Guy's Grocery Games - General Discussion
FormerMod-a1 replied to David T. Cole's topic in Guy's Grocery Games
I only really noticed the larger workstations, I think. There was like a counter top oven on each too (I'm sure it's not an oven, maybe a salamandar type thing, I didn't get a good look). So I thought maybe they have more equipment at their stations and don't have to run and share the microwave or other things like that. Agree, the "grocery store" itself didn't look that different. -

Guy's Grocery Games - General Discussion

I don't know, but it'll be interesting seeing what new/different. I'm just glad we got a more normal episode after last week's return to delivery version. (Which, I assume was filmed some time ago and just hadn't been aired). -
Guy's Ranch Kitchen - General Discussion

I've enjoyed these last 2 new episodes. I liked the Halloween theme in that it wasn't over the top and still produced some might fine looking food. -
Season 17/18 (2021/2022) Discussion

Watched the Keegan Michael Key 7 episode from last night. His forward/reverse was crazy, and fun. -
Oh man! How could I forget kitchen gadgets and key chains? I have a keychain from everywhere I've ever traveled to - started it in grade school (not that I was some child world traveler, but little family weekends, etc) because I could afford it and have kept it up all thru the years (and I'm now in my 40s). I have key chains from everywhere from Cedar Point to Mt Rushmore to NASA/Cape Canaverel to Paris to Peru.

I think this week's monochromatic challenge might be one of my faves - it was nice seeing all those different colors on the runway rather than the normal parade of black with sometimes red and blue.

Coats, cameras, sunglasses. Thankfully I have managed to curb my actual purchases of these things but at one point I probably had 50 pair of sunglasses, and 30+ coats (and that doesn't count blazers or cardigans), and 20 cameras. These estimates may be on the low side.

Dr. Pimple Popper - General Discussion
FormerMod-a1 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Dr. Pimple Popper
And she's not talking a few pops, or even 10-20. It's on the cases where there are hundreds. She'll get 50 plus (or even more, I think). And yes, some of them are hard to pinch out. -

That poor man with little tumors all over each of his 10 toenails. I've never seen anything like that. -
Possibly. I know I have issues accessing the site when I use a VPN. However, they aren't these exact issues, I just can't get to the site at all from some of the VPN sites.

Everybody Loves Raymond - General Discussion
FormerMod-a1 replied to a topic in Everybody Loves Raymond
I never saw Debra as a bad cook, even in later seasons, just not as good as Marie. I figured she tried to make healthier things, so less butter and oil and creamy sauces in the cooking, and she probably used more convenience foods and ingredients, unlike Marie who would make everything from scratch. Oh, and she also wasn't a perfectionist about it either, so if her cake wasn't perfectly level she didn't care. Put all those together and compare to Marie who enjoys cooking, makes everything from scratch, lives for the compliments, and is a perfectionist about it and Debra will pale in comparison. But compared to other people, she might not look so bad -
Battle Of The Brothers - General Discussion
FormerMod-a1 replied to Door County Cherry's topic in Battle Of The Brothers
This just started airing on the Food Network. I didn't know it was previously on Discovery+ so know nothing about. I tuned in because I like the Volt brothers. Not sure I like the "pick the weakest member of your team" thing, but I'll keep watching. I enjoyed it, overall. -
I initially ordered this because of the name, but I ended up liking it so every time after that was because I liked it.

Jägermeister I have no idea why shots of Jägermeister were a thing in college, but they were . I don't even like licorice but I did a lot of shots of Jager in my time. Never again.

Edge piece! But if all are taken, the middle is good, too. :D

Guy's Grocery Games - General Discussion
FormerMod-a1 replied to David T. Cole's topic in Guy's Grocery Games
I love that they're back in "Flavortown", I don't even mind the non-3-rounds format. I actually kind of liked this set up - app + dinner in 60 minutes. Limiting it to 9 items and using the same protein twice was insane, but they all did marvelously well with it. I wanted to try all their food, especially the tortilla soup, grilled flat iron, and fettuccine. -
