’ll help greatly.

I was afraid I would find the acting too over the top, but I really liked it. The sets are varied and look good (love that kitchen!) except for the blandest hospital set ever. Speaking of bland, the nurse and her husband. I hope they get interesting soon. I knew I would love Tamara but I really like the granddaughters and their outfits (yes, I’m shallow about fashion). Also the real estate agent screwing the whole family over to get that big commission. 🤣

I spent the last episode thinking Brady and Steve were dumb enough to gt kidnapped by an elderly lady. Oh, here’s a kidnap victim let’s yap! yap! yap! away instead of calling the police who might search the mausoleum house and find good old Rafe 2 doors away. Sigh. I did appreciate Javi and Leo being #TeamJada - girl needs all the help she can get. Completely over Kristen and her vials and wish EJ was not sabotaging his relationship with Belle because I enjoy her when she’s with him, the actors have good chemistry.

Yeah, Aiden is miscast and also has too orange a tint on my screen. As foreshadowed, Brennan is turning into a creepy bad guy and it jives with Anna going off her rocker, when she thought he came too close to Emma. Of course, his days are now numbered since Sonny and Jason will go after him and Carly will be rescued AGAIN, along with Joss. I’m tired of hospital “re-animation” scenes. GF looked great though.

Chase going on about how invaluable an experience being pregnant is, made me want to vomit which considering he was doing it half-naked, was quite sad. Meanwhile, Brooklyn keeps her coat on, in her bedroom, the entire time. She was already wearing a big blazer! Just have these scenes in another location, damn it. I know I should be worried about Lucky, but I’m not. If he survives it would be a waste of time and if he doesn’t, and they only brought JJ back to kill him, I’ll have many other feelings.

Gotta hand it to Jeff Kober - the guy does not phone it in. BH was good too. That reasoning was all over the place even for an unhinged character though. Missed that completely - thanks! Entitled Lulu grates *so much*. The NuBrennan actor was pretty bad in his scenes with the kid.

Writers made international man of mystery Brennan the son of a plumber. We’re sure moving away from sparkle, but it’ll fit the new actor better. Maybe it’s because I’m remembering him too much as the boring cop on Y&R. And Carly distressed over a kitchen water leak, needing the help of a big man to fix it. Show is so 1950s sometimes. I see a Carly/Sonny reunion in the near future.

Good news! I’m able to watch on demand episodes through the CityTV site as it recognizes my provider credentials, instead of the Apple TV CityTV app that doesn’t. Will still email support to tell them their app sucks because I’m not a fan of watching on a laptop. As for the show, guess we’re two seconds away from Carly/Sonny Part 77. Sigh. What really hurts is that Sonny made more sense during their convo than he has in a long time. Which is totally the contrary of the stupid Jason/Sasha ploy to “protect the baby from the Quartermaines” as if they were worse than a mob killer. Make it stop. I enjoy Liz much more when she’s doing shenanigans than when she’s “Nurse Baldwin”.

I no longer have recording equipment. I could subscribe to TekSavvy’s PVR option (I use their streaming TV service) but I’m not sure it’s worth it to record one show that doesn’t thrill me. It was the only show I continuously watched live and this forum had a lot to do with that. I’ll see if I can complain to CityTV, it’s a new setup so maybe they’ll be room for improvement.

I’m in Canada and found out last night that the CityTV app, where I could watch the show in the evening, no longer exists and the new app (CityTV+) doesn’t give me access to watch even if I subscribe to the channel with my provider. I hate having my watching choices taken away and refuse to subscribe to Prime, to then be allowed to pay for CityTV+ (you can’t subscribe as a stand alone). Since I’ll be watching Beyond The Gates at 2 pm as of next week, I guess my GH pause will be longer than expected. I will miss interacting with you GH watchers a lot, but will still follow.

In my market, GH will be going directly against Beyond the Gates at 2 pm so hard decisions might ensue.

I hope BTG will give Lindstrom all the room his talent merits. I thought he preferred to be less on screen for personal projects, etc. but this leads me to think GH had a great talent they chose not to use. Onwards.

But as far as I remember, Sonny never found out about this so that’s not the reason he kicked her out. Unless someone remembers better, I think @tessaray is right in saying she was kicked out due to recording the bigot, which is mind blowing. Either way, it’s good that this custody story is over and now we can look forward to the many others to come (just kidding 😉).

I skipped a lot of the material because I liked the actor and the beginning of his stint (even if with beach bum looks he should never have been cast as Jagger), from being interesting and flirty, with everyone on the show starting to see Sonny for the thug he is, he became obsessed with taking Sonny down and acting irrationally. He supposedly got with Ava as part of this and questioned Kristina in the hospital after the Ava/pool/baby loss accident and arrested her after she got out to put pressure on Sonny I think. Anyhow, the debacle was due to a change in writing regimes and was a sh*t way to treat an actor and a legacy character, but MB complained and a change apparently happened. I see the same happening to the Brennan character which could’ve been why CM jumped ship, or not. Just my personal speculation. Being more charming and interesting than MB doesn’t seem to pay. Bitter, me? You bet, which is why I’m pausing viewing.

Thank you @ASpring1900, the version I saw on IG was focused on MB and… it wasn’t fun to watch. Poor Tanisha, her dress didn’t seem to give her much dance leeway. I only saw bits of the group interview and Mathison seemed pretty obnoxious to me, talking over people, etc. MB didn’t seem to enjoy that (I wouldn’t either if I was any of them). Finola and Laura were definitely more attuned to the energy the show needed.

NuBrenann would’ve worked better as an FBI agent, not as an international man of mystery. Why the Valentin attempted murder and now back to Cyrus/Joss? I’m getting whiplash. I missed the scenes with him and Carly. Why are they back in PC? I thought she would remain there considering how much she wanted to be with Michael and because her pal Jason will be there soon too. I think the Liz/Lucky scenes are being block taped which would explain the lack of interaction with other characters and scenery change. The actors’ skill and chemistry are saving these scenes big time.

What I find particularly strange is that there are no words from Mesure saying the usual “it was a fun/great experience, I thank X for giving me this opportunity but I especially want to thank my fans, blah, blah…” He could’ve been quoted in the articles that went out without too much hooplah, but nothing. Anyhow, I hope his situation is good and interesting work awaits. It was a lot of fun while it lasted.

It was a worry he had before starting the show, and then had fun doing it. Unless I missed something, there are no current quotes from him in article I linked and no reason given for him “opting to leave the role”. The change seems sudden compared to other characters whose departure was telegraphed weeks in advance. Anyhow, he was my only fun reason to watch the show and having him replaced by another OLTL actor doesn’t bode well after the many precious misses.
