  1. New episodes tonight. I watched the first one and am half way through the second. They actually ended the ep with a no sale, and then follow-up chyron of sold for no profit. No loss either, it was a break even on their investment. The house did look really nice, but they cited all the changes in the market (and we know it's been all over the place, with changing interest rates, and depending on when exactly filmed, etc).
  2. I wanted to try all the dishes. They all looked so good, even the tofu. I did want Michael to win, too, but I like all the Titans so I was going to be happy no matter what. Brook's must have really tasted good to get over the "messy" plating hurdle. The judge was tough, but I think consistent and fair. I did cringe with the 5 for Michael's tofu dishes, and then Tiffany only got a 6. On a side note, I think Michael was looking really good. I do watch his other shows, like the outdoor show, but he seemed just a little more ... something... fit? not just trim, but overall looking good. Maybe more relaxed?
  3. Other people have done the checkout- it's now always Wendy. I know I've seen some of the judges do it, and other Fieri family.
  4. While I do agree the staging of the living areas was "too much" and too cluttered, that's easy to change. I did like keeping that sectional. I also liked how they changed that one room into a dining room and how it flowed well into the kitchen, and the addition of that wooden screen half wall and bar. That half wall screen seemed very MCM to me. I also liked the bright fun accent walls in the bedrooms. I even liked the green and blue bathroom fixtures. I do agree that the "terrazzo" wallpaper was not good, though and did NOT match/help those green fixtures. I also thought they might add cabinet vanity enclosure around the green sink rather than leaving the spindly bare metal supports. So I'd say it's a mixed bag. As a vacation rental, though, I think it'd be fun. I once stayed in a place with a massive zoo theme complete with giant stuffed animals and plaster "jungle" elements in each room. So much fun for a vacation, but not something I'd want to live in permanently.
  5. Sounds like the same episodes that were missing when I watched. I almost stopped watching, because it was a lot, but I did have the recaps and my memory from the original run. Well, except I didn't remember the last season that well. I think I had stopped watching regularly then. And at least Prime wasn't skipping or freezing for me. I agree, Abby and Roxanne both ended up annoying me. I did like them better than I remembered, though. And Jonathon was an an ass, but an enjoyable to watch character, at least for me.
  6. New season begins Aug 22. I'll be watching, of course. :)
  7. It was very holey back when I watched in 2021 on Prime, as well. Is it the same episodes that are missing? I wonder if there actors or topics in them they no longer want to show?
  8. I love Antonia as a competitor, love her as a judge, and I'm sure I'd love her food if I got the chance to eat it. She seems like an awesome person. But I don't love her as a host. I don't think she's bad or anything, it's just a certain something is lacking or "off" and I can't quite put my finger on it. As for this show and the finale. I agree, it just hasn't held my attention. I put it on and then don't really pay attention until the food presentation. I use it as "background noise" but I pay even less attention that I do to a L&O rerun. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
  9. I think they have a sibling vibe. Telling corny jokes, poking fun at each other, etc.
  10. As a child of the 80s, I knew these versions of these 2 songs before I knew the originals. They are both still on my playlists.
  11. This is so true! And a great way to put it. As for the beach scene, I was surprised at the full nudity.
  12. 12 tons removed! Dissatisfied with the cleanup? Ha! At least the surgery is keeping her from rehoarding (for now). That said, I hope her recovery goes well.
  13. This isn't just normal hoarding (frustrating) behavior. She's got a whole other level of control going on here. Many/most other hoarders get very difficult and manipulative to get their way, and throw tantrums. We've all seen it. But she's just got another layer of... something.. going on.
  14. Wow, she got to Cory. Cory! She must be even more frustrating in person.
  15. You still need somewhere to store the floaties and other "toys" for the lake. Even all-weather outdoor furniture often has cushions or other parts that need to be stored. The kerosene or gas tanks or charcoal for a grill, too, and maintenance equipment for the hot tub. And shovels and yard maintenance tools.
  16. On the Breezy Beach House, since they got rid of the storage garage (which, I agree does look better as a den/tv room) where do they store things? I didn't see a storage shed or basement or anything. Some of that stuff is going to have to come in for the winter. I also wonder what the other side of the house looks like - the side that you drive up to. There doesn't seem to be a door on that side so you have to walk around to the lake side to get in? That said, it did look really nice. Even with those oddities, I'd stay there. :)
  17. There's going to a 5 week celebrity chef edition and it's featuring chefs that haven't been on before. The have all done TOC, though. I'm still looking forward to it. Guy Fieri Sets Five-Week Celebrity Chef Edition of ‘Guy’s Grocery Games’ at Food Network (EXCLUSIVE)
  18. I want to know why Darene had to take care of her mom from such a young age? Changing her diapers? helping her up and down? Where was the father or grandparents? Also what about nursing homes or home health aids? This is Canada, not the US where it could be prohibitively expensive.
  19. Original air date: June 8, 2023
  20. I just saw this on Padma's IG, too.
  21. Original air date: June 1, 2023
  22. Color me surprised, Lia's accepted the aftercare therapy
  23. I want to know how much tonnage was removed from those few spaces they were able to clean. I also want to know where they put all those boxes they were keeping.
  24. I think Ken has felt defeated for so long and now has the strength of his kids and the whole production crew behind him. I also think he doesn't want to see this chance and this help wasted, or more wasted that it already is. This is probably all subconscious, too, but still the motivating factors.
  25. She seems like one of those hoarders you hear about that kill themselves after a clean out. Granted, those are usually "surprise" clean outs while they're gone, but still. She's really really so far gone. Yes, she's got all the hoarder manipulation tactics, but this seems like even something else/more to me.
